what a way to end a review
*throws confetti* congrats on hitting 100! (you actually count the number of
animes you watch?!)
anyway, nice review. I've only seen the first 4 episodes as of now, and it is
pretty good so far ^^ Though I'm a bit surprised to see you give an anime such a
high rating .
Two things to be addressed here. 1. Yea I loved the way I ended that one. I
figured I would either get a laugh out of the reader or make em angry, either
way still fun for me. 2. Yes I do count every series I watch. A few years ago my
friends used my recommendations for what they would watch since I watched so
much more than they did. So I started putting them in order of favorites so now
when they ask "How is Show X" I can say "Its 34 out of 100".
Stupid I know, but I just got used to it.
Quote by MapleRosewow, nice vector ^^ I
also like the soft colours you've used, and the shine in his eyes ^^
yeah I didn't plan on entering w?w until the last minute either... and I got
yours wrong ...
are you entering the next round?
Thank you. ^_^
I didn't guess yours either, I think I guessed it as Candy-chans...
And yeah, I couldn't help but enter this round, I never enjoyed making walls so
much as I have for this. It's kinda fun trying to go in a completely different
style than your used to. [Though I don't know if I've succeeded ]
And also thanks for pointing me towards your Fantastic Children review. It looks
like the kind of show I could really get into. It seems a bit like Ima, soko ni
iru boku - where the art makes you think it might be sub-par and childish, yet
grows on you and allows you to focus on the [really good] story.
Quote by MapleRosenice work! I love the
shading And nice expression on her face ^^ I also like the soft and subtle clouds in
the background ^^
what do you use for smudging?
hey thanks for the nice comment ^^
well for the smudging... well believe me... my finger
then i used my eraser to give the shape ^^
well thanks again ^^

aww.. It's put into quaranteen ... I
think it's because you didn't use a scanner, so the image quality is a bit too
dark. But I think if you crop the edges (ie take out the floor bits and the bit
at the top), and adjust the brightness a bit more, it should be all right,
because the image itself looks pretty clear (it's not too
blurry)...
Sorry for the post, now my pic got deleted :P I couldn't crop the pic coz it
became too small to be post. I've tried doing that but the system didn't accept.
I think I'd better delete my post.
Hey, can you teach me on extracting scans with the pentool and mask technique? I
got confused with those tutorials for PS users. Before this, I only used the
selection tool.
Quote by MapleRosenice vector, You have
a lot of patience and the
fill-method works nicely ^^ However, some lines are still a bit jagged, but it's
not that big of a deal (in fact, you can't really tell unless you look closely).
Also, I'd make the shadows on the curtains a bit darker to distinguish it
more.
anyway nice work!
hi maplerose-san!
hmms.. then is there a method on improving so that the lines wouldn't appear
jagged?
hahhas... thanks for the comment
i will improve more on it
Quote by MapleRoseI'm not sure about
your environment, but I went to the prom without a date, and it was no big deal
for me. I just went with my (girl) friends. Of course I guess my situation was
different from yours, since out of my group of close friends (and at our dinner
table), only two girls had dates, and one girl's date wasn't her boyfriend or
anything, he was just a friend.
I don't think it particularly matters whether you have a date or not, I mean,
yes the prom is kind of a big deal and all, but the bottom line is that you're
there to have fun isn't it? So if going with a guy that you hardly know and
dancing with him is gonna make you uncomfortable and awkward, I'd just not go
with him at all, and have a good time with my friends.
And just because you don't have a date doesn't mean you're not into guys. People
can't assume that (and if they do, it's better to ignore them anyway). It just
means that you haven't found the right guy yet
thank you sooo much for the advice! thank you thank you! Now I feel so much
better about going without a date *hugs*

Quote by MapleRosehmm... I think you
might need to define a horizon line somewhere? even if it's just faint with a
few strokes of line or colour? because with the mountains connecting to the
ground looks kinda weird in terms of perspective...
oh yeah, just curious, did you use any overlaying textures? or is that from the
paper?
Yeah, kinda looks flat at the moment = ="
Thanks for suggesting a horizon
Hehe, the only textures I have been using is from the paper I have been drawing
on
If you want I can scan the texture of the paper for you
Quote by MapleRosenice vector, and I
like what you did with his eyes.
However, the vector just doesn't fit into the style at all. It lacks depth and
realism that the background has, and the lightness doesn't fit with the colour
scheme. I think it'd work better if you found a different scan with work with
the background, or a different background (like a more abstract one, or one
that's mostly vectored instead of painted) to work with the vector...
the palm tree... not that it's bad, I mean, the painted style looks nice and
all, it's just that it doesn't quite work with the style and composition of this
wall. It's kinda competing with Fai for space in the foreground, which makes it
look crowded (esp since Fai takes up so much space). It looks out of place, and
waaaay out of proportion (either that, or it's a very skinny palm
tree...)
I like the water effects in the bg though, esp the light effects. and the clouds
in the sky look nice too.
yea, I totally agree with what you said. When i finished the wall, I realized
that fye has those huge vector lines, and the background is totally painted. T-T
Oh well, Im really lazy and I dont feel like changing the bg on this one. lol I
did take out the palm tree though! Thanks for the great comment!
I dunno, I might still work on it, depending on if I have time... but I just got
Painter, so I'm playing with that ^^;
Yeah I think I've been on that site before, and yup, those vector/vexels are
amazing ... I wish I had more patience *sigh*
...
Painter? O_O Wow, now you can create awesome painting. I wish I
have Painter too.
