At first I looked at this scan and I was like.. this looks easy! Then when I started, I got a bit tired of it and found out it was REALLY tough, but I kept pushing on! I finally finished it and then ended up happy because of the comments and faves make me happy . I decided to do the background instead since I don't know how to make backgrounds other than simple gradients . Thanks for the comment . Bye byee

@complex plots: Haha true - it's kind of why I wasn't THAT big a fan of Ghost in the Shell - while they are good, sometimes the storyline got a bit o_O for me. Actually, you may find Le Chevalier d'Eon a wee bit annoying then. See I personally love a good sword fight or two, so I was quite fond of the show Where I started to get lost is the part of Medmenham Abbey (about ep... 16/17)... I think I shall have to watch that bit again. And the end. But hey

As for Kanji - it's just the sound effects - all the dialog is in English and if a Japanese word is use, there is often a little annotation (*) on it to explain what that word means (or one case) phrases

i have a little question... it's been like a week that i ve been entering MT and i can't see the thumbnail images... i mean... the little pictures of everything on MT.. the only way of seing something is by downloading it... so i wanted to know if it's only me or if there is a problem on MT.. i also tryed with explorer.. but i got the same issue... maybe its just my conection mmm...
well let me know if there is something i can do to solve the problem.. xD

btw u paint with a tablet right?.. cause i'm trying mine and i'm a bit clueless on how to make outlines... i'm using painter... learning it xD .. so if u can give me some tips/advise i would appreciate it A LOT Xd
oh and i use msn if u wanna talk sometime, cause i don't really know many ppl that paints with tablet to talk to lols..

Yay for internet addiction!;D Hehe I was like that too - until my computer died... so I was forced to reduce my time spent on the net by like 3/4

Then life started up again and I found that I was so busy that I had time for little else - including anime! (How on earth did I survive? ) But now, back on holidays and searching for some new stuff to watch. I've just about finished Le Chevalier d'Eon, which I am loving and I think next on my list to watch is School Rumble cause a friend recommended it. We'll see how that goes because it seems very different to what I like in an anime, but you know it doesn't hurt to give it a go right?

Okay, not THAT hard but a little time consuming. I've started with anime images (Le Chevalier d'Eon ) because as you said they are bold and easy to color. Haha I think it's a long way though before I get up to anything more difficult

He he, I wanted to individually paint all the leaves and roses but Photoshop kicked a stink about a quarter of the way in so it was back to the old cut and paste routine.But at least I got to use my tablet for more than just vectoring and painting other people's art at last. ^_^

And thanks for the constructive criticism. I've updated the wall [twice!] with a new bg, though I gotta admit I still kinda like my old non-representational bg - but i was so in the minority...

Are they supposed to be sitting in the snow? 'cause it looks like they're kinda floating/hovering above it, esp with Syaoran's leg. I like what you did with his hand, having a bit of snow covering it to make it look like his hand is in the snow instead of just on top of it. Since snow is soft, and there's a lot of it, I'd think if they were sitting on the snow they'd be some kind of indent ^^;

The tree, while it's well-made, looks a bit random and.. unnecessary, and it blocks off the openness of the perspective of the background, if you know what I mean ^^; Also, because the background is so light, the black outlines stand out a bit too much from it... maybe use a brown outlines instead of pure black to soften it a bit?

Nice job painting the background, esp the snow ^^ And the clouds look nice too, though they're a teeny bit over-smudged, but that's okay.

Anyway, nice work ^^

Well you're right about the snow; I tried to put some of the snow covering Syaoran's leg, but since his pants are white you can't really tell. I guess I should have tried a little more in making the snow look "sat-in".

The tree is kind of random; I looked at the wall many times with and without the tree. Since the wall is already pretty empty it looked even more so without the tree, so I left it.

Ah, you like my painting? Thank you! You're right, a lot of it is over-smudged, I can't seem to get out of that habit. But if you think parts of it are good I think I can improve in time

Anyways thanks for your feedback! I appreciate it and I'll try to use it next time I'm making a wall like this ^_^
