Quote by LordWeScampi: You are correct, they are twin brothers. This is explained quite clearly in the game. They have always been unquestionably male so I have no idea why some like to say they are female.

This is just in response to your latter question in a comments post on an Utawarerumono scan: The twins don't follow the rules of their own species' anatomy, and this is why I think people get their gender confused. They have tails~only girls are supposed to have tails! OX Isn't it grand, what with the amount of liberties that writers can have messing with the fan's minds? *sigh* Anyway...see you around MT. :pacman:

Quote by LordWeActually, males can have tails too. This was quite a large debate and it has been proven men do have tails, if they come from the right tribe. In the anime there are several scenes that show a man's behind and there is clearly a tail there (it initially went unnoticed because most were just extras wandering around), and in an official illustration of the main male characters bathing in an onsen, tails are also clearly visible.

But yes, they are very androgynous, and people who aren't used to traps such as Bridget, Jun, Mizuho, etc. often get quite a surprise XD

Huh. Did not know that. o_0 You know, Utawarerumono really should have had a guide book or something. This isn't the first time that gender issues have come up in this show, and proven me wrong *sigh*...and I'm sure it won't be the last. ^_^' You do know what this means now, don't you? I have to go re-watch the series and pay attention to the extras! XD Like I needed an excuse to watch it again. lol ;) Thanks for the info. - maybe I'll know what I'm talking about one of these days. :D

Quote: You seem to be forgetting that mature content is no longer allowed on this site. It is nothing more than that single, simple reason. Just because an image containing mature content may be beautiful and/or have a profound meaning, or is intended to evoke deep emotion in the viewer does not mean it is above the rules. It would not be fair to allow your wallpaper to stay and delete others of a similar theme. This is not about anyone trying to say you are a bad person for making a controversial wallpaper or attempting to stifle your creativity. A single piece of art can evoke utter disgust in one person, and another could claim it is the most elegant thing ever created, but the aesthetic ideals of other members and moderators are irrelevant because of the site policy. Rules must be consistently and fairly enforced. No matter which way you look at it this wallpaper features mature content, and since that is currently not allowed in MT it was removed. The moderator who deleted your wallpaper may have even liked it a great deal, but that would not matter because it is the moderators' job to enforce policy, even if they personally don't agree with it.

I don't see why this is an issue. If fully clothed women in an innocent pose with nipples visible through their clothing are removed, of course this would be. AP is more lenient in regard to ecchi and suggestive material, so there is no point in saying "But they let me do it!" because it is a completely different site with different rules.

Ah, but you have also misread my notions, I mentioned that in the last post of mine in said thread that I am contempt with the deletion as long they do not pull in a lawyer issue on my head for disregarding human rights and making women look like animals of abuse and so on, which I swear I did not even think upon creating it.

The sample gies as beyond what I said, say an artist created an exihibition where there are burning of american flags, the artist is a good old pure blooded american, does that mean he disrespects his country, even if he didn't even think of it, and instead showing a message from the perspective of say "exhibiting through the eyes of the Iraqi people" ?

That is the thing, the way Candy-chan put made me feel criminal for even reading the novel, it gets more interesting by the way

Quote by LordWeThe only way is to wait it out and follow the rules in the meantime. Your member status can only be reinstated by a moderator, and since you were restricted only two hours ago, bugging the moderators about it will only irritate them and may even lead to a lengthened restriction. Marissa has already warned you twice for enlarging scans, which as stated in the policy is not allowed, so I would expect you will have to wait at least a month before she considers unrestricting you.

Just be good, and eventually you will regain your status.

I understand if you want to keep her hopes up, but as I've withnessed, many existing members were unable to restore regular membership though they stopped breaking the rules.
Just wanted to clear that up.

Hello LordWe,
I'm sorry to disturb you but I notice that many old threds that are more than four weeks old have been bumped and moderators have been closing them. My question is can members help moderator spot those bump thread and tell them or should I just let them find it in their own?
Take care,
Omikami

Quote by LordWeIf you find a very old thread that has recently been bumped, feel free to report it, and if the moderator feels it is necessary he/she will close it. The forum moderators are not online 24/7 so a few may slip through the cracks. It's possible the thread may be spotted and closed before your report is processed though, but it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and report them.

