I'm not really a religious person, and I don't know everything about Buddhism, but I think you've got the idea of Nirvana quite right I was brought up as a Buddhist, but the teachings and beliefs have been influenced by Taoism, and also Chinese beliefs, so I guess the Buddhism I know ends up being a mixture of all three

The creation story sounds rather simillair to something I read about another religion. yes, you got the point too that gigantic man is Pangu himself. but i'm not sure if other mythologies bear similarities with it as far as i know, Muslims too believe humans are made from earth's soil, pretty similar to Chinese's which states humans are created from clay.
