Quote by ElvesYour wall caught my eye -
it's really well composed. I really like how the characters are standing on the
clouds yet they're not. The swirls give the illusion that they're on ground and
I love that effect!
Yeah, I don't know how to vector either. So it is frustrating when you know that
you could improve your wall, but you just don't have the skills to do it. X(
Though, there is always the "next best thing." Shinta has really good
tutorials at http://www.imanimetions.net and this
specific tutorial - http://www.imanimetions.net/tutorial/tutorial.php?view=clean
- will allow you to improve the character scan without making a vector. It's
how I make things look better anyway. Keep up the good work!
hey there!
thanks for your solution ^^
i\ll try to used that next time ^^
Quote by ElvesA very good vector for your
third one. I'd be keeping count too, so don't sweat it.
There are some jagged/pixelated lines around the smaller curved lines (such as
Faye's hair) but the larger lines are right on. I like how you put different
screen caps together to recreate the episode (which I have yet to see, so I'm
assuming). Great work - keep it up!
Thank you!
I'll still count, but to keep putting numbers in the description it's a bit too
much~
Larger lines are a lot easier to make, ne~ I'll work harder next time. ^_^
Actually, Kurogane did turn into a godzilla monster in the episode, but there
was no Super Mokona there, so I guess it's half creation and half re-creation.
Thanks for the accomplishments, I'm very glad you liked my wallie! ^_^
Quote by ElvesI saw your latest bunny
wallpaper and had to check out the rest of your gallery. Which I'm very glad I
did. My reaction? Typical stereotyped girlish glee: "OMG! They're soooooo
cute!" I'm too old to do that anymore. lol.
Anyway, segnoj, I really like the wallpapers you've made with your original
rabbit character, Zuru, many of them are composed very well. When I have more
time I'll come back and look at them in more detail, and possibly leave a
comment or two. Yet, I still can't help myself. *squee!* See what you've reduced
me to? lol
lol, very happy to know you like my Zuru designs!
It's really a big encouragement for me and I really appreciate it, so thanks a
lot
Quote by ElvesI have yet to see Haruhi, but
I intend to...someday...when I have time. But I
really like this scan, and it doesn't bother me that the artist/s did the
crossover thing, because it actually looks like it fits. Thanks for sharing your
find.
Im touched :] I didn't think anyone would take the time to shuffle through my
walls and actually evaluate my progress. thank you very much. I'll be looking
forward to your comments.
Quote by ElvesJust stopped by to say that I
think your sig. is really cool. I love the symmetry and colors.
Well, that was it. Have a nice day!
Hiya! Just wanted to say thanks for the compliment. Heh, made this a LONG time
ago...couldn't resist after seeing such a cute pic in a manga. Hmmm...don't
remember the name of the manga though. Anywho, thanks again. ^.~ Hope you have a
WONDERFUL day. =^.^=
Quote by ElvesThis is really neat. Kudos
for sticking with a simple background; I think that if you tried to do something
behind him it would really detract, so I really like the plain-ness.
The "cold air" (distortion/fog around the ice) seems to be a bit
heavy. I'd like to see a little less blurring right past the right of his
sash/vest (whatever - white scarf over black kimono - there that description
should work ). Other than this I think everything is lovely.
Great job keeping his eyes the focus even though they're not placed near the
center. (Yes, I know that the blurring is some of the reason people will look to
his eyes first. I like the blurr/fog, I'd just like it to be less dense.)
Thanks a bunch for the comment on "Cold Eyes"! I lowered the fog a
bit, hope it's a bit better =)
Erm...next time would you mind putting a *****SPOILER!***** warning ahead of
stuff that gives away any piece of the plot? I haven't played the game yet, I
didn't need to know that, "One of them will be a bandit in the
future!" And yes, it may be obvious, but I like being oblivious when
playing rpg's, reading a book, watching anime, etc. So please be considerate of
others.
Thanks.
-Elves
Oh, I'm so sorry! I really didn't mean to!
I'll be more careful next time.
BTW: But, at least I didn't say WHO will be the bandit, right?
Quote by ElvesHehe... I actually have a
friend that made herself sick because of finals. For me personally, I'm under
less stress for the sheer fact that I don't have to write papers every week
anymore!
You incorporated the two screenshots together very nicely. But I don't
understand why the red in his sleeve doesn't extend out behind the character in
the blue? You've captured the emotion very well - my friend looked just like
that...except greener. ;D
Oh dear! Well, I hope that I won't make myself sick... I
have 3 finals next week, but am only concerned about one of them which is worth
50% of my final grade! To
tell you the truth, the red is not extended because I got laaaazy. I
also wasn't very pleased with how the red shirt came out, but whatever... Thanks
for stopping by and commenting! I really appreciate it! Have a nice holiday!
Quote by ElvesI know that for a while, I
tried to be something that I wasn't (personality wise). And that, in and of
itself, really burnt me out so I wasn't enjoying life. Therefore, I decided to
just be me, and even though it put me on the outside - I found that people that
I'd known for a while appreciated me for my little quirks and strange outlook on
life, even though they didn't really "get it." They thought
"normally" and I've got a very strange brain, what can I say? Anyway,
if you are you, then other people who are similar to you will start to gravitate
towards you and you towards them because you're able to see how much you have in
common.
Time is also a key factor, so even though life may suck now - the future is
always bright! If not, well screw the world for a while and enjoy yourself.
Indulge in something. For me that would be a video game or a good book. Find a
fictitious world that you like and live there for a couple of hours out of each
day. An escape from reality never hurt anybody.
Thank you so much for your advice! It helps a lot! And yes, in order for me to
escape, I write stories. But I don't do it enough. From now on, I'm gonna
dedicate some time very day just for me to write. It'll help me a lot. Thanks so
much for the advice!
Heh heh...you remind me of my friend, Marisa...everyone thinks of her as
odd...and Salma too. Everyone thinks she's crazy.
Well, I hope to see you around and again, thank you so much!

