you evil person you! *glares* how did you know? did you guess all of my walls?
and it's not fair, you didn't enter so I couldn't even get back at you.
I'm in love with those colours, 'cause I was eating tropical Skittles and I was
like, hey those colours look nice together. and no purple right? (lol, someday I
should make a purple wall, just for you! or would you rather prefer
pink?)
thanks! I'm glad you like it ^^
No, I only managed to guess 5 of your
walls. And all your walls seem similar, so it was pretty easy.
(Since Piccolo confessed she didn't do 6 walls, that made it much easier, lol)
Quote by MapleRosewow pretty! I love
the colours and patterns (did you splat them yourself?). and love what you've
done with the hair. that shadow's a bit creepy though
To make the splats, I splattered ink on paper and then scanned it and turned
parts of it into customized brushes. And thank you!
Quote by MapleRoseooh nice shading.
lol, you inked twice. what's the "subtraction" layer for? (ie why
subtract and not multiply?)
he could use some more highlighting in the eyes though. and I'm not sure, but
his head is rather big for his body.
nice hat
Thank you for the comment!
Eh... I inked twice? xDD Really? *watches event file* *still doesn't get it*
*maybe I'm stupid*
Er... his head probably looks big because I drew his right shoulder too small?
But his head is supposed to be a little big to show his shortness. ^^ I guess I
overdid it... haha
More highlights in eyes? eh, I disagree, but I'll keep that in mind
anyway.
and Coemon is very happy to know you like his hat. ^^ People keep saying they're
too girly.
(I guess I should probably draw my other characters too. hehe. It's a little
weird talking about them when I'm the only person they've ever met)
about layers
"Subtraction" still lets the bottom layer show through when you paint
dark colors. I used it so the plaid on his shirt still shows through. However,
choosing colors are a little tricky because what subtraction really does is
invert colors. (that's why I chose a purplish color to paint greenish shadows)
also, the closer the color is to white, the darker it shows up on the
image.
And "add" layers (linear dodge in later versions) let you paint white
over other layers since it would just be transparent with multiply.
(it's so stupid that oc1.1 doesn't have the "normal" layer, no? but at
least there are ways around it. It's still my favorite version even though I
have 4.5.09 xD)
Quote by Maplerose ack damn it, I
guessed that this was yours on my first guess, but changed my mind 'cause for
some reason I thought you only made one wall >___<
nice colouring, lol, I like the expressions. nice burger, I'm hungry now
*evil laugh* how'd you know this was mine btw? xD

ack i forgot, thanks for the fav btw <3
aaaaaargh! I knew it! I knew you were the six waller. Then you wrote that
comment and I was stumped.
So many walls looked like yours but you'd fooled me with that comment, and
nothing seemed to fit with the hints anymore...
Congrats on a great round, you really did get me back, and then some. ^_^
Now there's only one thing left to do. *Passes
MapleRose the 'most evil' crown*
Quote by MapleRoseoh look it's Shinn.
nice work on the background, I like the colours. and I think you did well with
the raindrops, the ones coming down.. Though not too sure about the water trail
on his clothes though, they look too... random and squiggly (maybe
have an actual drop thingy hanging off the end of the trail?). and the text
looks a bit random too..
Fixed the font and got rid of the squiggly lines on his arms (kept the ones on
his face and hair though).
Thanks for the comment and help!
Quote by MapleRoseah I see you've added
some text. Actually I kinda like it better without text, 'cause it looks too..
extra and unnecessary
Yeah, I just thought it looked a bit empty in that area, but your right, the
feel of the wall isn't the same with the text ^^" Thanks for pointing that
out
So, the nominations with 4 and more votes will be added to the gallery. Don't
chu want to highlight any of the featured vectors, like giving reasons? Or you
just want to be totally democratic, like at Simple-ism?
Quote by MapleRosenice work, I like the
atmosphere ^__^
a few things to point out though: first of all, the outline stands out too much,
because it's black and sharp while everything else is either brightly-coloured
or pastle-coloured, and soft. I suggest using dark brown for the outline, and
perhaps blurr it a bit?
like chloe-chan said, the hair looks a bit too smudged and blurry compared to
the rest of the wall, possibly due to lack of outlines. Same with her
eyes.
the blanket thing over her shoulder, the two bits that are draping over her
shoulder looks over-smudged, so that it loses its texture and edge, and looks
kind of odd.
the shadows from the flower branches in front of her should be more
diffused/blurred, as shadows are rarely that sharp.
the bushes on the bottom left corner, although is a good idea, looks too sharp,
esp compared to the painted-ness of the rest of the wall. Also, things tend to
get blurry as they get farther away if your focal point is in the foreground. So
those leaves should be blurrier/less in focus than the girl and those branches
to create depth.
That's all I can see. just some minor details to point out. overall, it's really
nice and I see you've put a lot of effort into it
^^
hiya Maple-chan
thanks alot for the sweet comment
& thanks for pointing out my mistakes I
really appreciate that
talk to you soon & hope you have a sweet day

