Aah, yes, Amy has extraordinary works, indeed I also like those wood lines and
the colors she uses. ^_^ Well the image was puny, I couldn't vector it so that I
could make it at least 90% as the original, I'm sure that those little things in
the balloons are mice but some people said they were elephants. I'm very
glad you like the wall tho. I'm still improving my skills, I know I still have
where to improve

Thank you! About the lines it's not like I get everything like I want directly,
I erase a lot. I usually pay attention to the position of my wrist and do curves
in one stroke, just have to try again until it's right . For the
shading I keep in mind light sources, and dont forget global shading while doing
details. Usually I smudge with my fingers, but also used a lot of cross hatching
on this piece (though it doesnt show much). With this kind of shading the
lineart must have a clean finished look, so it takes a lot of time and practice
^^

it tends to do more damage >_______>;;; and i suck at shading *still a
newbie* oh and is that in pencil or did u fineline it?

Thanks for your feedback. I thought of using different thickness of the lines
but then I skipped that because that can easily look strange. But I will try

You're getting quite used to both cellshading and this kind of painting

I prefer cellshading now because the other way of painting takes so much time
and patience. But I am glad you liked the gloomy atmosphere and the background.

And to answer what you said me about inspiration, of course it shows, like here
the coloring is quite HTK style to me (like on some of your other works). But
still, I think you definitely have your own style, your lineart and work on
expression is really personal. If you ask me your art has more or less this
european/russian touch, and I think I can recognize your art quite easily.
The influence of other artists in your work show what you like, and on original
pieces like this, the mix creates your own style, it's not like the "great
artists" draw without any exterior inspiration themselves anyway

something always makes me do experiments in my artworks, so i cant say i'll
completely achieve my own style some day )) perhaps i'm wrong but that is
feeling i have at present time .)
