-the biggest problem I see in this wall right now (other than the lack of shadows and highlights) is how theres modern stuff mixed in with old time stuff. The pillows are out of place..the cute vector designs on the wall in the back are too modern, and they clash with the oriental style of her kimono. Vase looks okay, but again, it looks a bit too big. You should try comparing stuff with her head to see whether its too big or not. it usually works for me.
-If your main source of light is the lamp, it needs to be dimmer, and things around her need to have darker shadows. Light sources from lamps like those dont extend very far.

otherwise, nice vectoring, and I love the whole concept. It mustve been a pain to vector..I can just imagine! Great job!

I dont think the bg is a gradient..it looks like blocks of different colors that gives it a gradient look. Gradients usually give a lower quality look

Yup, it was done using shapes and I changed the colour of each one slightly to get the gradation ^^;

Actually, I was being mean by putting that in my UP, and I think I really should take it off. And like you've said before, you objected the idea that cg never go along with vectoring. I think you're right and I was wrong for not clarify it in my campaign.
So, I've now clarified it in my UP, Cg never go along with vectoring when you want to call it vector art.

Anyway, about putting this on CL, I think it's okay, but I'm not sure how people will react with that.

huuu~ im so sorry the more I read the vexel thing, the more im getting pissed. you have to understand that ppl have different techniques, so it would be nice if you could please respect that! I dont think combining CG techniques with vectors is a bad idea. Its a new technique that many people have picked up, and it looks great. It can give the vector different perspectives that a "real" vector cant give - like softness, distance, etc.

so perhaps you could kindly ask people to stop calling their vectors with blurring/smudging/etc a vector art, and call it a CG art instead. I understand where youre coming from, but I just have to object to the whole idea of CG art not going with vector art.

Since Mt doesn't have CG arts section, I think people have to put their fake vectors in the vector arts category. I think, to be honest, if they want to have vector, they must not use cg technique, coz it will not consider vector anymore. But people keep saying, "wow! great vector!" instead "wow! nice work with CG-ing!"

For softness/distance/whatever, you can have with vectoring, instead of cg-ing. Because people want shortcut, they use the cg technique to get the soft effect, while it's not the actual technique in vectoring.

Why I use the term "fake" and "real", to let people know which one is true, which one is not. Of course, there's no such term as fake vexels, because vexel is just vexel(vector arts) and nothing more. Hope you'll understand. =)
