a question, what's up with the little finger in the right hand/foot? I see that in the sketch they look good/normal, so....why the change?

there are no feet in the sketch. The drawing ends in the hammer and sickle. I had to make adjustments in order to fit in the feet. You have to remember that its abstract though, not supposed to make sense.

I was talking about the hands, you had to make the adjustments for the feet, indeed, but actually if you had done them a little more closer (the feet), the hands perhaps would have been completed. but anyway I supposed you tried either other way and this result was probably the best.

I probably should've mentioned that the feet were a different already completed piece. i just opened up the PSD and combined the vectors, so there was very little I could to adjust them to fit perfectly other than completely rebuild them, smething I had no spirit for.

Quote by alterlierjaja why did you put those shadows there? jaja what's up with them? actually when I saw the thumbnail I didn't notice those things...but then in full view jaja I was like wtf? you dont need those in your wall, they totally damage the whole theme and the great way you managed to express it (isolation) I mean they are kind of a joke there...is not supposed to be funny right? the way you worked with the textures and colors is great, the girl almost in shock is outstanding but jaja the shadows when you see them ....is like they where pasted and I dont really see the meaning behind them, your wallpaper is absolutely great, love the fact that the character is like dying all alone in a room (dying because well...that's my imagination) but I'm serious with the shadows ....they are not working good in here.

Honto?! They look aweful?! T_T
Lol... kinda funny actually... XO
I laughed after I finished but it kinda looks empty so I left it there... ^_^'
U think I should remove it?O_O
I really appreciatte your comment there.. (^^) (_ _)
U were pratically the only one who gave me a useful comment... >_<
Im glad U like the way I expressed it though... >_< XD
Ill go remove it...
or maybe dirty it a lil more? >_<
Thanks though, I really appreciatte your comment... (^^) (_ _)
btw, your wall-Isolation-Human itself was really awesome!
I full view it but I didnt know what to say...
Lol... it was a really good wall, I like how those threads sticked up & the floorboards just add on to the feel...
Very nice...
*huggles* Thanks again for the comment,
I deeply appreciate it... XD

Quote by alterlierstunning, sometimes, most of the times it is rather impossible to actually find a piece, an image, an artwork, a wallpaper whatever you want to call it, that truly express a feeling or a possible theme without read or know the description, even if I do not consider it as spooky, it has a melancholic feeling behind that makes the whole scene, or moment kind of sad.
I like the textures you used and the fact that the background is not completely understanable.
such a strange situation that went around your sodomy wall shows that people is just not ready to know more about themselves, even if you find great works, like this one.

An excellent comment coming from one with knowledge and daring to speak.
Thanks, I do feel it is spooky, but that is the surface of the whole piece, I wanted to do something like unusual, I was reminded of an indie film where a murderer kept his lover in a dungeon and loved her and embraced to the skull and the rotten flesh as his lover could not accept the fact that she is no longer free from his grasp. But again, "till death do us apart" is never my choice for this work, somehow it just does it, by going against it. Oh well, let there be joy, for at least one among us knows that it is a great wall. Although the effort can be considered quite little.

Quote by alterlierthey do look like mannequins, I like the concept you took for the whole piece, and the clean way it looks, as a suggestion, the next time you work with vectors, try to change the outline (stroke) with a different style, (in illustrator) you do this changing after you have the whole stroke the properties of the same (they are right next to the size) you only have to load the different styles and try different ones I think they are called as brushes or something....details like those ones will make look your artworks kind of smooth and elegants.
anyway, nice work.

Heyo!
Thanks for the comment on "Fake Scenery". :)
I don't have illustrator, so if I use photoshop, would you do the same thing? Or in a different way?

Well, take care!

By the way, I like your page. ^^

Quote by alterlierwell that was quite a change, the background now looks awesome, the colors you chose I dont have to say it, are great...jaja but you know the eyes, the fact that they are not there is cool...but what I was saying is that you left them in white like a normal eye is suppose to look with his eyelash and all but white....jaja but still is a nice an original picture...without mention, that the paint/vector job is awesome.

Quote by alterlieryeah you had to said it juajauajaj.....just kidding.....oh you see I'm fast...I'm always thinking in...well now I'm gonna take my time to say thanks to the ones who also took some of their time
to write a couple words, and here I am.
that sentence of a blue tone (tone I guess) is so cool...believe me in a past time would have been almost impossible to hear....since I was kind of obbessed about blue...so is great to hear that you are not tired of it but happy with it, and that's it nachimuzi...thanks a lot.

You're welcome! :D
I took my time to write a couple of words? You say it like it's a torture~ XD
I like to comment, so it's my pleasure. :D :D
Yeah, I meant ''tone''~ XD (damn typo! OX )
Oh, I love blue too! Although that usually, nothing around me it's blue~ :o (not even the sky! It was cloudy today~ ^_^' )
But what's a Nachimuzi? It's a cute name... ^.^
So, I'll see you later! ;)
Bye bye~ :D

gee hi bogen
fiu I was thinking that no one was actually getting the feeling that she has something of tims burton's style ...cuz no one said it
you know something I didn't realized that you are right ...I kind of tend to stick to a color scheme...and you say that you enjoy it but ...who knows
maybe that can be a problem, at the end that could ruin the originality in some works and make the art something repetitive, damn....
well you hit the spot ...of course is the best part what a better moment than see the result and the normal piece ....and actually think (in some cases) that
you liked yours more than the other that was already there uh?
gotta say thanks, like the other millions of times for your nice words, and hope everything is working for you, with your studies, and work.

