Arrrgh. That ***censored*** is back >=0000000~~~~~!
Thanks. I had forgotten for quite sometime but now that you've reminded me, I
shall deal with her somehow >D
Btw, ooh vexelling sounds interesting. But these days, I've gotten so lazy that
I've got like 5 unfinished vectors xDDD
PS - feel free to call me Euna It's my
actual name anyway :P
*totally random*
Congrats gaara for your promotion!
I was gonna comment on a wall and I saw your username on italics and I thought I
should congrats ya! ^^
Now you can highlight stuff! LOL
Oh, why you are not on my watchlist *adds*
Anyway, Congratulations again ^^

Dude, for some odd reason I can't access to Vexel Revolution :I
Quote by gaara-no-shukakuNice
job vectoring a screenshot, and putting original touches on the vector. Though
I'm not a big fan of how the dark colour turned out, but those designs look cool
and fit with your concept.
Quote by gaara-no-shukakuIndeed
it looks simple, but I always adore works that originally from screenshot.
Something cool I think. The vector looks nice and the use of texts reminds me of
old-school walls. It's good.
Thanks for your nice comment on "Sadness and Sorrow".
Take care and have a nice day!
Nope, I didn't sketch them. I was going to, but in the end I just kinda jumped
right in with the pen tool, neatening and tweaking the design as I went.
Anyway, thanks muchly for taking the time to comment, it's always appreciated.
All the best to you and thanks again. ^_^
Quote by gaara-no-shukakuI was
thinking if there is something new highlighted today, and yeah, I found one.
Perfect choice of scan to be vectored, very bright colour scheme which I think
makes this stand out. Great use of thin and bold lines, plus subtle textures,
that absolutely turned the scan into such professional-looking vector. Nice
work, and of course, congrats on the highlighted. Something worth fullviewing.
thx for the awesome comment
u know i i dint think about the highlight when i chose it, i just thought that i
have to find a beautiful scan for my little sis saki-chan

Quote by saikusaReading Mai-Chan's GB is
the complete opposite to reading BotChii's old GuestBook. It's... nice!
Seems like BotChii had her own guestbook too. Another history is revealed! (at least
to me, lol)
Yup yup... Our beloved BotChii used to have a
userpage with GuestBook just like everyone else.
Naturally people went their to vent their anger & let off steam at the evil
& nasty BotChii who had deleted their wallpapers.
Personally, I found it hysterical to go their & read the vile & vitriol
people would release at a non-existent person *tee* *hee*

Quote by gaara-no-shukakuSo,
BotChii really had her guestbook.. Too bad people don't like her, and now,
Mai-chan gets more love than her(even they know it's another non-existent person
).
Talking about this Bot things, how about bot-freya? What was her job?
Yup yup! Mai-Chan's the baby sister & BotFreya is the
older sister who diligently works behind the scenes
Actually Freya was made as a test subject. If you do something to BotFreya (like
ban or restrict her) and then log in to Freya and see what effects it has.
Helpful, but a lot less public than Mai-Chan or BotChii. It's why not a lot of
people knew about BotFreya until Mai-Chan spilled the beans (like any good
little sister would do... grass on their older brothers & sisters )
Quote by gaara-no-shukakuWooot,
first entry! ^.^
Love the shading, very detailed and the colour is good(though abit saturated on
the left side). Yeah, her eyes look not good. You should never use pure white
for the base of the eyes, I usually use darker base colour (for example here,
maybe alil brownish tone). I wish you vexel her hair as well though... But
overall, really good vexel from you. =)
thank you
i used a light blue colour for the base of her eyes BUT for the scary/dark
effect i used brightness/contrast so the eyes came out white and the skin is
saturated
idk, i love it the way it is...
and for the hair.... u just didnt understand the trick
anyway thxc for commenting
Quote by gaara-no-shukakuI know
the defintion is rather complicated, but I'm afraid to jump on conclusion on
what vexel really is. So, it's quite safer to put Wiki's definition. Should I
put my own definition? =S And I feel like putting your definition in the
website, is that okay?
Sure. Yeah, different people have
different definitions of vexel... My definition there is sort of based on
vexels.net's definition in that it's more of a style than a technique (ie it
doesn't matter how it's created), 'cept I kinda enforced that it has to consist
of only vector techniques (ie pen tool only). But if you ask deviantart, vexel =
vector + raster. ie, by their definition, it's something that looks like it's
created with the pen tool, but using some or all raster techniques such as
paintbucket, blurring, brushes etc (I read some vexel tutorials on devART that
directly uses raster functions like the lasso tool and paint bucket instead of
pen tool). In fact, that's how devART distinguishes between the two: vector = no
raster, vexel = raster allowed. (So I guess my definition there would be
considered 'vectors' rather than 'vexels' by devART). It's up to you what you
want to enforce.
I saw ppl asking for tutorials, so I found some at devART (that only uses pen
tool):
- General/skin,
for PS
- Eyes
(the person uses PSP7, but the tutorial is pretty general)
- Lips
(again, uses PSP7, but can be applied to any program with pen tool)
- General
vexelling, uses same technique as your skin tutorial, so it's up to you
whether you want to include it. But it could tell people that vexelling doesn't
have to be done with just people
- Hair,
kinda simple, dunno how helpful it'd be.
I really wish there was a tut on how to vexel anime (ie, put more layers of
shading and stuff, just to tell people that it doesn't have to be from
photographs...)
Quote by MapleRose@Vectory's gallery:
Eheh, I guess that's the thing with not putting them up in order (hey, it looks
more interesting that way), but the oldest is "Travellers", then
"Karma Star", then "Rain Maker", then "Spread Your
Wings", then "refreshingly soft", then "smile for me
everyone", then "cool of summer" then "breakaway".
phew. if it's easier for you, you can put them in some sort of order. I just try
to remember, and then look at the messages if I'm not sure. Or you can put some
sort of note somewhere in the code or something
Whoa, you can
remember all that? I like if there're notes somewhere in the code.
Lol, well I did have to look back at the older messages to see them. I suppose
you could either: put HTML comments with <!-- comment --> beside the
thumbnail, or tack a note in the alt tag (since you won't see it unless the
thumbs don't show anyway). Uh, I guess you can... put in the date that it went
up, so you don't have to shuffle everything every time.
Quote by gaara-no-shukakuI would
say the textured version looks better, cause it gives a nice depth to the wall,
compared to the soft one. But that's a matter of preference.
Very nicely vectored(or I presume vexel?). Did you vector the background as
well? Cause it looks like it.
Indeed the birds are weird, but I don't mind actually. =)
Hello!
Thank you very much for the comment!
Yeah, I vectored the background too(from a pic I found on google ).
Hmmm...I think the birds need a little more details maybe...I think that's why
they look weird
Thank you anyway! ^^
Bye!
