furniture to put in that appartment and of course, I had to clean my entire
computer because my hardrive was full (I'm still not done with that one ), and
so on...
With all this, I didn't have time to read as much as I wanted to this summer
(nor draw for that matter) except in the buses that brought me to Ottawa and
back. I still have a collection of about 15 books waiting for me to open
them lol. Speaking of books, I'm afraid I've never heard about those you talked
about. Well, I'm a French Canadian that lives, for now, in a small town in the
province of Quebec where libraries are exclusively in French... But, if
they're good, or that you have any other books you adored, please do tell me:
I'll look for them in Ottawa.
At the beginning of the summer, I read a lot of French books written by
contemporary authors from Quebec, mainly historical or detective novels. I'm
just not sure if you can read in French though .
In terms of English literature, I bought some books before moving out of Quebec
City (where there are real English librairies: miracle!). I bought classics I
have never read even though I attended an English college like Dickens (Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickleby) and Jane
Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I also
bought the devil wears prada and, from
the same author, everybody worth
knowing, partly because I couldn't go see the movie (no movie theatres
close to my hometown, of course!). I also bought The Chronicles of Narnia after seeing the first movie. And a
collection from Philip Pullman: His Dark
Materials. I believe you read Memoirs of
a Geisha, which I finally read (in a hurry before the movie came out) and
just loved. I think I should stop the enumeration of books I bought now, you're
probably already bored. And I
still didn't read any of them.
Anyways, as I said, if you have any advice to give me on books, I'd be immensely
grateful. For now, charaznableamurorei told me to read The Gift by Ursula K. Le Guin. But, obviously, I can't find it
here.

Ya I agree with you too, the eyes are intended. In fact, I didn't mean to make
them look so, but I'm too careless . I drew it first by pencil and again by pen; since the
uncomplete pic was such a mess, I couldn't see anything clearly. So after I
erased all the pencil lines, I found her eyes and face and shoulder also
having problems

Well, formally I'm on vacation since
June, but the truth is, I've been working, not to mention applying to
University. Thankfully I've been accepted and starting October Im a double
student of archaeology and computer science... (that's gonna be hard ). Anyways, I'll be going on holliday to he coast - maybe I'll sunbathe just
a little. Unfortunately I'll be there only for two weeks as after two weeks I
must return and take part in some archaeological excursion to God-knows-where,
to check my skills in digging*oh the
absurd*. When that nightmare is over I'll still have some vacation time left and
I'll be gonig with my former class on a it's-not-goodbye-it's-see-you-later camp
we organized. Phew, that seems quite it...
Well, hpe to hear from you more often, and I promise to wirte to you too...

here. ^_^ It's been totally hot lately over here. We had 3 days of 100+ weather,
and I was working outside in it. I was sweating so much that it looked like I
just came out a swimming pool, lol. So you'll be gone for a wedding. . .thats's
awesome! Make sure you come to my wedding too, lol. Fall classes begin at the
end of this very month unfortunately,
