Quote by ProgramZEROOkay, I'm finding myself divided between a pro-choice stance and a pro-life stance... I mean people don't just become pregnant so it is possible to assume both stances... In a way... Right? Someone pro-choice leaves people less liable for their actions and so part of me says, "deal with your actions, you've been warned aplenty". And the common argument of "abortions end lives" strike me as having much truth to it. Someone pro-life may force someone who has been the victim of rape or who's health is at risk as a result of pregnancy to have a child at the cost of their own mental or physical health or to seek an illegal abortion because giving birth would alter their life dramatically. In the most extreme case, kill them. I'm... stuck...

It is indeed very hard... Like, they shouldn't be pregnant... why are they... and I know, it should be very hard if you have to take care of a child, that you didn't get in the way you wanted.. I'm still against abortion... but indeed it would make life hard for those ppl... they could give the child up to adoption, but I have read stories that it's even harder to give your child away after all those months you walked with it, then it is to raise it...

did you know that to common argument of those raped and pregnant is to abort their child. It is because they are afraid that they will be like the one that did this to them...
I would say that you have to raise it then, that it may become a good person... rather then kill it before it even had the chance to chose....

Indeed, its hard....

Yup, there's many manga. They're official, but... uh... they kinda suck since they're for little kids. ~_~ Nonetheless, they provide a rather interesting interpretation to the series, though I don't consider them canon since they change too much stuff around.

zeldalegends.net has scanalations, and you can import them online.
If they're any Japanese bookstores near you, they might have them too. ;)

Here's a list of all of them so far:
OoT vol 1 and 2
MM
OoS-OoA
FS+ vol 1 and 2
ALttP (KnT)
TMC

Quote by ProgramZEROLOL! I love political satire. My favorite part was the iRan part at the end. Here's something you might've seen before but in case you haven't: Spiders on Drugs

yeah I've seen it the last time you posted it on the group page but the marijuana spider is so sad XD
I guess spiders act exactly like people do when they're drunk, hyper, pissed off or on other drugs XD

*waves hello* I just wanted to come by and tell you that its nice to have intelligent and open minded conversations here on MT with people like you. Its very refreshing. :D I also wanted to thank you as well as alexjohnc3 and shinsengumi89 for letting me do the layout and welcoming me into the group. I really like it there. Anyways, I hope you have a wonderful day and I get to talk more to you later. :)

Quote: 4. "The universe is ordered by natural laws. Where did these laws come from and what purpose do they serve?

Quote: "Hmmm, laws as in laws of thermodynamics and such? Well, those are created by man and I too have once lost myself in the sophistication of the scientific laws humanity has formulated to organize everything in existence. F=ma, the laws of thermodynamics, the law of conservation of energy, laws governing momentum all have a human origin. These are all, however, all just our observations of the events and occurences around us.

I think I had always meant for that question to have been Gravity. I have always wondered why we have gravity. I even expected someone to bring up String Theory. XD I mean, isn't that what was supposed to have been behind the big bang...>>> relating to the attraction of electrons and protons? That question has always bugged me. Humans didn't have anything to do with Gravity. Gravity was there before everything... I guess also thermodynamics too... but only the reactions, not the explainations... right? ^_^'

Quote: I'd like to thank you for asking me these questions. I too have asked myself these questions and have thought about them for a long time. I have asked myself such spiritual questions about higher deities and would conclude my contemplation like this: "I know not of a higher power or order but if there is one, I would believe it feasible that this higher power would present itself in the order and beauty of all that is in existence, not in a concern for the actions of man." Einstein would agree with this quote.
And here's a quote I like to live by: "I am not at all concerned about the afterlife. What will come will come and there is nothing I can do to stop that fact. All I know for certain are things that help people and things that hurt people. I would rather build hospitals than churches, I'd rather give without motivation than expect a reward later in life. Many people tell me what is good and what is bad, what will save me and what will burn me. All I know for certain is that which helps and that which hurts. If I am to burn in a lake of fire for doing what I feel is correct then so be it. I shall burn with the confidence that I have done good and that whatever force that placed me in a lake of fire wasn't a force I would've wanted to pray to anyways." :)

Thank you so much for giving me such a detailed and thourough explaination of your opinions and ideas for these questions. :D I greatly appreciate all the imput. Your quote, whose is it? Someone else's, your own, or a mixture of the two? Its rather interesting. ^^ Thank you again for your thoughful reply and your personal beliefs on those questions! :D

Hi Mr. Atheist. =P

Hi, Mr. Atheist... Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions and let me understand your point of view... It is greatly appreciated...

Quote by ProgramZEROWell, I would think it would be better that MT would welcome discussion instead of closing threads down because of age. Oh well.

hi~

as far as i remember, you can revive it, provided you have new opinions (but i doubt that will help ^_^' )

Quote by MT policyIn most cases, you may not revive a thread which had not received posts in a substantial amount of time unless you have information that is of significant value to the discussion.

i suggest you may talk to the mod who close it, if that helps ;)

r q g

Quote by ProgramZEROReally? That's counter-productive. If the people will it, shouldn't it be? Anyways, if it is, however, I'll stop posting.

Hey there :) I learnt from experience that MT doesn't want old, inactive threads to be revived.
The mods once closed an old thread of mine that got revived and the reason they gave was that old threads shouldn't be revived. Just thought that you might want to know :)