Quote by MapleRoseHi Lord DREAM, just
dropping by to say congrats on being featured on MTM ^__^ and thanks for those
scans ^^ (and I'd love to see more or your walls, your vectoring style is really
neat ^^)
ah thank you for the kind words Lady MapleRose, i really appreciate that. ^^ i
was surprised about the honorable mention in MT M#2. i hope to finish a few more
walls myself. i have 5 separate works in various degrees of completion.
Quote by MapleRosehaha cute design, I
love the fairytale-like setting, and nice colours. Nice border, though there's a
black area on the top left corner of the border that looks like it shouldn't be
there.
can't wait to see your tea entry
lol cute, I didnt wanted to admit it but I guess that's the correct word for it
and if you liked the, how you called it, fairytale setting , then you like the
whole thing, so I'm glad, the border thing, hum it's not that it shouldnt be
there is just that it didnt look bad for me and at the end thought it was giving
a detail, some sort of weird rustic detail, kind of think it goes with the
taste.
and well, you put the scan I'm walling as the tea one in the request section so
I'm thinking you'll probably like it.
aaah sorry for the late thank-you =.= I've been too attached to PS lately. The
Bread wall was... er... the day I went crazy, to use that much pink.... glad you
liked it though.
Quote by MapleRosenice vector, you've
improved so much since your first one ^^
yeah it does look exactly like the scan... I'm not sure if that's a good thing
or not, but I do kinda wish you'd put your own touch on
it...
Glad you like it! Though maybe you're right! I'm not sure what kind of touch
could I put to a vector? Different colours on it or a ceratin backgrond that's
the same for each vector to be distinctive.
It's not bad that you said that, but it does make me think. I mean to me I guess
when it comes to vectors I just vector them away and make colours brighter.
Though I can't think of what would it be that would give it my touch?
It's just like drawing, where everyone has their own style and colours so you
know who's who. >:D Thanks for the advice though.
Oh yeah, can I ask you this question? Can elite members change catergory for a
certain wallpaper, vector, or doujinghi just like moderators?

hmm, maybe try using textures and patterns? Or instead of using brushes, use
multiple layers of vectored shading (like this vector)? Just a
thought ^^
Yeah elite members can move gallery items, do you need something to be
moved?
Oh yeah, I remember seeing that from carbon. It was very unique as you said and
it was his own touch.
Thanks so much for the example, now I have a better idea of what you menton.
Yes, I do need something moved. This wallpaper
was in the catergory of Kannazuki no Miko
instead of Kyoushiro to
Towa no Sora. I know the character couples look the same, but they're not in
the same series. Here's the scan I used from the
wallpaper to show proof it's in the Kyoushiro to Towa no Sora catergory.

Umm for the banners yes, you can give me 3 entries for the
banners, I believe on one skin per person is allowed thou
well, how about the monthly feature? Like for the item with highest votes in the month?
I did, but I'm not sure about my score yet. Either below or above 50%. How about you? And your wallzz....
