Hey there I was intending to make a thread concerning this problem but I think that it'd be wise to ask you about it first. I wonder why are some scans in the gallery highlighted? Its not that the member drew them or has worked hard to make it, and what's more, no reason has been given as to why the scan's highlighted.

Here are a few examples of "highlighted scans" that are in the gallery.
Bishoujo Miko ga Iru by Lantist
Fujitsubo Machine Red by zoku88
Comic Book_003 by ce73

....or is the Highlighted section meant for all scans and artworks?

One thing that I want to say is that I did not take a scan and enlarge it then resubmit it like you said and I also did not know that there was another pre-existing scan. I submitted my scan with the thought that there wasn't another one, if I had a faster and better internet connection I would have checked more thoroughly threw the entire Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya gallery, but I always try to do my best to not to submit a double scan. One other thing that I want you to know is that I recieved that first warning only because I accidently submitted a scan in the wallpaper section instead of the scans section which was my mistake because it was my first time submitting a scan to minitokyo. I hope that you can make me not stay as a restricted member.

Thanks a lot for the great suggestion. Following your advice I will replace all the scans in my gallery with those of better quality (300dpi). I just have a favor to ask: could you check on my new scans in a few days and see if they are ok. That would be much appreciated 'cuz you know, it's always better to have someone else's opinion, especially mod's

Okie dokie, I updatied the scans, however, the size and the resolution in the descriptive column on the right side still says the old information. Maybe it will be updated later. In any case, I just want to let you know it's done. Thanks again for pointing it out and for the advice.

We like to highlight self-made scans that demonstrate a high quality. It's not the same as highlighting a wallpaper, but we do want to reward people in a small way.

The ParaKiss scans were kind retro & pop art. I liked them!

Sorry aboutt he You Shiina scan though. It wasn't any where near your usual high standard

Well, now it's clear for me why it was deleted.
The pic itself is drawn like that (reminds me of the one from Kiba) but that's not the point.

another question about scan. I've submitted it:

and it was deleted because it's monohrome and so on (it's really looks like that, manga Wolf's Rain is drawn in that greedy style and extras are so abstract ) anyway can I upload it now? when monochrome are allow? it's NOT from AP (this one is on AP for long time) it's my personal scan from my manga.
