Quote by flukeFor a first vector you did a
incredible job. What program are you using might I
ask?
I'm really glad you appreciate my effort regarding my first vector.
And to answer your question, I used photoshop cs3 (I edited the post also for
your question, but it's easier for you to see it here ).
In the beginning I tried illustrator cs3, but then I started again in phtoshop
cuz I'm much more used with it.
Quote: Wow, I'm greatly impressed
with this vector. At first I looked at it and I thought ahhh well the lines dont
look so good, but then 2 seconds later I realized...thats the way it's supposed
to be. You did an INCREDIBLE job of translating the original artwork into a
vector. The lines look exactly as the original did. Fantastic job on
this.
lol! yea i just added in the link to the original scan i used.
thanks
Quote by flukeI just realized you told me
earlier that your MSN doesn't recieve offline messages, so one of these days you
are going to get a message that says "Happy Birthday!" out of the
blue! xD Well anyways, hope you enjoy your birthday, have some cake and ice
cream, get some presents and hang out with your friends. If it's chocolate cake,
save me a piece. xD Seeya later Shorty.
Actually it was chocolate xD!
Good, I'm not crazy for chocolate anyways~
Thanks!
Real party is on Friday, cos we all got school tomorrow.
Quote by flukeAs soon as I saw this I put
it on my desktop. Spirited Away is one of my favorite anime films alongside
Howl's Moving Castle. You did such a great job and capturing that scene the
vector is flawless and the painting in the background is equally well done. I
have to say in comparison to your other Spirited Away wallpaper, you can clearly
see the great improvements you've made. Well done, +fav.
oh thank you, im glad someone could use it as a desktop but me
glad u liked vectoring/painting
lol are you talking about that vector of chihiro/haku that i made a few days
after i learnt to vector?!
glad u remember it and
thanks
hi umm. okay my old picture, before my computer crash is gone and i dont have
the origional, and i just need to find where it went ummm i just want to save it
to my disk and i dont care that its delete i just want a copy of it. is that
pssible.

it was submitted 24 weeks ago do u know where it went
Quote by flukeI'm going to assume for the
outlines to be so thin, she's using very high magnification so it's easier to
make them that thin? Nice vector like usual.
Thanks fluke-san
Yeah that's pretty much it, I zoom in a lot to put the anchor points closer so
the line comes out thinner. Thanks for the comment!
I thought with nail polish her hands would stand out a little more and not look
so blended in with her body. I suppose I could always change them to a clearer
polish like with a white transparency or something. I also enjoy the lines this
way too, it's so much easier to color with thick lines and it just looks nicer
too I think.
lol, you talk so seriously, haha.
I must say the NSFW version with the highlights adds to it also. Btw don't get
discourage your vector doesn't get much attention compared to others, it's a
very good one.
Quote by Arya3087this is not a scan,
it's a vector made by . It's
written in the low-left corner of the image.
Thank you for pointing that out to the nice man who uploaded my vector
hahaha.
Edit: Just thought I'd look around while I was here writing you, I have heard of
Romania before xD just can't say I know anything about it hehe. I agree that
Final Fantasy X is probably the best FF game, FFX2 was pretty good never did
finish it tho.
Alrighty, I'm outta here.
Oh, btw, you look pretty hot in your picture there xD
u're welcome.
when I saw it I immediately remembered that I saw the same vector here on MT.
I think he wanted credits...he already had a warning and he kept submitting the
wrong stuff here...
lol! well, there are really few people who heard about Romania.. especially
outside Europe...haha!
I finished FFX2 several times actually, but I still like FFX more . better
story and better characters (and nice overdrives )
Quote by flukeGlad someone agree's with me
xD I don't think anyone else read any of the comments but just dropped one of
their own.
Well it's a damn good idea. The more I think about it the better it becomes. The
only problem I can foresee is getting enough people involved with the project.
With my work schedule as it is I couldn't commit to any projects even if I had
the skills to do it. The idea of doing an online magazine with interviews,
reviews, how too's, and general anime based articles would be a great addition
to MT.
Posting it as a forum thread just makes it a forum thread and that makes it less
than what it could be. If I could do it I would because it just makes perfect
sense to do it in a pdf format. That way the members that want to see it can
download it, read it and comment on it in the forums. Hell I should try and
learn how to put one of those together when I have some spare time. And that's
my problem, finding the time.
Another thought just occurred to me. They could have advertisements which would
help pay for server costs and upgrades. Of course, it's just an idea and would
have to be kept to a minimum. Anyway fluke, it was a good idea and if they don't
do it, it's still a good idea. Perhaps some one will make a rough pdf file to
show what it could be but isn't ...
Quote by flukeHow is my girlfriend? xD I
love your new avatar and sig, I need to check that anime out. Right now it's
about 8am and I'm gonna watch the season finale of Lost on the laptop before I
go to bed. Gonna have a bite to eat also, been working since 6pm yesterday,
these hours are crazy, you never know what day it is or what time haha
Well hope your doin well, been a couple days (I think) since I talked to ya xD
...and what are you talking about, gradients are FUN to do xD haha Can't wait to

