today was our Independence Day and my choir had to perform at a cheesy concert
and we had to learn 5 songs in 2 days [like getting up at 7 AM and staying at
school for about 7 hours and there weren't even chairs and my feet hurt] but now
it passed and I'll be free and get online. I'm still afraid of choking tho.

I like limiting colors, I liked the idea of only part of the character can show,
and I like having an abstract and a realistic category. What if we limited it to
color schemes? They can choose primary and can only use red, yellow and blue,
fall colors and only do orange, gold and brown, choose ocean colors and can only
use blue, aqua and green, stuff like that. Since it's not a vectoring contest,
we'd have to make that a requirement for the bg, since characters will have skin
and stuff. Here are my ideas for the color scheme idea:
primary: red, yellow and blue only
secondary: green, orange and purple only
fall: orange, gold and brown only
ocean: green, aqua and blue only
night: black, blue and purple only
I'd say all of them can include white, but not as a main color.
We'd have to require that the character be primarily those colors, even if that
means recoloring some of his/her clothes.
So, total contest requirements: only part of a character can show, only colors
in the selected scheme can be used, and it can be realistic or abstract. Winners
will be chosen by 50% popular vote and 50% judges' choice. We'd probably want to
judge based on how well they followed the themes, how technically good the wall
is (extraction and stuff), and overall artistic quality.

hmm...I might be okay without snapshots. I just cant figure out how to move my
vector points around. Like, I know how to make the arcs and stuff, but if I want
to move the point right or left and I hold ctrl like I do in photoshop, it
free-transforms the whole path. i also get this bounding box or whatever its
called, and i get this black outlined box around my image, and when i try to
open it in photoshop, it crops my image. T____T
do you have msn by any chance? mine is xohawaiiankissxoATaimDOTcom *replacing
the AT and DOT with the corresponding stuff*

snapshots on your computer/laptop right?
I do have an AIM and it's PhoenixSecret! =) We might need to take up a date and

with Illustrator, so I guess I'm glad I use Photoshop, but faster would be nice

lol speaking of scary movies...(i read your "it" description) when I
watched the Grudge I couldnt sleep for three nights straight. I had to have all
my lights on, and I was so paranoid when I was in the shower or on the bus.

Like mu-chan said, you need to blend your characters in more. The bg looks okay,
but you need to filter your building on the left side more because its obvious
that its a stock photo. I dont use filters, but I've seen people use the
watercolor filter, or the poster edge(i think thats what its called?) filter. Go
throough your filters and figure out which one works the best for you!
You also need to practice on your character extractions, and the image quality
doesnt look so great. I dont know if you resized your image, but it looks like
someone made the image bigger. I'm not blaming you for that - sometimes
scanuploaders upload their scans without realizing that theyre enlarged.
