being because I'm a rather unreliable person. Pershaps you haven't heard of me
before, but I'm a Christian who also happens to participate in discussions on
MT-Atheists. (well alot more so in the past, but I got tired of it)
However forgive me for giving you my opinion on this: I'll say that all
explanations about the universe have an end. For the Christian it ends with God.
God was there at the beginning, and there was nothing before. For the
Materialist it ends with matter, matter and energy was there at the beginning,
and nothing was there before.
What was there before God? I cannot give you an answer to that, but then ask
youself this: If the universe has an age, (however long scientists estimate it
to be: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_the_universe
) what was there before the universe? I think that the answers to all our
questions may not be ultimately knowable, and there are some things were just
have to accept as fact.

theism they come to an end in God. Of course the same goes for any other view;
on any view explanations come to an end. The materialist or physicalist, for
example, doesn't have an explanation for the existence of elementary particles:
