Welcome to the Wings Lovers group! We're glad you wanted to join us.
Come by and chat with us soon! Thanks again!
So sorry for my late reply! Awww are you okay now (10
weeks...man...am i late or what?) Sorry! I was in India...and still am...but now
I am less busy...because I was busy with weddings and other functions and stuff.
Anyhow, how are you?! I haven't talked in ages! Sorry!
I'm doing ok. I've juet been wondering where you've been. I'm glad that you're
ok.
Did you enjoy your "unexpected" vacation? Oh, I have a banner... of
sorts... I like it, but *lol* I don't know what you'd think. I love the
pic of Lilith in it, but to some... it could be thought of as risque...
...you be the judge...
whoa....nice. i give it a 10. really cool-looking banner.
good to see you're doing okay. and yeah, i enjoyed my vacation.. i finally got a
few days off to relax, and my bro and sis came again to see me(sorta hard to get
together cuz we all live in different states.) but it's pretty cool to get some
time off.
Quote by yothsothgothI am now. Very
good site btw. ^^
Glad you like it. =D
Quote by yothsothgothWow, check it
out... when I voted, Atheists were at 71%.
woah...
I don't really know what's going on there or why they have the poll up in the
first place, but I do know it will be funny when they look at the poll and
wonder how that happened. =P
Quote by yothsothgothI miss you!
Come back! Hope you're doing okay. Don't work too hard either!
*hugs* Luv ya!
*hugs* hey, long time, no see. i was on vacation(unexpected), and i didn't have
a computer or anything to give anyone a heads-up that i was gone. anyway, i'm
doing fine, and i'm back on MT, finally. so, how are you doing?
Quote by yothsothgothHey girl. ^^
Just stopping by to see how you were. I hope things are going well for you. I'm
sure you've been busy, try not to work too hard doing whatever you're doing.
Have a wonderful day! *hugs*
Bye!
*snif snif*
I'm feeling really down right now....almost in am emo mood.........
I've done something really really bad.....
and i don't know if i can fix it.......
i'm a really really bad person......

I am so sleepy that I will be very short this time (though I will write more
tommorow):
One question to that girl reading a book.
"Will you marry me?"
;)
Have you been reading Pharyngula or something? You've posted two articles that I
originally read about there. o.o
Though it could just be a coincidence.
Quote by yothsothgothI think I had
always meant for that question to have been Gravity. I have always wondered why
we have gravity. I even expected someone to bring up String Theory. I mean,
isn't that what was supposed to have been behind the big bang...>>>
relating to the attraction of electrons and protons? That question has always
bugged me. Humans didn't have anything to do with Gravity. Gravity was there
before everything... I guess also thermodynamics too... but only the reactions,
not the explainations... right?
LOL! Gravity eh? What a doozey (doozy?)! Hmm, we've yet to
understand what gravity is and such. Einstein tries to explain it and I'm told
that that's as close as we've come. It isn't known what was before the Big Bang
IF the Big Bang actually occurred and I'm unsure if gravity would have been
around at that time. It's a mystery and we can only theorize.
Quote: Thank you so much for giving
me such a detailed and thourough explaination of your opinions and ideas for
these questions. I greatly appreciate all the imput. Your quote, whose is it? Someone
else's, your own, or a mixture of the two? Its rather interesting. ^^ Thank you
again for your thoughful reply and your personal beliefs on those questions!
The first was pretty much Einstein's which came when he
was asked about his belief in God. He answered: "I believe in Spinoza's
God, who reveals Himself in the lawful harmony of the world, not in a God Who
concerns Himself with the fate and the doings of mankind."
The second one is my own. Yeah, it is corny but I live by it! LOL!
And thank you for posing those questions. They were fun to answer.
www.newgrounds.com If you haven't been
here, its a wonderland... if you ignore the ads, its an awesome site. They have
many different comics and just videos.
My recommendations: Xombie Series - This one is
the second movie though (you might have to go to James Farr's site to get
the first movie) and Brackenwood
Series This Series is pretty good... I liked the "Prowlies at the
River" the best so far...
http://www.angryalien.com/ is a good
flash movie site. Not really a comic, just amusing 30-second movie parody site
(with bunnies) for bordom late at night.
I hope you enjoy these... they were the ones that came to mind right now. I'll
let you know if I think of any others later. Have a wonderful night.
Thanks for all the suggestions! I remember hearing about the Xombie series
before somewhere and I've only come across Newgrounds randomly in the past (like
when I saw this: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/280260
). Maybe it's just me, but their site looks different...
I'm going somewhere for a few days, so I might not be able to be on the computer
to check those out until I get back (though I might be able to). I'll make sure
to when I come back if I can't though!
Have a good night too! ^_^
Welcome to the Wings Lover's Group! I'm so very sorry about not getting to you
earlier and welcoming you into our group sooner. I've
been out of town this past week and I've been overwhelmed with work. Gomen! I
hope you will enjoy our group and please feel free to PM me with any questions
or comments about the group or anything at all. Thank you again for joining us!
Have

