Bwahahaha it's nothing special. I'm not even sure it's a technique more like a trend or a style maybe. I remember it was popular in 90s pop art. You still can get the mass produced prints of those pieces, though they're not in vogue anymore

thanks for the comments and yeah i know you have 2 takeshi okazaki walls with girls wearing kimonos also but we used different scans :B
