Thank you for the reply, and if you must know, I do not envy them, rather I feel
that history has given us so much great and glorious people that it is hard to
not feel their presence is every aspect of life. True, one may feel envy for
them for their great sucesses. but while we learn from their wisdom, does one
not feel somehow curious, estranged as to how these minds found the way to
realizing truths that had never been revealed to them before?
What was it that made these people "great"? What was the heart of
their greatness? Was it chance, divine intervention or simply the genius born
within them? That is what I am trying to figure out for as long as I am alive.
The sheer mystery of the world confounds me. And so long as knowledge allows me
to persist, I shall always be in awe of the greatness around me.

it's been a long while i haven't participate in any religious debates as i've
gave up already. notably like this atheist tread VS kingray, it's a proof to me
"no matter how good is your point, they'll never understand". and this
happened countless time. i choose to leave it alone, and too lazy to reply

but, i do suspect he's either a Catholic or Jehovah's Witness, because both of
these movements are much more enthusiastic than any others
to me, religion is nothing to be brag of. i don't see any greatness in it. after
studying various religions, i find it's humans themselves who are 'ridiculing'
God. the conflicts happening throughout the centuries are all stemmed from
humans' egoistic and chauvinism..... '
in my opinion, i guess it's better not to criticize any religion, no matter how
atheist i am. it's sad as i saw some in those atheist treads criticizing
religions in an irrational way (no offense here).
i feel every religion is good in nature. like anything else, we need to be
moderate, not extreme. so the same as believing in any religion. the end result
of extreme is similar to radical terrorists too, unfortunately
btw, i'm a free thinker, as i need to keep my religion for family unity (it's more
of a tradition anyway~