Hi Alterlier,

thanks for the comment in my guestbook and the fav on "Spiderweb". :)

No one said that your last wallpaper has something of Tim Burton's style? Well I must admit that if you don't read the description... maybe you just don't think of it. Sometimes you have to get a hint to realise of what or whom something reminds you. Many people don't read the description on wallpapers. Especially not longer ones like yours. But seriously, you shouldn't worry about this. To me your wallpaper really transfers the Burton style. But does it actually matter whether people see it or not? Everyone might see something different... that's part of why art is so fascinating in my point of view. I'm studying literature too and I don't really like when people say this has to be interpreted in this and that way. And that was what the author wanted to say. I mean I like discussing it but it shouldn't be so strict... everybody has his or her own points of views, thoughts, experiences and they all influence us in what we believe to see. :)

Oh me too, I tend to stick to a color scheme. And especially for wallpapers that's actually important, don*t you think? It's good for the eye. And who'd want to look at something that has no color balance what so ever, every day on the desktop? Well me... no. I'm using your last wallpaper on my desktop by the way. ^^ Do you know Picasso's blue period? I'm in love with those paintings... and I'm in love with colors too, especially blue. So nothing wrong in sticking to a certain scheme, especially in graphic design it's quite important I guess. There are so many many book written on colors... But if you don't feel comfortable with a color scheme... why don't you try something else then? I guess everything is possible. ^^

Yes it feels so great when you like your own artwork more than the original one. :)

And yes, I'm doing quite fine. Just a bit lazy to write my last university papers. And about work... standing in a clothes store is certainly not my dream job... but at the moment while I'm still at university... it's quite nice to get some money. I hope that everything is going well for you too. And thanks for all these compliments. I love to read from you. Your comments are always thoughtful and interesting! So thanks to you too. And I hope to read you again soon. ^^

I loved reading your comment XD

Quote by alterlierso I'm really late here....late....but I was browsing and I saw sora...and well you cant avoid sora...is just a rule...so here I am
jaja I also hated hundred acre woods in all of possible shapes.....even I have to admit that I jumped to another world the first time I played the game only to not look at pooh...he's just toooo slow....anyway....like everybody said above ....omg! you did it with the mouse, oh! is incredible, oh! I love it! oh I would never do that, oh!oh!oh!....guess there's no point in say that....well I'm also surprised (not that OH! surprised, cuz I've seen your works and you are really good in what you do but surprised cuz it takes a lot of work and patience I guess)

Actually the CGing wasn't too bad 'cause the outlines scan was small, luckily :3 I think the hardest part was probably picking the colors. Since I found good reference scans, that part turned out to be ok xD Actually the hardest part was probably the final fixes, since I showed tat0rs the WIP and then she drove me on the details, like making the paper crinkle and things.

And yeah... I think my friend and I skipped most of the Hundred Acre Woods in KH2. Mwe he he >:3

Hope you had a good Halloween x)

Quote by alterlierso the banners that people made even if they were good are out?

yep..sorry T-T I decided that we needed a little change. I think what we are going to do from now on is purge the banner section once every 2 months or something so we can keep getting fresh new rotations of banners.

Quote by alterlierso the greatest pleasure and happiness, still valued with power ...ja if you actually think about it our leaders today are trying or is kind of possible that maybe they have the same thoughts ...or at least the same ideas, the problem is that none of them (with some exceptions) are doing it right.
let's see....at first I thought it was a scan ... completely nice vector work, hard thing I guess...gotta say that it looks (I think you wanted that way) really traditional so the essence is still there and it looks pretty damn good.
great work.

hello lady alterlier. :) yes; it seems nothing changed after all this time. i am really glad you enjoyed the wall as your opinion means a lot to me. and thank you for adding me to your friendslist. :)

Quote by alterlierif you are capable of make such a relaxing/calming/beautiful scence you can say you can transforme peace into art, seriously the colors, the perspective, the coming essence all combined seems like a simple painting but still with a really strong power of attraction to the eye....the only thing that I dont know, dont quite match is the text you put on it...anyway..
wish I could in a canvas to do such a thing....guess I'm afraid to screw up everything.
great wallpaper.

thank you for the comment and fave =D
the text is something Izumi sensei said in the later episodes >__<

Quote by alterlierthe umbrellas are kind of requested these days, nice idea to match the quote, and even if it is really really simplistic wall. looks pretty complete ...and well I guess the idea is that you focus on the umbrella and no the bg....
like people said up there ...I will also pointt out that it would be kind of better if the raindrops were smaller ....
anyway I've never seen your work, until now, so this is an opportunity to keep an eye of you. (no in a creepy way or something), that means I'll be waiting to see more of you.

ahh thanks so much! and thanks for the advice, I'll shrink them a bit then :)
