thank you for visiting my guestbook ~ and thank you again for the comment, i'm really happy to hear i succeeded with the lighting ! yes, i used really small watercolour brush for the road's hair to get the are done fast and smooth. big black areas are more easier to do with brush and yes as you said, it looks more neat when there cannot see the scratchiness that comes with pen lines. i can see the brush lines myself even when normally viewing the drawing without picture program like photoshop ~ it depends from the light settings of your screen that how big contrast you have in it :3 by the way, i hope you don't offent by this but i hope you didn't modify or didn't do anything else for my drawing when you looked at it on your photoshop ! anyway, the size of the brush i used is 2.

thank you again for your compliment, really appreciate it when hearing that my works are unique when done traditionally and the ideas are coming crealy out. i think thought that some highly professional people with doing digital media could easily create artwork like mine. but still i think it doesn't feel the same as doing traditionally ~ somehow for me it just seems more challenging and that it's giving you more in the end since while you do it, if there comes mistake, you can't erase it just like that like when doing digitally.

the ink is made in germany so i guess it's sold internationally, not sure though but just guessing. but you are welcome, hope you are able to find it and try it out :3

thank you again for the favourited and glad to hear you like them too. don't worry about it, i don't mind at all of geting comments on my old drawings ~ it's actually really nice to get comments on them too and it's not embarassing at all of commenting them ! especially since for the viewer who haven't seen them before, they are new to their eyes so it's really grateful to get comments on them as well as on the newer ones. anyway ~ i haven't actually drawn lavi yet, might be fun to try sometimes !

any other medium than ink ? yes i do, mostly normal propelling pencil and then black markers if doing just lining. but if i colour the drawings, then i nowadays use mainly copic markers ~ but i enjoy still using watercolours and coloured pencils too which i used to use before geting copic markers.
aaw, i wish you are able to get scanner someday ~ it would be nice to see your drawings ! just came to my mind that could you have a change to scan your drawings at school maybe ?

That all sounds rather interesting! I would love to try inking out soon but some stuff came up so.. I might not be able to do that anytime soon.. But, hey! The watercolour brush I got is size 2! Now, I don't have to search for that.. And Pelikan turned out to be the same brand a friend of mine uses at the office. So maybe I could ask my friend to get it for me..

Don't worry! I was just looking at it through Photoshop, because I wanted to refresh my memory on how it looked. I would never doodle any artists' pieces, at least not with their permission! I admit I like turning them around, into new angles sometimes though..

I get what you mean about doing it traditionally.. It feels great when we get it done after spending so much time and effort on it, then can display it proudly. And, yeah, there's no CTRL + Z in art, let alone in life.. I remember some pictures that screw up because I peskily decided the proportion looked wrong, rubbed something off then find that I couldn't get it back.. the horror..

After I drew Lavi in my first DGM fanart, it felt hard to draw him again.. But then I just felt the urge to draw him, during class, so I got out paper, and just let my hand go! Well, it looks more like the doujin style.. but I like how it turned out. It's not complete, not satisfied with the legs' pose, and no background yet.. but the face will absolutely remain! I will NOT ever rub it off.. Just hope that after my hiatus, I still will be able to draw it..

Looks like you really are talented, Zefie! I mainly use pencils for fanart, though I have ONE that I used a nomal black pen for (and it turned out not bad, surprise surprise) and I have learned watercolours, poster colours and acrylic before..

No, no scanner at school either. No sign of my friend rushing to scan the ones I passed to him either. :sigh:

aah, tyki ~ i didn't manage to do him quite well and not the way i wanted. i wanted him to be portrayed bit from bird's eye view, but i couldn't get it done right. but i'm happy the way i still got him since it might have been worse too. thank you again for the compliment and critique as well ! it's always nice to get some not so well succeeded things pointed out too along the succeeded ones, gives good balance and not the feeling that everybody is just saying your work is perfect ~ (not dare to point out something which they don't like, just because you are their friend or that not make you offended) ~ when you can clearly see it yourself that it honestly isn't ~ hehe, am i making any sense ?

