sister's present hasnt arrived cause its on back order but she said its large
and I fan girl over it and its old school and also really expensive so I think

vectored in Illustrator I guess? Not a fan of the colour red but interesting
colours will always catch attention. Red and Grey

Lol yeah. I have a feeling Photoshop was just taking too much RAM. I took Ken
and Jak's advice and lowered it (it was 50% before, now it's 30%) and it seems
to not make so many horrible noises. I think the fan is working since there's
air coming out the back. I have enough space too, because well, >30GB free
space :P I think I might get more RAM later on though.
Haha yeah. By then we'll all be still young It's not
too much of a biggie. Enjoy it while it lasts
Australian architecture... it's because we're such a mix we don't have our own
style. The best we got was the Australian verandah (because of our climate).
Murcutt just simply designed these sort of enlongated sheds for living in
isolated areas and they were environmentally friendly/ good for the climate. We
have no distinctive architecture lol - Sydney just looks like any other city.
But we do have some great buildings, of course

days to draw because of the rendering. Thank God for drafting film!
Well, my philosophy about lecturers asking questions is not to trick you... they
just want to understand what you were thinking and what you were trying to do,
that's why they asked. There's this guy who asks a lot of questions and I know
someone who hates him because of that. But the truth is, he's only asking to see
how well you've thought about things... it's not that you're scared you can't
answer... you're scared of answering a stupid answer, which will then trigger
other questions. Questions aren't really that scary - they just prove how much
work you've done :P

Lol yeah. I have a feeling Photoshop was just taking too much RAM. I took Ken and Jak's advice and lowered it (it was 50% before, now it's 30%) and it seems to not make so many horrible noises. I think the fan is working since there's air coming out the back. I have enough space too, because well, >30GB free space :P I think I might get more RAM later on though.

Australian architecture... it's because we're such a mix we don't have our own style. The best we got was the Australian verandah (because of our climate). Murcutt just simply designed these sort of enlongated sheds for living in isolated areas and they were environmentally friendly/ good for the climate. We have no distinctive architecture lol - Sydney just looks like any other city. But we do have some great buildings, of course
Yep, same here. We had 2 A1 sheets for our last presentation. It took me like 3 days to draw because of the rendering. Thank God for drafting film!
Well, my philosophy about lecturers asking questions is not to trick you... they just want to understand what you were thinking and what you were trying to do, that's why they asked. There's this guy who asks a lot of questions and I know someone who hates him because of that. But the truth is, he's only asking to see how well you've thought about things... it's not that you're scared you can't answer... you're scared of answering a stupid answer, which will then trigger other questions. Questions aren't really that scary - they just prove how much work you've done :P

Yep, you're totally right about the models and stuff. This semester
we didn't make many models though, it was mostly the drawing that took me a long
time. I think after a while when you get your models and cutting accurate it
doesn't take too long. But the drawings... oh God. The fact I had to use colour
as well to make it look nice took forever *_*

I don't think he's done any huge buildings, but he's been doing a lot of work with the "Australian vernacular" and modernist stuff combined. And he's been defining Australian Architecture pretty well (our country is just a mishmash) so yeah, he's pretty good. I hope I don't get scared

And the funny thing is that my last presentation, we had the Head of Architecture as a guest (scary, yes!) and he was arguing with this other girl. And you know what he said? O_o I think the TV drama series has a different Kazuma thankfully.
I like Hanadan season 1.. but am halfway through season 2, don't have perseverence. If you've heard Otsuka Ai's Planetarium its actually quite catchy as well. I had both songs up for repeat for weeks wanyway.=D I wonder if you've seen Nodame Cantabile Live Action? Its a recommended watch as well.