I see. Thank you very much for the quick reply and have a good day.
Oh, by the way should I report via PM or guest book or something else?

Quote by LordWeJun is officially male. In the second Happiness game, they added the option to turn him into a female for the straight males who were attracted to him, but that is only a little side thing. For the sake of the character and story, he is a boy.

wow!
thanks, i dind't know that!...
really, thanks, i had a really big doubt about it, but now i know the real and 'dark' true :D
take care!~

Thank you! sometimes while im making it i imagined that she'll suddenly turn into a monster and freak me out on the screen. >.<

Quote by LordWeI always look forward to your scans! XD These are so beautiful, thank you for for taking the time to scan them so carefully. Don't worry, the bottom looks just fine and one wouldn't even notice unless actively searching for it. Between your FF submissions and your Tukiji Nao, I can't think of a single scan I could resist downloading. I look forward to more! :)

Thanks :3 I'e been too lazy lately & I need to force myself to pay more attention to making scans... bt thanks for the really nice comment. It helps give me a bit more incentive to do more :)

A new mod popping over to annoy a new elite with more congratulations. You can never feel overly special and promotion to elite is a high honour.

Quote by LordWe

Thanks! :) I do feel very honoured. I've still not been told exactly what is expected of me, how much is expected, etc., but until somebodyelse finishes that FAQ I suppose I should just continue doing what I have been all along? I must have been doing something right, for you guys to notice me, especially since I don't often venture into the forums.

Well 'you guys' wouldn't have included me as I became mod same time you became elite, however I aprove of your promotion now anyhow X-P. I'd say keep doing the same as you always have, elite is a promotion for good work, not a demand for even more good work.

The biggest features you would now be using is to move threads and items to the elite gallery.....and access to the 'oh so secret' moderator lounge. Don't be intimidated by all the bronze, just say what you need to.

r q g

Hello hello LordWe! Congrats on your promotion! *throws confetti* :D

I see italics! Seems Sheqel's found another slave <runs>

Wear them well, and congratulations!

Quote by LordWeWhaaaa~? You don't like yaoi? Aw no. /)_(\

Actually no I don't (even though I like the work of a lot of yaoi artists; weird, huh)... But are you sure it's a yaoi doujinshi? Those look like two very femine cats, and the expression on the guyin the middle looks like something from a hentai doujinshi... Are you sure it's not a Group Scan?

merged: 06-14-2006 ~ 02:45am

Quote by LordWeI'm absolutely positive. Greed has that pervy grin because of what... events XD unfold in the doujinshi. I have this doujinshi, and they are definitely all boys. They are, from left to right, Edward Elric, Greed, and Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist.

I recognise Ed, but I know so little about FMA that I didn't know who the others were... I still say they look too girlish ;) But I'm quite glad I can't see the contents ;)

Quote by LordWefluke : As long as the images themselves were not scanned by Kei they are perfectly allowable. It is very easy to differentiate between one scanned image and another, because no scan is identical (unless of course it is the same scan). The coloration, saturation, crop, and imperfections such as dust or scratches serve as a sort of fingerprint for each scan. These are reliable identifying marks, and are especially helpful at identifying images which have been resized, up or down.

It does not matter whether one obtained Kei's scans through 4chan, another image gallery or via bittorrent, or if they have been sized down in an attempt to avoid detection; if they are Kei's scans they will be deleted.

But the question is, how do we identify those scanned by him, is there a certain mark left on them? Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to complain or anything, but we'll never know unless a member who uploads them specifically states exactly who scanned them. So until that time I was asking, should they all be reported and then deleted?

I also don't think it was good judgement on his part to scan these in, put them on the internet available to everyone and expect no one to pass them around. I might also ask, what was the purpose of putting them on the internet available to everyone.

Also as far as identifying the images scanned by him, I have yet to see one that I KNOW was scanned by him to compare mine too...I have no idea who originally scanned mine in I did try to find out I have yet to find any leads tho. As far as I can tell the beyourtruemind.net website...there is nothing but a shoutbox on it.

