Quote by MDGeistdenoise software or other filters (like surface blur from phothoshop) can improve image quality significantly !
you dont have to resize your image down all the time...

Ah, thank you! That's what I've been doing. Resiizing all the time and it does become a hassle after awhile. ^^;

Quote by MDGeistGood vector, but theres one major thing which is bugging me...
Why 1,400x1,976 ?
I mean the main scan was 3400x4800 ...
Shouldnt it be the other way round ?
I always though anime vectors were mainly used to either clean a scan/screenshot up (+rebuild some parts if necessary and skilled enough), or to scale a poor scan/screenshot up to high resolution so that you could print or even plot it...
Well I guess minitokyos filesize restriction will prevent hr vectors of 10k+ but for some reason I wished this pic had at least the same res as the scan itself :|

Thank you for your comment.

Let me explain. My vectors are artwork-based. It's a hobby of mine. And to explain the size, vectoring it at that size would be too difficult unless I did in Adobe Illustrator, which I didn't. And viewing it that size would make the scan longer to load, espacially on older computers. So that is why I shrink my vectors.

Quote by MDGeistlooks nice, any info on the artbook ? how many pages? expensive? will you do more? :D
edit :
its a pity though, thats only in that "small" resolution since you scanned it in 600dpi...

maybe you should try cleaning it in photoshop or using other tools like noiseninja...

I bought the artbook from Nippon Exports. It's an online store. Or it might have been Animenation. It has 96 pages, most are full page and two page spreads. It cost me about $60 CDN to get it. It's entirely in Japanese. I've done a few already http://wraith.minitokyo.net/gallery/ you can look through my gallery to find them.

My scanner likes to leave a little bit of "noise", especially on the darker colors, despite the descreening filter. So I reduced the size to minimize that effect. I don't have photoshop and I've never heard of noiseninja. I may have to look into that. What I do have is GIMP. But it's filters tend to blur the image and reduce the sharpness too much. And try as I might, I can't get GIMP to make scans look like they were not scanned.

Thanks for the comment and the fav :) I really appreciate it :)

Btw ... welcome to MT! First to post! and looks like your first fav too! :) :)
