However, it's made me quite a bit more introverted, therefore rather serious (I over-contemplate things, etc.), but with a worse sense of humor than when I started out. It's also naturally made me more open-minded, thanks to shonen/shojo ai content.
I've also taken up the habit of comparing someone I know to an anime/manga character, but not neccessarily in a romantic sense; more like: Holy crap! That dude/girl looks/behaves just like [insert name of anime/manga character]!
I used to think my English teacher looks like Wolfwood, but he has mostly just the physical traits, like the convex nose, black hair, and severe hight, with Hakkai Cho's mannerisms. My aunt pointed out that he looks a bit like a black-haired Ted Danson... which, eerily enough, is quite true! . Scary, too (I like the show "Becker" though...; My brother resembles Knives from Trigun... funny, but creepy, since he does have misanthropic habits, as well! ).

I'm pretty much accepting of someone's traits; the traits they have themselves, not those that remind me of a particular character. Love someone for who they are, in short.

Yeah, I'm working on that, but this is about 1/2 a year old, so I think I may have improved in tiny bits.
But yes, a long ways left to go to make it all come together (backgrounds, shading/light, proportions etc.)
