Yes Nihei is love :D
I'm going to Japan for one year to study japanese, history and art. I will try to work part time too :)
So I have a few weeks left to finish some paintings and drawings before I go, but I will draw in Japan too of course. Moving is always a good source of inspiration :)

maybe you can meet exactly nihei , or can have a part time job for him !

Yeah, I'm still around, rarely :) I was pretty shocked/sort of depressed the other day when I saw your nice painting ;__; thinking about my lost chances at persuing a creative art career in favour of law... lol

Hope you are doing well. :)

Quote by GaiJiNStunning piece. One of the best I've seen around here! Composition is well done, lovely lighting and feeling of depth. The character reminds me of the lineage chara-design, mixed with the cyberpunk goodness, which together with the texture and colors also remind me of Nihei's work. Really great design as everything comes together nicely! One of your best!

haha , you absolutedly understand me . and . nihei is your favourite style too , right ?
:D
hey , move to japan ? how why and for ?
too learning or to works ?
my god !
i don't see you update some works later ?

Quote by GintheTwilightswords[(...) call this unique would be an understatement, for it is much more than that.Mere words couldn't begin to explain the amount of beauty, detail, and splendor these piece encompasses.I don't even know where to start on about what I like the most on the painting XD.I would have to say it would be how the piece gives a vision of the real and surreal;you did more than an excellent job with making the woman seem humanlike while revealing something is very unnatural about her.

This has to be one of the best pieces I've seen from since I've been a member on this site.Magnificent work,I'm very impress with how far you have come ^-^.

Haha that's a bit to much of a compliment for me but I'm really happy you liked it despite being quite different from my usual stuff. Thanks for the great comment and support as always!

I'm quite opened minded it when it comes to art,try not to forget that ;).You more than deserve the praise from me or anyone else, you're a wonderful artist and always have been.I am curious as to whether or not you have a deviantArt account.

Hi, just got back, stupid flight being canceled, anyway here is two LJ entries and a gallery with SMT art scans for examples of Kazuma Kaneko's works.

Unfortunately, digitaldevildb went and exploded New Years into a snowy flurry of MySQL errors so I can't show the exact SMT:Nocturne picture that I was reminded of by Evanescence at this moment. :hmpf:

You know better than me how life can happen, work+studies = little free time and no patience left for walling/etc. Now proceed with the drawings >:3

Happy Holidays and thanks for the comment! :)

Quote by GaiJiNYou have some nice strokes and an expressive style. Try to keep those qualities while working on key parts like the face. Keep it your style but the way you draw profiles needs some work. By improving small parts like the flow of the hair the picture will gain a lot, and also balance the whole thing, which is really important in b&w.
Ah almost forgot, you got some nice texture with your cross-hatch, keep it up!

thanks for the advice. i wanted to stick to a certain style for my drawings, which is thick apart from the hair and facial features. guess it doesnt turn out that good.. tyvm for ur comments:D

Haha stop teasing me or I might spam MT with my stuff >xD
Yeah it's not my style at all, no idea why, while having fun painting it ended up like this lol. Still glad to hear colours look ok. Next one will have pink in it, promise :P

Huh? You? Spam? B/c I'm teasing you? I'm not teasing you, silly, I'm serious. :D And nice, pink pictures are NOT spam XD

Yeah, it did look different. I thought you took a turn (into the gothic side), and I was all oh no C: I look forward to your next one then, but the pink better not be barely noticeable HAHA. Btw, I'm working on my new one. I've been so busy studying I'm so rusty! You're still in uni, right?

r q g

Quote by GaiJiNWhat are you saying lol, fullview all the way. Personally like the sharpness, adds up to the overall stress of your strokes. The strong style is perfect for the pic, could even use some more contrast if it comes to me. Great work, and for the love of blame!, you earn a fav anyway xD

Seriously? Wow, awesome! Thank you! =]

...I still like thumbnail though. It's about the actual size in real life. xD

Quote by frozenwildernessI love the color combination... never seen you work in color before.. but to do something like that with acrylics... wow, I don't even know how to handle that stuff X__x

Neither do I lol, but yeah color is fun so I hope to learn fast. And acrylic is quite easy (well some people do crazy things with it though), when I get used to it I want to try oil painting. By the way, your cging is getting like really good, do you improve thanks to tutorials or just by practicing?
Oh and happy holydays to you :)

Lol I tried acrylics once in hs... although I was trying to paint trees and not a person. Still I don't think it's that easy, I mean, it's paint... not like you can press an undo button and everything just goes away. You did a lot better on your first try with acrylics than my first try with cg... god that was horrid :X

Hmm and my cging... I don't really think my skills have improved that much, since I rarely ever get to the actual cg part of a picture.. I cg like 1 out of 50 drawings that I start. I've also read tutorials and stuff but they don't really help much because I find myself unable to handle the way other people cg and most are just basic tutorials which don't teach that much... I mostly mess around until I get something that I think is alright. I think it just looks like I've improved because I try out more layer modes and do more stuff in attempt to find the appropriate colors for something (like color adjustment - I'm so cheap). I dunno though, but thanks for the compliment :) I'll just have to keep up a semblance of improvement lol XD

r q g

No worries! Love your work! :3

r q g

Thanks! especially it's winter for you guys...an artwork giving warmth is the best thing ever haha xD

r q g

Still with the highly detailed pencil artworks I see...
I adore your ageha art very, very much to the extent of being totally confused how did you draw all that details with just 0.5 pencil?!?

Oh well, just dropping by to say, hi Gai-sensei :D and how do you do..
