Quote by MapleRoseSo pretty! what a
beautiful pose, and so elegant
Ah I want to wall this... as soon as I get an idea
thanks for scanning these! ^^
No problem... I've had them
scanned (and rescanned when my computer died) ready to do some sort of
fileshare, but now that we've got monchrome scans this is soooo much easier
Now... get walling! I'm so intrigued to see what people can do with these scans
Quote by MapleRosewow, awesome vector!
Tomoyo-hime is so pretty! I admire your patience
I see a little bit of colour leakage on some of those flowers (like on the
shading for the one under Tomoyo, and some of the petals floating around), but
other than that, nice work!
good luck on the contest!
Don't worry, those "random" outlines were part of the scan, and such a
follower to the original, I vectored it despite how weird it looked. But thank
you for commenting on it! =3
Quote by annakeemaybe the background is
simple, but i like it anyway. neat for sure. nicely done
^__^
Thanks! and thanks for the fave
Any suggestions for the background? (btw I took out the texture because it was
kinda distracting)...
i liked your update. seems better now ^^
do you want suggestions for the background? i guess the clock of Soldats can be
a good background for this.
have a great week, MapleRose-dono.
Thank you very much for joining Celestial Luminesse We hope that you have a
great time there ^-^ Please let us know if we can do anything to make the group
better for you, as we take our group members' opinions very seriously
Quote by spiritswordWow! You can
really paint! I can't really paint, much less chinese paintings. I really like
the Chinese style you used, its finally gaining recognition. I also like the
stamp, though I can't make out the words. What does it
read?
aww, thank you! I actually took some lessons in Chinese watercolour painting
^^
The stamp is basically my name in Chinese written in a stylized way, and it's
how people sign their works in Chinese watercolour paintings
Your name in Chinese, I see. I'm quite pathetic when it comes to reading
stylised Chinese characters. I do know that it is the way people sign their
works in Chinese paintings and literature, though. ^_^
Quote by MapleRoseHmm, yeah I thought
his hair was lighter too (kinda like Kureno's)... btw his name is Kazuma, or
"Shishou"
Ah you're so lucky, the English is only at vol 15 last time I checked... who's
on volume 19?
Hello, Rose! How do you do?
Thanks for helping with his name!
Yes, I feel very lucky indeed! There's no way of feeling differently!
In volume 19 we have Manabe... here at MT we already have his cover, so I didn't
post mine...
Thanks for the comment! I'm glad you drop by!
Cya!
Quote by MapleRoseAh I love this
collection of shitajiki! (wow you have so many of them )
I remember this as a chapter title page I think. It's so pretty (Fai!
)
thanks for sharing!
I have 20, and I've scanned them all straight away There are
some more of these monochrome type shitajjiki pr both Tsubasa & xxxHolic...
and Marissa has shown me where I can get them from... My credit card wont
forgive me if i buy them though!
Quote by MapleRoseI've never seen the
anime, but I have read the manga up to volume 4 or 5 (can't remember, it's been
a while). Have you noticed how CLAMP has changed their style? esp in the way
they draw eyes, unlike the elaborate, huge, shoujo eyes of CCS and Rayearth, the
eyes are slightly more simplified actually. In terms of character design, I have
to say that Yuuko's design is rather unique, and very identifiable in the anime
world, and Watanuki differs slightly from other typical CLAMP males. As for the
proportions, yes CLAMP seems to have gotten worse at exagerrating the length of
the limbs. At least they seem to have trimmed the shoulders down a little
The story, you're kind of right, that it does get a bit repetitive from what
I've read so far, and how Yuuko likes to go on about destiny and fate and all
that.
I wonder, have you see Tsubasa?
Haven't seen Tsubasa, but it's on my to watch list once the DVD's start pumping
out. Still enough of a CLAMP-a-holic to not completely write them off.
Quote by MapleRoseneat idea, I like the
concept, and great shading on her hair. However,
it doesn't quite match the colouring style of the rest of her (more cellshaded),
and yes like flyin' pointed out, her feet seem to be
missing...
Haha, as it was the topic (and as part of the explaintion I have to present!), I
should mention that it is up to the audience to imagine the feet xD Me and feet
have enver really gotten along xD
Yeah, the hair look kinda... well.. crap " But
it doesn't mean I can't fool my English teacher =D
But thank you for the critique <3
(and for the one on my other one ^_^)

Quote by MapleRoseinteresting idea, it
looks like she's falling after shooting the gun... I like the design of her
clothes too
but I think her proportion and hands look slightly weird, I think her arms are a
bit too long..
yay someone else who uses PSP instead of Photoshop!
Haha, I'm really bad a t proportioning. I'm even worse at foreshortening .
Hey, I'm glad you like the idea though ^_^
Question for in PSP8... With vectoring, can you edit the widths of each node, so
that the vector lines look more natual, like in photoshop? I really prefer the
vectoring in PSP, and I was wondering if PSP8 has that feature...?
I actually used only PSP7 in my 2 xxxHolic vectors, too. <3
Quote by MapleRoseooh, neat idea, and I
love that Onigiri music player
great symbolisms, and nice job painting, though it does look a bit out of place
since everything else is vectored. Speaking of which, nice job on that (I like
the textures), though I think you might want to outline her shirt with grey or
something because everything else is outlined.
anyway, nice work!
Hey! Thank you so much for the comment on "Means of Escape"!
Thank you for the suggestions. I'll try to improve the wallpaper. ^^
just stopping by and saying hello. thanx for the comment on Gankutsuou. i am so
glad that you liked the style by Oki Mamiya. She's a great artist. many
appreciation and <3
p.s. great layout. it really has the wintery feeling to it. ^^
Quote by MapleRoseah so cute! I love
her story Cute expression and I love the kitty ^__^
nice vector, though I think the softer brushed clouds and softened rainbow look
a little weird against the crisper vectors of everything else. and maybe move
the rainbow left a little bit so it doesn't end kinda abruptly in the middle of
the wallpaper?
Yep yep yep... i know that but haven't find the solution at the time... he he
thanks for the idea and I already updated the wall.... if you don't mind check
it once again

Ah I agree...i like her in this outfit better, too.

you're very welcome for all of it! ^_^

have a great week, MapleRose-dono.
They look hot in glasses, don't they.
Thank you for your comment too! The booklet is for some anime men with glasses, I think mostly from the 2005 Autumn season anime.
no problem. thank you for proposing my scans to be hilighted =]
