Raito didn't win in the end... *sniff* I kinda knew that would happen because I

As too rurouni Kenshin, you really don't find out about it in the anime series, only in the manga, after the shishio battles and such.
If you want to see his past in animation, it was animated, but not as part as the series but in movies.
