Still with the highly detailed pencil artworks I see...
I adore your ageha art very, very much to the extent of being totally confused how did you draw all that details with just 0.5 pencil?!?

Oh well, just dropping by to say, hi Gai-sensei :D and how do you do..

r q g

hello havnet talked in awhile have to go at school

r q g

This is my first time go there, and your images are very nice.
So I want to see you the next~_~

I clicked on the close-ups for your work Ageha-the fragile,
And lo! Behold!
Such delicate precision!

Should I bow, curtsy, or faint?

r q g

Hey there Gaijin,
Your work really insipires me. The detail and realness of your art is impecable in my eyes. Plus i love working ith Graphite myself! Im a huge fan!

r q g

Quote by GaiJiNWow love the composition, almost enough to make me put a bishie on my desktop lol. Anyway that red is sexy :)

Thanks :D And dude you totally should. I mean we girls put purty/sexy/whatever girls on our desktops all the time - there's shouldn't be shame in having a bishie on your desktop esp when he's cool like Subaru XD

Dude, your good but...
No matter what emotion you seep into your art...
Theres to much stress for it to look complete..
Im just a beginer at anime but not on other things.
Dude, your trying subconsiously to hard and it shows in your strokes..
To much stress, makes your art look sad even if the person you drew is smiling...

(good luck).....

Quote by GaiJiNThere is a little something that bugs me about it, perhaps the arrangement of patterns looks too random, but I still like the whole concept, especially the cropping and colours :)

Thanks for the comment on "Jumbled Amity"! Yeah, I find the patterns kinda random, too, once I look into it more. Especially on the guy's side. XD
Glad you still like it though. Thanks again! :)

Quote by GaiJiNEh reminds me I need to get a haircut, especially since it's getting so freaking hot around here. Ah summer <3
Anyway about the smiling , some people are just not really good at it, and I'm one of those.

Lol, yeah, that's why I </3 summer! it's too damn hot! I cut my hair too... It's way shorter than yours in the user picture. But I feel good because I don't sweat as much...

And, I'm good at smiling, I think you may be too, you always have a better impact on people if you smile.

Quote by GaiJiNWell I am glad you like it, but I certainly hope you'll try drawing. It's too fun to dont do it anyway >xD . Anyway thank you!

Haha, I'll still try drawing, but I have to confess... I felt humilhated by your awesome drawings >_>

Hey studio, nice to see you're still around :) . Hope my drawing didnt kill your computer lol.
Anyway thanks for the nice comment.
Consistent shading? I dont really know, shading always seems kind of natural to me, I just dont think too much about it. I usually overdo it since I have lots of fun drawing stuff like folds, I dont try to make it realistic just needs to have a nice flow (like music, or water >xD). This time I took a bit extra time to try out cast shadows and experiment with texture. But nothing special, still smudging around with my fingers (because it's fun and I'm used to it) and trying to draw fast, because it's easier to shade when the leads get "hot" (especially since I ran out of B leads and had to finsh with H lol).
I am definitely not going to disappear for 3 years again, so I hope to see you around!

....

I think it did. :) You owe me $ for fixing the darn thing. XD grrr

The shading looks smooth and consistent to me :< I don't get it. Why do mine come out scratchy lookin` on the scan? I don't usually do the finger smudging thing but it looks like it really works for you. ;_; i can`t get the hang of it. Pat pat in having to finish with H. H can be a big pain, especially when you have one of those cheap asian imports - which cannot be shaded over even when your doing some real pencil pushin` :"<

Au revoir, salut ...whatever. My friend is trying to teach me some french so I can go to Genva & not be too much of an outcast but I'm pretty hopeless :) I can't string a sentence together, `cept that line from Moulin Rouge. Anyway <33 Big HUGGKISS. & keep working on your next original Gaiii ;)

Quote by GaiJiNThank you for the invitation. That group looks very well done and fun, but at the moment I'm not sure I have the time to be active enough in any group. Hope you dont mind, if I have the time I will definitely ask to join!

Sure, No problem =D ~

r q g

Thank you! And dont be afraid to critic, it always helps!
About the height, as you have noticed I cheated on the proportions. Actually if you look closely, I cheated on a lot of things, like the way some things flow and others dont, some things cast shadows and some dont etc... That's because I always set my priorities like this :
1) aesthetics 2) meaning 3)realism . So since I really like long legs, I drew it this way. I definitely overdid it but I tried to counterbalance it by tweaking the perspective, by using several fake vanishing points.
Anyway I'm glad you noticed it, which confirms that i didn't really get the right balance between realism/style yet. I think that's the most difficult part when drawing in semi realist/anime style, and I still have a long way to go :)
Thanks again!

i didn't notice about the shadows now that you mention about it (did you use photoshop? you mentioned PS? cool XD i don't know how to use PS) ^_^' its that i was amazed by your work (that i only notice her height), i like your style (semi realist/anime style) only few can do it... and your patience its really a good quality (if it were me i didn't continue doing it ^_^') keep it up;) i also did see your other works it's all good but i especially really like your latest doujin artwork (ageha) ;) hope to see more of your works :thumbs up:

Quote by GaiJiNHi ! First thanks a lot for the comment and fav :) I really appreciate it, I can use every critic I get.

Quote by Zefieonly thing which little bit bothered me is the the floor where the girl is standing since it looks maybe little too slanting when you compare it to the positioning of the stairs ~ but then again when there is growing plants under the floor it gives the feeling that the ground has rised up, so it looks just fine :)

Thank you for pointing that out, there always was something that bothered me about the floor but I didn't know why >xD

And I'm going to stalk your new works too ^^

hello ! you are welcome for the comment and fav ~ i'm happy to hear you liked my commenting and if it was somehow useful :) and thank you for adding me to your watchlist back, really appreciate it !

have a nice sunny day ~