Quote by yothsothgothHi sis. I thought
I'd stop by and see how you were. I hope you're doing well. I have been thinking
about doing a friendship banner for us, is that ok? If so, how about FMA? ...and
which female characters do you like the best? Just a question. If
you don't want one that's fine too... it was an idea. *hugs* Take care of
yourself and I hope to talk to you soon. Byebye!
hi hi nee-chan ^^ things are ok on this end, no worries ne ^^
i am well, just flu and now something is up with my eye, it's infected so i have
to put this weird cream in it and lie down for half an hour! hahahah very
annoying but no problem, i'm doing well, thanks for asking
awwww nice, well i don't mind at all ofcourse, it's an honor ^//^
as for the girl, the one i like most...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
i think Winry would do, i also liked that girl though too, the one who worked in
the library or something to replace books or so, she got fired by Hugh though
the night he died cuz he worried about her, a brunette with glasses hehehe she
was sweet ^^ :P
and no worries again, ofcourse i would want one, actually there are many things
i need to do, banners for friends and so on, but i will take care of all that
when i go back home...need my other computer and my lappy...now i'm in a net
cafe so yea ^^" gets pretty lonely at night, i'm used to being with friends
and my Tommy all night...kinda feels wrong that i sit to watch a movie to pass
time at night...*sigh*
anyway though, i'm still smiling as much as ever so it means everything is great
^^
thanks again *hugs*
take care nee-chan ^__^
i hope you are doing well and everything
see you soon too ^^

