hmm...you go to control panel --> minitokyo options (its at the
bottom)
then you click the circle next to "member" under "member made
skin". and if you play around with the skin list and select some random
ones, you can get some pretty good skins! obviously, since these are member
made, someone is using it for their userpage. But some of them dont even have
the member's name on it, and there are lots and lots of nice ones. Also, if you
look at your left menu and scroll down a bit, it says "popular
userpages" which is sometimes helpful too! ^-^ if you need anymore help
just let me know!

XD Thanx, but I just knew how to do it before you told me. So,
when your painting going to finish?
hmm...well im working on the mountains right now. as soon as i finish that, i
got the lake to do, and then when i finish that i have to do the lighting to
make my vector fit in eek
so much work! lol

and almost flawless outlines. I hate to say that the line on her nose is abit
thicker than normal. Besides that, your vector is great. The lines is awesome.
-points to entity's comment- Smaller? Hmm, I think you mean bigger? -lol- I
don't mind about the size. it's great anyway.
Thanks for your comment
I am always glad to recieve critic because only with critic i can make it
better. So do not hesitate and criticize me=D

Hi Rose, thanx for having time to comment on Twilight of Hope. And thanx
for the fav as well. I've
updated the wall, like you suggested. I'll gladly accept another comment.
Yup, that's much better, esp on her clothes, now it doesn't look so flat
But I think you could still shade it a bit more, like on her hands. Actually, if
you've got a bright light sources like a sunset coming from behind the subject,
unless there's another source of light in front of your subject, it is very
likely that the subject will be a silhouette. But I think you're fine without
making her a silhouette. Also, I wonder if you could add a bit of texture to her
hair, like defining the strands slightly. I like the texture and details you
have on the wood and water, so I wonder if you can bring that type of detail
onto Lacus as well.
Hi there I have just noticed Trinity Blood in ur Random Seen Animes list
so I was wandering that perhaps u will like to visit the
BrokenWings-TrinityBlood group
look around have some fun it will be great if u will decide to support us by

you've done great here. How did you do the wings? New
method? And actually, you neeed to work out more with the style of your vector.
First, play with curve. I see your outlines kinda crappy with pointy everywhere.
Personally, this is awesome as your third vector. Practise makes perfect, and
you're really progressive!
i glad u liked it ^^
mm...the wings..
i first, in a new layer of course, i selected the entire wing with pen tool
(saving some details), and painted it with the first colour of the wing..then,
with this tool ..(i dunno it's
name in english) with a pressure of 70% i started to make the borders..
the, with the pen tool again, i selected the second colour (one of the darker
colours) and selected it just saving the main details, then i did the same
it's the same method with all the colours u see there (i think there are 7 or 8
colours there ^^)
Quote by gaara-no-shukakuOutlined Tutorial <-- I
just read your tutorial, and it just wow-ed me. I
never thought of creating the outline by filling black on the bottom layer. And
you're actually create new vector layers for every section. Not like me, I turn
my vector into raster on every layer. -lol-
And by the way, are you going to enter the Vectory's
contest?
Ah thank you very much!
hehe, that method is just the one that I discovered in order to be lazy. This
way, I only have to trace any contour once, by treating the colours as negative
space. But yeah, some people vector by doing outlines first, then colour, but
with with method, I do the outlines and colouring at the same time because I'm
lazy
(it does save time and effort you know
As for the vectors themselves, I think it's best to always use vector layers for
vectors and raster layers for rasters only. Why? Because:
1) It's so much easier to change your paths and nodes even after you finish
vectoring, like if you need to correct a crooked line or something
2) It's so much easier to change the colours/patterns after you've completed a
shape (or change your mind on whether you want to use fill path or stroke path).
You don't have to make any selections or use the fill bucket or any adjustment
layers, all you have to do is select another colour while your path is
selected.
3) You can resize your vector to any size you want without worrying about
pixelation. I can start a vector at 600 x 600, and resize it to 1600 x 1600
without any stretching whatsoever. This is why I prefer PSP to Photoshop,
because the vectors paths are actually vectors, not rasterized vectors.
4) The file size is waaaay smaller. Even if you have many many more layers, as
long as the blend modes are 'normal', the file sizes are much smaller if you use
vector layers than raster layers. (Most of my vector pspimage files are uner
2MB, even though they've got at least 20 layers (and many shapes), and are like
1500 x 2000 something)
So yeah, when you vector, it's much better to use vector layers (they're there,
so why not take advantage of them). You just gotta remember to click on the 'new
shape' button whenever you want to use a new colour.
The only disadvantage to this that I can see is since it's a vector layer, you
can't use raster-based tools on it (things like brushes, eraser, or smudge).
When I want to smudge or paint on it, I usually copy by vector layer, and
convert the copied layer to a raster layer and work on it. The reason that I
always leave a copy of the original vector layer is so that if I change my mind
or need to fix something later, it'll be much easier to do so on the vector
layer.
hehe, sorry, I think I ranted a bit there...

oh yeah, and to answer your last question, yes, I am planning on entering the
Vectory contest. In fact, I've already started, but it'll probably take a while
to finish, because I procrastinate, and because I'm still trying to figure out
how to do it (I'm not doing an anime-related vector btw, I'm trying to vector
from a photograph)...
Quote by gaara-no-shukakuWow,
stylish! The fact that using texture is cool ( I haven't try it yet ),and
such limited palletes, you made the wall looks simply great. And of course,
flawless! Great work, Rose.
Thanks! Well Noir is a stylistic kind of series, so I thought this technique
would fit Using textures is fun (and so is using limited palettes ), you
should try it!

and cute! I don't see jaggy lines, except on some parts. The use of gradients
(or brush) really work! And having the patience to filling the outlines, this is
indeed a great vector. One thing I dislike, her lipstick. I don't know if it's
originally in the scan, but it looks weird to me. Oh, and look at Kero-chan,
cute!
Anyway, good job!
Thank you for your comment! I tried to match the vector as close to the scan as
possible, so indeed, the lipstick needed to be added. I knew it looked awkward
but I didn't want to leave it out. Maybe next time I'll go with my conscience.

ego-ish feelings. I love how you use texture with the vector(almost all the
colours there). I think that the siggy kinda annoying, and some jaggy parts on
the vines. And vectoring the vines and flowers - I know it's such a death. Great
use of colours and awesome job overall! It does deserve a
highlight.
Thanks for the comment! Yay Ego can be as big as the vines!
Hahaha take care and have a nice day!
