u used the paths method which isnt vectoring and using paths for the outlines is like the easiest thing u can ever do
try shapes and then ull understand what does the hard vectoring mean
plus the paths dont give a depth to the lines
they are thin, but its not always good
lines are made to divide one part of the other one
in ur case, the lines are not even noticeable
and the colours need more contrast/saturation/depth

good outline is the most important part of vector!

Are you referring to yourself? Cause all I know is that the one who started to comment the vector with such incredible "smartest" way is you. Don't act like you are totally right with just one thought, you are not the one who did that vector or the one who taught her. Perhaps it's true for you, the lines are easy in like 5 minutes to do, but do you know how she feel when doing it? Do you know how she think about her own artwork? And you criticised badly as though she didn't do anything. It's her way of vectoring, and also others' too. Don't be selfish and try to act like you're a master or the one who create vector in the first place. You are the one that should be kind to people, don't point something that would make me laugh - because you simply don't know me.

The shading was time-consuming, even if it was messy-looking. I went for a 'raw' or 'dynamic' feel on this piece -- eking out the details would give it an 'affected' look. Re: the background, I wanted to highlight the arm / pose, and thought that adding clouds might make it too cluttered. It does look a bit empty.

It would've made more sense, but I would've had to vector teeth *fear*, try to imagine that the mouth is about to be opened . I actually plastered my lips inches thick with lipgloss for the reference photo.
