Quote by etherelithicEven though you proport this work to be simple, it very much so has a lot of attention to detail, which in the end is what I feel makes this wallpaper great. I'm quite fond of the various patterns used in specific locations, and I do admire the seeming simplicity of the work in general. Great job.

Hey ! Thanks a lot for the nice comment ! It's true that I used patterns and tried to put details here and there but I still call this wall simple because it actually looks simple, not like the ones with tons of effects or else, that look very elaborated (and always impress me so much o_o)
Anyway, thanks again, I'm very glad you like my work !
Have a nice day ! =D

Quote by etherelithicThis is simply very good. There are times when it's best not to over-analyze techniques and just sit back and appreciate the art. You have done a fantastic job, and I must commend you for it.

Hey~~

And thanks for the compliment as well. You're right, somethimes techniques are not very important. :)

Have a nice day!~

Quote by etherelithicI rather dislike the texturing you did on the female scan. I think it would have worked much better without it. THe texturing detaches the main character from an otherwise very cohesive background.

ya i didn't like it either i might update it soon so the texture on orihime is gone, it came like that with the scan so it's a bit hard, but i'll try to get rid of it! :D :D :D

Quote by etherelithicHm I would have to agree with Kenichi's comments. It doesn't 'feel' bright, even though it should. The picture looks as if the entire environment is inside a very large room. It just doesn't feel "outside." the figure also looks to be out of proportion with the background. She looks "bigger" than the rest of the picture. the colors of the figure don't seem to blend in well with the background either, i.e. they clash. I do think thet you've got a lot of things right, and if you just work a little harder, it'll be fantastic.

Thanks for commenting on my wall! I see what you mean by she looks bigger. If she were to get up she could just walk over the water. XD Well I shall try harder next time! Take care and have a nice day! :D

Quote by etherelithicabsolutely superb. Fantastic manipulation of background and foreground. It is very interesting to see the background in front of the main figure, and making the foreground more flat and 2Dish than the main figure leands a fascinating picture. Excellent job.

Thanks a bunch for the comment on "My Way"! I'm glad you liked it!

Quote by etherelithicBeautiful, but at the same time inhumanly statuesque. As others have said, it is rather eerie, especially the eyes. Somehow I feel the lower part of the backgound is a little to bright for the rest of the picture, but it still works out quite well.

Hey dude!
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate.
You perfectly discribed the reasons why I love and chose this scan ;) And also why I wanted to make a wall with it :)
Actually, you are perfectly right, the wall is really bright... especially at the bottom. But I wanted it like this... I did lower the brightness of the wall by 10% of the original one-- if I do more, it would become too dark for my personnal tastes and also for the scene IMHO.
Besides I was in a bright mood when I did it ;) So this excuses everything I could have done on it ;) hehehe
Well, thanks again for you comment!
See you around

Quote: The words are not fitting in with the perspective of the building, if that is what you were going for. Also, throwing in Tiananmen Square into the picture seems extremely odd to me. I mean, Greek architecture is probably the polar opposite to the more flamboyant imperial Chinese architecture of the Forbidden City. If you were trying at a political message, I definetly don't think this is appropriately done. However, I do commend the art work and you skill. It just seems a little marred by the words you chose.

It was not my intention to fit the text with the stairs nor the temple's perspectives. And like you probably did not read my submission comment you did not know the words I used were from Leonard Cohen's song called Democracy. I felt it was more than appropriate to have lyrics about democracy in an ancient greek-themed wallpaper. I was absolutely not reffering to the actual tiananmen square's architecture.
