Just practically not to copy 100% of the scan. For example, if the scan has thick lines and you want to have thin one, just vector it with thin lines(of course use the fill path). And if the outlines are black, I normally change it to darker colour of each part. Because, mostly, black tends to give jagged lines.

Textures? I usually pick high-resolution one(or more than one) and change the colours(or gradient)/filter a bit(if it's too rough) and apply blending modes(mostly soft light, but I'm using PSP which has fewer modes than PS). And also play with opacity.

Yah I'm viewing it in a different perspective now. Now that my eyes are accustomed to it [it's on my desktop so I see it every day/time] I find it really nice.

lol! Kira's girly expression. I'll try then or ask my sister about that. The Kira's eyes were such a pain.

I kind of recognized the fact that Lacus' extension were weird, but you may decide if you want to cut out the parts or not when you wall it. I'm not sure though if you mean the extension of all the outlines, but I'll ask my sister again about that.

It's so werid I only noticed it later that there was a weird colour above Kira's hair when I was in school checking up the vector.

Actaully I didn't like the butterfly since it's a defult picture in the CS2.

Well definately I'm not going to use this background for quite a long time.

I was actually inspired of your Amy Lee vexel, kyah that is so perfect~ But I discovered your vexeling skin tutorial only after I finished all of it so I didn't use it... but I bet I'll use it in some later works. I know there are a lot of mistakes on the skin hehe There lots and lots of other mistakes but I hope people won't notice them . Only I know where they are mwahahhhhaa! >=3 Ahh and I know about the eye but you see, I couldn't distinguish the colors and I was too lazy to try re-drawing it.

I wouldn't say they're so much wobbly lines (although they are in mine), but if you look carefully at the big original scan, it has gaps in some of the black lines.