My pleasure! It is hard to find screentones... I don't think there's anywhere near where I live that sells them, either. And doing it digitally takes some of the fun out of it, methinks. Still, if you had used screentones, it wouldn't have been quite so impressive.

*shrug* I've found well-balanced critique is worth a thousand gushing praises, so I try to be helpful. lol. I'm glad I was able to be of some assistance. (No worries. You made sense to me.)

Glad to know you liked my comment! You did great with the lighting! Yes, I suppose I meant Road's hair.. So you did use a brush! That clears things up! I was wondering how you made it so smooth because I couldn't see any of the scratchiness that comes with pen lines. Now that I'm looking at your picture through my Photoshop, I can see the brush strokes.. Hmm, I think I have just the right brush for that.. though I really should be using that for my watercolours..

Yes, I would love to know the techniques some people use for their awesome art. It's nice to try it out ourselves, feels like an accomplishment when we managed to get it right.. I don't know if anyone else could make a doujinshi quite like yours, through Photoshop.. one of the reasons yours is unique is that we can see that it is traditionally inked and your own ideaas well.

You're welcome for the favourites. They were really worth it! I was going to comment on the other previous works but it felt a bit embarrassing since they were from last year.. But they were gorgeous! And I loved the creativity I could see in them.. Evidently a D Gray Man fan, I see. Ever drawn Lavi? I just made a fanart for the four main charas, and it was fun to draw his hair..

Sorry for the terrible lateness sweetie, I just barely survived a HELLISH WEEK *drops dead* LOL still hanging on. Only had 4 hours on average of sleep this past week because I was studying for two back-to-back midterms, finishing two assignments that was due while power studying for a quiz all on the same day and working on a lab report due on the day of one of my midterm. Indeed a hellish week. I'm so glad it is finally over, and I hadthe best sleep last night ^__^ A bottle of Advil and a month's worth of coffee are my saviors! Plus I'm off for one week for spring break so I finally have the chance to drop by and visit my dear friend! *big hugs*

It's so addicting but after a while my fingers and wrists are really sore! Holy Smokes! Your average for FFX was 270 hours!? I think I'm sitting at 180 hours and still not even halfway (had to stop playing because of school). For FF12 I have like 72 hours on it and I'm only just battled a big boss. So much time must be put into training (also stopped playing due to school).

yes, already used to this new renovated house ~ though i still hit my head sometimes to the bottom of my bed when i rise up from the pc which is under the bed. weee, nice to hear i'm not the only one who has eeh...issues with vacuum cleaner i'm happy to hear your ps controller still works even though the wires got to vacuum cleaner ~ my pc controllers are so old that when you wave them in your hands there can be heard funny sound like there would be something off of it's place inside the controller, but the still work fine xDDD

i'm so happy you like my chibi-animal-note version of death note ~ had really fun while making it making the swollen cheek for him from L-bunny's slap was quite pain since it mostly looked weird but the way i finally got it done is quite satisfied. i personally like most the way how ruyk turned out, his hands was so hard to add but they were must since without them he look like big something weird flying thing. i'm so glad you like the sun and clouds as well and the colouring too, i tryed to keep the colouring as simple as possible since the drawing itself is quite simple. thank you for your comment and support again ~ really appreciate it sweetie <333 and thankies for the fav too !

And wowies! You had Japanese visitors come to your home (sorry it was weeks ago when you told me about it)! That's really cool to make new friends! A Malaysian visitor came to our home just yesterday and he really liked playing video games with us because it was his first time seeing it. It was kinda of crazy since he was a natural gamer and kicked my butt so easily just after teaching him how to play!

AHHH! Math! I used to love math and calculus but after a horrible midterm I came to dislike it. Well it's more like I came to dislike my professor since he taught us the wrong method and got everyone in class screwed over. It really sux and so I had to work three times harder to learn the correct methods myself. Well, I'm glad finals are over though! Wowies, glad to hear that psychology is your favorite class! I find it interesting but I have no room in my schedule to take it
