I had a look at ur V2 wallpaper. It's a decent effort for a first wall, but I'm
afraid the mods might remove it. The main reason is that you haven't modified
the scan very much. Even though the scan itself is extremely crisp and detailed,
there isn't a significant change to the original scan.
You could vector out the characters and the bits of background they're sitting
or leaning on. Then add a grungy or smokey layer to add to the effect of total
destruction.

as my wallpaper...I have never made anything cool enough to use as my own

stuff to add to our gallery as well as trying to come up with some new graphics

i am taking a chinese history class thie term and we are discussing the
modernization of china as the key topic of the class.the thread caught my eye,
becuause i have a final paper due this firday in which i am to address the topic
and provide my own take on the question of china's modernity. the book that we
are reading argues that china is not modern, that it has been cuahgt in a cycle
of despotic leaders that echo the dynastic system of the qing and ming, the two
dynasties we have studied. he argues that chinese history is cyclical and that
ultimately chinas has not made any progress or changed from itsdynastic years. i
however am not sure if i agree with this statement. but i do find some echos
that have stayed with china since the ming and the qing, which i feel has been a
dter to china's progress. but yeah. so..i was wonderingg, what do you think on
the matter of chinese modernity? a quick reply, or you moron, is fine. i guess i
was just using this thread and your reply to get into the mood for writing my

very informative indeed. and yes, your reply was helpful t ground my ideas and
prior knowledge more solidly into my mind. in my essay i will be arguing the
singularity of modernity. that while t is important to understand other
countries and peoples nonexclusive to outward interpretations of such countries,
it is also necessary to attribute a single understanding of modernity to all the
glode. otherwise, to attribute chinese modernity as signicficantly different
from europe or russian or americas modernity would be similar as saying my
interpretations of the world are right as they are my own and yours are just as
right as they are your own. ultimately i argue for unity of thought a
understanding. an actually i am studying digital art in america at the portland
art institute. by no means prestigious, but bourgeoisie tendancies are not my
fortei. cheers.