Quote by yothsothgoth1.
"Discoveries in astronomy have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that the
universe did, in fact, have a beginning. There was a single moment of
creation."
Ok, please tell me what was before the big bang... in your
opinion?
Good question! LOL! I don't know but I would think
that it would be another Universe which had gone through a Big Crunch, if you
will.
Quote: 2. "Advances in
molecular biology have revealed vast amounts of information encoded in each and
every living cell, and molecular biologists have discovered thousands upon
thousands of exquisitely designed machines at the molecular level. Information
requires intelligence and design requires a
designer."
Well, I'd like to know specifically what
these would be. I'd think that despite the astounding complexity of some of
these 'machines', several could be explained by logical evolutionary processes.
The rest would be a little more difficult to explain since we weren't actually
there to witness evolution. It's like being at a crime scene AFTER the crime
took place. We don't know exactly what happened but we can form an intelligent
conjecture from the evidence.
Quote: 3. "Biochemists and
mathematicians have calculated the odds against life arising from non-life
naturally via unintelligent processes. The odds are astronomical. In fact,
scientists aren't even sure if life could have evolved naturally via
unintelligent processes. If life did not arise by chance, how did it
arise?" ...Intelligent design?
Well, there are many
variables to consider when theorizing what a young Earth could've been like. To
this day, we aren't sure and we can't travel back in time to investigate the
past just like we can't approach black holes to study them further, hence our
lack of knowledge on the topic. Same thing with evolution, much of it is theory
since large sums of time are a factor. So, in response, I would not be surprised
to find large numbers in odds but even those are sometimes difficult to
calculate when we don't know exactly of the circumstances influencing an
event.
Quote: 4. "The universe is
ordered by natural laws. Where did these laws come from and what purpose do they
serve?"
Hmmm, laws as in laws of thermodynamics and
such? Well, those are created by man and I too have once lost myself in the
sophistication of the scientific laws humanity has formulated to organize
everything in existence. F=ma, the laws of thermodynamics, the law of
conservation of energy, laws governing momentum all have a human origin. These
are all, however, all just our observations of the events and occurences around
us.
Quote: 5. "Philosophers agree
that a transcendent Law Giver is the only plausible explanation for an objective
moral standard. If you believe in right and wrong, why and how did many peoples
from many places come up with a similar moral base? Who gave you your
conscience? How did it develop? Why does it
exist?"
Well, many cultures have developed laws against
murder and theft but only because all were afraid of it happening to them,
especially the rich and powerful who were more able to enact such laws or
morals. But it is all not the same. In parts of the world, promiscuity was seen
as acceptable and in others, deplorable. Sacrificing to the gods was encouraged
in some society's and prosecuted heavily in others. I don't think that this
would've originated from one single, ultimate law-giver but instead from logic
and emotion. Society's would agree not to steal from each other and would punish
those guilty of stealing to preserve these agreements. People would agree not to
kill without reason since these things cause pain for the loved one's of the
victims and for fear of each one of them falling victim to death.
Quote: 6. "People of every
race, creed, color, and culture, both men and women, young and old, wise and
foolish, from the educated to the ignorant, claim to have personally experienced
something of the supernatural. What are we supposed to do with these prodigious
accounts of divine healing, prophetic revelation, answered prayer, and other
miraculous phenomena? Ignorance and imagination may have played a part to be
sure, but is there something more?"
The brain is still
not very well understood. Dreams are an unexplained phenomena which are not
considered supernatural occurences despite their sometimes prominent and
surrealistic nature. Some Vietnam vets have nightmares that traumatize them
because the dreams remind them of actual horrific events. Some have flashbacks
that occur when they are wide awake. Same for a young child who is taught to
believe in some higher supernatural being at a young and pivotal moment in their
life when their brain is learning speech and thought. Surely such preaching
would have a dramatic impact in what a child is willing to believe later in
life.
I'd like to thank you for asking me these questions. I too have asked myself
these questions and have thought about them for a long time. I have asked myself
such spiritual questions about higher deities and would conclude my
contemplation like this: "I know not of a higher power or order but if
there is one, I would believe it feasible that this higher power would present
itself in the order and beauty of all that is in existence, not in a concern for
the actions of man." Einstein would agree with this quote.
And here's a quote I like to live by: "I am not at all concerned about the
afterlife. What will come will come and there is nothing I can do to stop that
fact. All I know for certain are things that help people and things that hurt
people. I would rather build hospitals than churches, I'd rather give without
motivation than expect a reward later in life. Many people tell me what is good
and what is bad, what will save me and what will burn me. All I know for certain
is that which helps and that which hurts. If I am to burn in a lake of fire for
doing what I feel is correct then so be it. I shall burn with the confidence
that I have done good and that whatever force that placed me in a lake of fire
wasn't a force I would've wanted to pray to anyways."

What do you mean by dragged on the right? I'd like to help, but I'm not sure
what you want... and I'm also going to be gone until monday.
Can you let me know and maybe put up with whatever's wrong for another few days
until I get back? I'm sorry that I can't be more help right now sis.

Hehe, no problem. Thread jacking happens like all the time in that forum.

Quote by yothsothgothMy old roomate
from college drank a lot. I told her, if she wanted to drink it was her
choice... just to not bring the liquor back to the dorm. So, she'd come in about
4am... stumble in... with some weird accent and a uh... at the end of every word
and then pass out. The next moring she'd show off her brusies like they were
cool or something. I just told her, "yeah, lots of fun..." and would
ignore her drunk sotries about so and so falling off a chair and it was somehow
soo funny.
She told be she just had "more fun and felt in control" when she was
drunk.
I don't see how falling off chairs and getting huge bruises was 'fun' in any
way.
Btw, Alaska is part of the United States.
Legal drinking age is 21.
WingPilot2 told me Alaska is part of the States already, lol