YOUBASTARDWTFIHATEYOU!

You always love my new avy and sig, what else is new bitch? haha..
Oh damn! you know I read what you wrote and I thought you said you lost your
laptop! D: And I was thinking HOLY SHIT, he lost his sister's laptop! But no xD
I was reading too fast hahaha.
It's very warm here, like 35 degrees today and tomorrow it's supposed to be
warmer, wish I had shorts to wear ... gotta go buy some one of these days, yeah
... Today I registered for the gym thing, like I said before, so June 1st I can
attend the gym, do all sorts of stuff, yayay!
I almost got burned today, walking on the Boardwalk with my friend at lunch, but
she got burned, AHAHA. Okay, shouldn't laugh cos prolly tomorrow I'll get
sunburned now. >>
Anyway, I should be sleeping by now, but I ate a bit late today, so I'm kinda
hyper, lol.
Hope you're still alive and well till next time xD love ya too *muah!*

I'm just glad it's nice and cool right now, damn humidity driving me crazy. D:
Yeah, but don't spend all of it, you need to save too *lectures* hahaha, cya

Quote by TinbadHi
Fluke, its been a while. I was wondering a few things about vectoring. what
method do you use to do the line art?
Someone just asked me the same thing on my blog, that wouldn't have been you
would it? xD Even so, I'll just copy over what I responded to him.
I use a combination of 4 brushes when I illustrate, you might be able to see
what brushes I'm using in the .ai file you downloaded...I thought it should show
up, but I could be wrong. I use a default brush, just that round one for like
some connecting parts where a sharp point isn't needed. I use a Artistic Ink
brush, the very bottom one that comes with Illustrator already (it's thick in
the middle and has points on both ends) and then finally the Jimro brush set
that you can download here - http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/26865887/.
A lot of what I do is messing around with line thickness to see what looks
right, I also play around with those brushes changing between them until it
looks right to me. For really long lines I usually use the Artistic Ink brush
that way it doesn't look too thin of a line. Then for the shorter more fine
lines I use the Jimro brush set.
So do you use paths to trace the line art?
merged: 05-23-2007 ~ 03:41am
How long does it usually take you to do a vector? I keep hearing about these
people throwing something together in an hour.
Quote by entity1660I like the eyes.
Although the vector seems a little dark to me...Other than that, it's so
detailed. And I can't do Haruhi's eyes for some
reason...<(
Yeah it is dark, the original scan was that way I just eye dropped all the
colors I didn't want to mess them up by using a different picture for the
colors. Ya know I love doing her eyes my favorite part it always is haha usually
the first place I go, cause if I don't see her eyes than nothing works for me
haha crazy. Thanks for the fav! xD
I can fix the color! If the scan seems too dark, just adjust it using the
Image>Adjustment>Levels in PS. Please note that it doesn't always work. So
you can just make it lighter using just 'Levels'. Hope this helps. =3
Thanks for inviting me to join the group you mentioned. i most def. will.
I just finshed taking an exam and test.
I haven't seen any of the anime yet but i look foward to it. i'm going to do
that now.
