Hello Brin!

I was browsing a bit through my own gb, and then I saw a message from u XD And I was like, OMG, I haven't talked to him for so long, should check out how he's doing^^
So here I am, spamming ur gb X-P
How have u been lately? Still having fun with ur studies? I take it u can almost speak Vietnamese fluently by now ;) That was ur favorite class right?

Oh yeah, and ur gonna move to Oregon soon too now. Must be exciting for u.
Well I wouldn't know what it's like to move, cuz I've been living in the same house for all my life already, lol.
But I take it it's thrilling yet also sad cuz u gotta leave the place u've been living for so long.

I'm listening the OST of Cowboy Bebop right now, and it's GOOD ^___^ Love the relaxed sounds :D Do u watch any anime? Oh, and do u still listen to that traditional (Irish, was it?) music? Just being curious, like always XD

Anyway, I'm talking too much again. Bad habit.

Well, take care!

Quote: Well i'm taking two at the moment I'm moving out to the West Coast, Oregon to be exact in December alittle after Christmas so I didn't take too many classes but the plan being to transfer into a University out there but ya the two I'm taking are Vietnamese and Historical Archeology, the latter being my favorite, not say Vietnamese is bad after all i love another languages but I like History a bit more, and the class is all about local history of my county which is in danger because of over development so that brings the political factor into it another one of my favorite subjects so it a big mix of things that i really enjoy. For the band you can check out them out here SoundClick, its pretty good music site for finding small bands but ya the new one i put up is the Bow Triplets, they're Irish Folk so i don't know if thats your thing but i like them :P, Well i hope your college works out, I've always wanted to go to college in Europe so i'm jealous.

Wow, that must be some pretty difficult stuff ur studying there ^_^' Good luck with it :D And ur moving to the West Coast in December, wow, that must be quite something :o
Lol I checked out the link, but it isn't really my style hehe ^_^' I'm not very much into traditional music, not really my thing. But thanks for the link anyways :)
Lol maybe one day u can come over over to Europe and go to college here, I bet u would love it ^^

Quote: Lol, no actually i would like to go because dutch as a language is pretty similar to German and i study and speak alittle German, i've wanted to see the lowlands with the windmills and flowers and the defenses you guys build to keep the north sea from flooding the country are interesting so i'd like to see those, um i like history and pretty much Europe is filled with it, it was pretty cool in Germany to see towns and cities which go back thousands of years compared to the 300 hundred years around where i live. Of course if i went to cities I'd like to the nightlife so nightclubs yes, but the red light district, maybe to walk through just to see what its like, but no thanks on the whores and the drugs if i really wanted to i could get the same stuff here so it'd just be a waste to go overseas. So yes i wouldn't believe myself to be one of those morons :)

Ach so :) Yeah, the German language is pretty similar to Dutch, but ours is way more beautiful, lol :D
O yeah, we got a lot of windmills and flowers around here, lol :) O, so ur interested in our Northsea defense system, really, I find it rather boring, hehe. But I guess that's because it's all so normal to me XD
Good to hear ur not a visitor of the red lights district, that's a relief lol :)
Well, if ur planning to visit the west coast of Holland, maybe I'll see u around on the beach or something, cuz I'm living at a 5 minute walk from the sea :D We got a beautiful beach btw ;)
In highschool I studied German language too, and I was pretty good at it. But that's 5 years ago now, and I've forgotten almost everything already, lol :D
Well anyway "Ich wunsche Sie vielen Gluck mit Ihren Studie" or something like that, lols :P

"Auf wiedersehen" then, or as we say it "Tot ziens!", lols :)

Quote by Brinyes my friend recently showed me some pete seeger and i've always liked woody guthrie but other than that i really don't know any other folk bands, have any good recommendations?

Wow i can't believe someone else on MT listens to Pete Seeger and Woody Guthry.

Pete Seeger's Album If I had a Hammer: Songs of Hope and Struggle is great.

As too recommendations, here are some Contemporary Folk artists.

Richard Shindell- The Best Current Folk Artist Rated by the New York Times(though not well known)
http://www.richardshindell.com/

Slaid Cleaves- Americana/Folk
http://www.slaid.com/

Hope it was helpful.

Quote by BrinThanks for the comment, ya it is pretty bad everyone i know has a cellphone, its just a normal thing around where i live i guess being a teenager and all. Well nice to meet you and i'm sure i'll see you around, in fact i just posted in another one of your threads, lol after you read it your probably going to have a worse view of me :P

I read ur post on being drunk, haha, lol :D Well, u sure know how to have fun :D Jeez, ur quite a party-animal, aren't ya ;)
But ur pretty lucky not to be bothered by hang-overs, haha :), cuz most ppl do.
Well, have fun this weekend, but don't do anything too crazy eh, lol :)

Quote by BrinLol, don't worry like i said i don't drink that much, but when i do lol, but I was surprised when you said you don't drink yet you live in the Netherlands (well thats a pretty big assumption) but i always thought that Europeans had much more liberal views on alcohol, could it possibly be your Muslim? I've always wanted to visit the Netherlands, the closest i got was Germany. But I'm sure I'll make it someday. Well hope you have a nice mittwoch.

Oh, so ur not a real drinker after all, thank goodness, I thought u were really bad :D
I live in the Netherlands, yeah. But I must say I'm a bit out of the ordinary, haha :) I don't know about all Europeans, but most Dutch ppl perfectly know how to have a blast of a weekend and get drunk whenever they can. I'm not like that though :)
Even children of 13 years old are drinking alcohol here, it's like paradise to the morons abroad, I guess. I don't think it's all that great we've got a reputation like this though, it's just embarrassing.
And lol, no I'm not Muslim, but I am religious.
Oh, and why would like to visit Holland? I hope ur not one of those morons I mentioned earlier who only come here to get drugs the easy way, visit nightclubs and go to the whores, eh?
And my mittwoch is almost over lol, but it was a nice day ^_^ I hope u have a nice day too :)
