Quote by MapleRoseooh pretty! I like
your wood, definately gonna try it (thanks
for the 3 tutorials btw )
wow, I like your sky too, and you're so good at doing clouds...
but I do kinda have to agree with DarthTofu, in that Lacus looks a bit different
stylistically compared to the background. For the background, esp the ocean and
sky, there's quite a bit of depth and certain realism there. As for Lacus, while
I do like the painty look, I think she lacks depth, esp in the dramatic
back-lighting, I think there should be more of the darkness and lightness
contrast. Like for example, the folds on her dress could be shaded farther (even
though in the screencap it isn't), and her hair could be defined more to add to
the depth.
anyway, nice work! good luck on the contest!
Hi Rose, thanx for having time to comment on Twilight of Hope. And thanx
for the fav as well. I've
updated the wall, like you suggested. I'll gladly accept another comment.

Yup, that's much better, esp on her clothes, now it doesn't look so flat
But I think you could still shade it a bit more, like on her hands. Actually, if
you've got a bright light sources like a sunset coming from behind the subject,
unless there's another source of light in front of your subject, it is very
likely that the subject will be a silhouette. But I think you're fine without
making her a silhouette. Also, I wonder if you could add a bit of texture to her
hair, like defining the strands slightly. I like the texture and details you
have on the wood and water, so I wonder if you can bring that type of detail
onto Lacus as well.
Okie, I'll try to edit again (I hate updating my wall ) It's
kinda hard to give details on Lacus, like the details on the wood and water. But
I'll try my best.
Hiya Murrue-san!
How are yah? Thanks for the Valentines Day card! ^_^
Here's one for u too!
about my KiraLacus scan....yup, I got it from the CD cover.
And one more thing....I know it's kinda late already but I'm still gonna say
it....CONGRATS for getting to the elite! *yey*
Quote by MapleRoseooh nice vector, I
like the colours and those textures I like the
background, it suits the colouring style of the vector, and it's very funky
aw thanks for your comment and fav on my curvy dreams vector i'm really
glad you liked it!
Quote by MapleRoseooh pretty! I like
her pose, and the hair nice
colouring and use of textures
Though I think I like it better without the eye (like you had it in the sketch),
or at least move it up a couple of millimeters? (it looks a bit low on her face
I think)...
Bleh, yea, I had a few issues with the eye. I was contemplating not having an
eye at all, but other people wanted one so I just added it But thanks
for your critique and comments! Very much appreciated!
hi!thank you so much for your help, maplerose.i will finally be able to submit
my art.thank u for having the time and the nerve to respond my SOS . violeta
Outlined Tutorial <--
I just read your tutorial, and it just wow-ed me. I
never thought of creating the outline by filling black on the bottom layer. And
you're actually create new vector layers for every section. Not like me, I turn
my vector into raster on every layer. -lol-
And by the way, are you going to enter the Vectory's contest?
4) The file size is waaaay smaller. Even if you have many many more layers, as
long as the blend modes are 'normal', the file sizes are much smaller if you use
vector layers than raster layers. (Most of my vector pspimage files are uner
2MB, even though they've got at least 20 layers (and many shapes), and are like
1500 x 2000 something)
I don't actually know that vectors' size is way smaller than rasters'. That's
really amazing, I got to try it. ( no
wonder my psp always stuck )

oh yeah, and to answer your last question, yes, I am planning on entering the
Vectory contest. In fact, I've already started, but it'll probably take a while
to finish, because I procrastinate, and because I'm still trying to figure out
how to do it (I'm not doing an anime-related vector btw, I'm trying to vector
from a photograph)...
That's cool. I wish you good luck , and I'm
planning to join too.
Thanks for the fav and comment! ^^
Your welcome! from tutorial.
And yes, the reflection bit was mainly the same thing as the light rays on a
larger scale. (as was most of it, actually. haha)
Quote by MapleRoseXD awesome! I like
the idea, and a great stress-reliever to have on the desktop
hehe yay chibis! and go Mokona!
Do you think so? I'd think people would be stressed out with so many details and
diferrent colors and such~
Anyway, I'm glad you liked it!~ ^o^
See you later!~
Quote by MapleRoseooh, neat idea! very
Escher-esque I like how that one girl is dropping her book
Nice crosshatching and shading, though methinks it could be a bit smoother, and
those books on the lower right corner is a bit too bright compared to everything
else, maybe give it a slight shading...
Oh i didnt notice the brightness...
Thanks for the hint
Chyea... its a bit too thick...
But cant do much or it might ruin the doujin...

Haha, as it was the topic (and as part of the explaintion I have to present!), I
should mention that it is up to the audience to imagine the feet xD Me and feet
have never really gotten along xD
Haha, I'm really bad at proportioning. I'm even worse at foreshortening .
Hey, I'm glad you like the idea though ^_^
Question for in PSP8... With vectoring, can you edit the widths of each node, so
that the vector lines look more natual, like in photoshop? I really prefer the
vectoring in PSP, and I was wondering if PSP8 has that feature...?
I actually used only PSP7 in my 2 xxxHolic vectors, too. <3
lol, yeah me and feet don't get along either.. that's why I rarely draw
full-bodied people, usually cut off at the waist or knees
and yeah, I avoid foreshortening too by drawing portraits (or maybe I'm just
lazy )
Yeah I prefer PSP vectors to Photoshop vectors too, and unlike Photoshop, PSP
vectors are true vectors (it doesn't rasterize them like Photoshop). I'm not
sure what you mean by the 'width' of each node, but are you talking about
something like
this?
Uhm, not really... I meant, when you make a line using vectors, the width of it
is predetermined by the settings, right. Like, if you set it to 1px width, then
it's like that the length of the line. I meant to say, is there a feature which
changes the width of the line? Making it look more like a natural
stroke?
finally,someone I can ask for directions! Help...I`m lost in Mini-Tokyo! I`m so
so glad for the message and I think your art is great ^_^ I, on the other hand,
need some guidence. How did u managed to put your art on the site? What did u do
after you put it on photobucket/imageshack? I have a wallpaper with Kurama from

thanks for scanning these! ^^
No problem... I've had them
scanned (and rescanned when my computer died) ready to do some sort of
fileshare, but now that we've got monchrome scans this is soooo much easier
Now... get walling! I'm so intrigued to see what people can do with these scans
