first of all, Soul Eater is one of the highest-priority anime in my list right
now, and Maka is my favorite character. She also has that unique voice-over
which always makes me go "whazzat?!?" when watching...
This wall is very interesting from many points... first is the color
composition. It features a dark, bloody theme, and second is the character to
the wall itself,.. the spooky background somehow goes well with Maka's clumsy
look..
Though I must point out some things which can be improved:
- you added a darkening gradient at the bottom, so it would look better to add a
thinner darkening gradient layer on top.. or you may put the gradient behind
Maka
- the drop shadow is kinda distracting and makes Maka look detached from the
background.. I think you would better off remove it at all to give the wall a
more 'whole' impression
- oh and as zaira pointed out, the background is kinda random. It's borderline
confusing, while at the same time makes the background a bit messy.. try giving
the silhouettes distinct and striking shapes, such as a cathedral, mountains, or
dead tree branches, or maybe even tombstones...

The colors are GREAT! And the background painting is LOVELY... especially those
green leafy brushing on the right..
Hmm... the font is kind of... generic? Well, it's not distracting or unfitting,
but with this sceneric stuff I expected to see some non-generic font.. maybe
something curly, or less bold.. White color is ok though.. just add some
multiplying dark-green outer glow if you want it to stand out more.
Overall, this is a lovely painting-themed sceneric wallpaper. Not perfect, but
has great colors and high-quality painting scenic look.

The background was rushed, I got pretty lazy, so I'm not confident about it. I

cropping, that is..

The peculiar shapes and the striking/clashing colours really define the nature
of the oh-my-god-shes-so-cute-but-weird Suzumiya Haruhi. It's certainly a daring
approach which turns out nice. For a moment, I think I saw some similarities to
the anime's opening scene well, it's a good thing anyways.
I notice minor uneven outlines on the vector, I think it'd be better to give an
overall outline to Haruhi so that she stands out more in the middle of all those
shapes and colours. It can be a white outline about 3 to 5 pixels wide. But,
that's just me nitpicking :P
Overall, you did a great job. Congrats.
Yesyes, lots of hyperness! Oh, I forgot to mention I originally got inspiration
from the opening, but of course this version is way more crazy ... hahaa ..
Well, I was being a little lazy with the vector in the end, next time I promise
to do a better job, no matter how long it takes *gleam in the eye* ..ah! but

The thorns, the effects, the petals, the lightning sparks, amazing composition,
and just a right dose of mysteriousness from the dark parts. Being a
typo-fanatic, I prefer some nice stylish text to accompany, but well, that's
just me. lol.
The only thing that bothers me would be the clouds/fog on the lower part. I
think it needs more fading out on the leftmost/rightmost side so that it blends
to the darkness in the bg better.
But all in all, even it's just a fun wall as you said, it's quite an applausible
presentation. And in case you're curious, Nao Goto is the illustrator for 'The
Third ~Aoi Hitomi no Shoujo~' novels.