This also brings to mind, once someone see's his scan, all one has to do is make minor alteration to it so you couldn't tell any longer that it was his that was scanned in. Hopefully this doesn't sound argumentative, I only think it is awfully arrogant on his part to expect so much after he was the one who seeded the fire. :)

merged: 03-27-2006 ~ 04:44pm

Quote by LordWeOnly images which were scanned by Kei get reported and deleted. Even if two pictures were from the very same art book and each were scanned in at, say, 300dpi, the images would not be identical. They would not be cropped in the same manner, nor would the colors, sharpness, resolution, etc. be identical. Of course, one first needs the original scan from Kei's site for comparison, and I assure you, no mistake has ever been made in this matter. Each image is closely compared.

Some may consider it a bit silly of him to not want these images redistributed, but it bugs him to no end to have his scans uploaded elsewhere, regardless if proper credit was given or not. He has spent thousands of dollars on these art books, and then he destroys the book by tearing out the pages (a VERY painstaking process, believe me. Every time you do this you are taking a huge risk; the slightest slip and you have a ruined page on your hands), scans them carefully, and then joins them together in an image editing program. It is not a simple matter of throwing a book onto the scanner bed; he puts a lot of effort into his scans.

Unfortunately, people have been torrenting and redistributing without even mentioning him, so it is very probable those who upload his images to MT have no idea they were scanned by him, or that they even know of the existence of his site. Thus the responsibility of locating these images lies with those very familiar with Kei and his site.

Fortunately, in spite of all this, he has not begun watermarking his scans, as that completely ruins images.

Well, unless I see some proof of where a scan from the Flamboyant book came from I am going to continue reporting them. My images where deleted with no proof of who scanned them in, so I think it's only fair that unless someone has concrete proof where they came from none of the images should be allowed.

Is there supposed to be more on the beyourtruemind.net website? Like I said all I see on that page is a shoutbox, and that is the page that was used as reference as to why my images where deleted. I get that the owner Kei, that it's his site but I dont see any art on there...is there supposed to be? I would like to see an image from his scan to compare to mine to see if he is in fact the person who scanned my copy. I would gladly thank him for it.

Edit: I just found the scans section...kinda hard to see it there.

Quote: As much as I dislike this rule, I will help to clear out this material.

You and me both, but this is something so strict that we don't have a choice in the matter. I'm absolutely gob-smacked at it.

So even though you don't want to, it really is appreciated that you're trying to help. Lord knows, there's a lot of stuff that I think it okay. A lot of it can be got rid of in the name of good taste anyway, but there's so much that I would say is still tasteful & covers enough. Oh well... :(

Quote by LordWeTukiji Nao is god. X3 I never cease to be amazed at the intricacies of his (or her, I'm not quite sure) designs. The use of color in his artwork is also breathtaking; I have never seen anything else quite like it. I envy you deeply for owning this art book XP

It's not a book, it's just seperate pieces of stationery... but it would be absolutely criminal to write on them! OX

I'm glad you like them, and I'll keep trying to post some more regularly (until I run out, that is). I just can't get enough of them that I keep searching the net for more & more... It's good to know I'm not the only one who loves it so much :)

Quote by LordWe.....

Well, I am an American as well, and because I do live in America I am well aware of their tendency to overreact and cause hysterics over the tiniest thing which upsets them. That was a generality, yes, and was not meant to offend, as obviously not all Americans are like that, but I say that because I am far beyond disgusted at the current state of affairs of my nation. I think I will move to Germany... or Sweden, that sounds very nice.

Yeah I agree. I'm an American as well, and i'm sick of being here too, with the state of things and just the way this country functions, not the gov't but the social aspects of this country, if u can figure what i mean ^^ i think i'll move to a nice, foriegn country as well, like Japan or somewhere in Europe lol...

merged: 02-18-2006 ~ 11:21am
Yes, it is quite depressing how America is right now. People (not all but most) are fat, stupid, ignorant and obsessed with sex(the list goes on) i'm really getting tired of it...foreign countries seem to be so much more mature than we are.....
not all americans are bad in my eyes, but you get my drift......