Hi! I wanted to ask you. How's Iwoa like? I've never been there and I love
hearing about new places. It helps a lot with my stories.
Quote by LordWeScampi: You are correct,
they are twin brothers. This is explained quite clearly in the game. They have
always been unquestionably male so I
have no idea why some like to say they are female.
This is just in response to your latter question in a comments post on an
Utawarerumono scan: The twins don't follow the rules of their own species'
anatomy, and this is why I think people get their gender confused. They have tails~only girls are supposed to
have tails! Isn't it grand, what with the amount of liberties that writers can
have messing with the fan's minds? *sigh* Anyway...see you around MT.
Actually, males can have tails too. This was quite a large debate and it has
been proven men do have tails, if they come from the right tribe. In the anime
there are several scenes that show a man's behind and there is clearly a tail
there (it initially went unnoticed because most were just extras wandering
around), and in an official illustration of the main male characters bathing in
an onsen, tails are also clearly visible.
But yes, they are very androgynous, and people who aren't used to traps such as
Bridget, Jun, Mizuho, etc. often get quite a surprise
Quote by ElvesI think you did a nice job
keeping the color palette the same. The image and the background compliment each
other very nicely. I'm not sure if it's the texture of the character image or
the actual image, but it seems a little too blurred to me. I like the simplicity
of the Ichigo & Rukia text, but the subtitle is a little blah. You might
want to add some curved lines to it or spice it up with a more complimentary
color. I know the yellow goes with the ground, but it looks a little odd hanging
in the sky. I like the overall concept - it's good. You may want to think about
adding some grass around Ichigo and Rukia to place them into the world, but as is it's pretty good. Nice wallie.
Hi. Thanks for your comment. I have re-done the wallpaper, because the blurry
patterns annoyed me too.
Quote by ElvesI see I've posted in your
guest book three times before this and they're not too far apart... . . .why do
I feel like a stalker?
*Ahem*
Nonsense; your posts are months apart and are only visible because people don't
post in my guestbook (which, by the way, I HIGHLY prefer, as I think posting
"thx for the fav" is the most inane thing on the entire planet and
absolutely DETEST it when people start posting useless thank-you images in my
guestbook.)
I'll be posting more Mushishi scans the next time I get to Kino to buy more
manga. I got 1 (and 4 by accident; I thought it was 1 the time I bought it) and
like the manga style enough that I've decided to buy the whole set at once. I
just love the watercolor covers, so look forward to it -- and more Mushishi
walls
Quote by ElvesSo pretty! I like what you've
done here, and it's even more impressive to see you've walled your own art!
Kudos! (Okay, that's enough with the exclamation points!
)
There is one thing I noticed: if the lady's hair (and the dragons) are blurred
by the sun sphere her leg should be as well. Right now it's not affected by the
the heat haze. I also like the texture that you've got throughout the wall, but
the lady & dragons aren't affected by it, but the ground/rock she's standing
on is. I'd like to see it one way or the other - just for consistency.
I really like the concept and placement of the images. Awesome drawing, and I'm
almost saddened that the dragons are so blurred (but alas, for consistency they
must remain so ) Very nice work - thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks for the input. I thought The dragons could look like they are being
born/formed from the clouds...but I guess that didn't come across. As for the
textural differences, I want to maintain the original pen & ink effects
while not contradicting the lens flare and petals. I'll go back and work on this
some more.
Quote by ElvesI just wanted to say Thank you! for submitting all the wonderful

love them and they're so large! There were so many that I thought a guestbook

Thanks for the comment! I just bent back the front cover
a bit, so the spine will be okay. Strategy guide pages do always fall out in
then end anywas. . .mabye I should go ahead and cut them all out and put them in
protector sheets, then put it in a binder. . .I think that I may eventually do
that. When I get the money to buy the protector sheets though. . .lol!
I'm not sure about the texture on the sky - it seems like the cats need
something textured on them if everything is going to have a pattern/texture.
Also, if you could add some grass in front of the cats (like they're laying
in the grass they wouldn't appear to be
floating. I know that's what the shadows are there for, but they all still seem to be
floating to me. tee-hee.
Awesome vector! Great coloring/blending on the cats. Also making all the toys
for them - that must have been a job! I really like the wind-up mice (they're
cute too!) What a wonderful original land you came up in which all the nekos
live.
many thanks for your comment and suggestions
