Thanks for the invite, but I don't think you'll see vectors with that much effort from me again. I've decided to (temporarily) stop vectoring works made by other artists. Ofcourse I give them my own twist/shades and fix up the quality, but I want to make something myself.. not just use works from others.

but before that I need a tablet and learn to work with that too so that's gonna take a while..
so no, sorry, I wouldn't be of much a member if I'd join

As a fellow member and a vectorer:
First of all: one actually CAN use stroking a path as a vector method - After all you can stroke paths in AdobeIllustrator which only creates vector graphics.
Second of all: Even though the shape layers are indeed a vector tool in PS, Photoshop as such is used for raster graphic. If you really want to be that strict to people, please use Illustrator or Corel or whatever other program you own that is strictly for vector graphics...

Although I do agree that stroking paths takes up less effort than ShapeLayering you really were rather mean in your comment toward JCzala... I mean you did speak in a know-it-all manner while you really could've rephrased your words to say something like 'personally I don't like stroking, I advise you to try some ShapeLayers 'cause they will give more depth to your vectors and improve them'. I do believe you didn't want to seem mean but the output was exactly as if you were implying she posted an effortless vector whatsoever...
She still is learning as we all are. Heck, back when I started I also stroked paths, but I have learned and now I even use AI from time to time ^^
And please remember your first vectors like Chihiro or Ray of Light which to me actually seem to be stroked (I can of course be wrong). Just because you developed this quickly doesn't mean everybody else will at the same pace!
We at Vectory share our works to get constructive criticism and not to be put down by other members, please remember this!

as i saw, tre vector was made in photoshop, and the "storke path" method is sure not a vector
and i know that photoshop is a raster program, but the vectors made in photoshop can be easily moved to illustrator/corel/... photoshop is just more "comfortable" for me
so its not a problem at all
and i dont speak in a know-it-all manner, i just think that those phrases are useless and they dont change the point even though the comment becomes more "kind"
and ur right, i also did use paths in the beggining, and yeah, i just developed quickly and i dodnt realize that it must be hard to use shapes for others
darn, once again im the reason of both world wars
i didnt mean to put someone down or flame, i just wrote what i thought
i can just leave the group if any comment without those sweet words is considered as puting someone down
