hey how're you ^^ just dropping by since i'm so free today's my
first day of an actual break and i already feel so bored but when i
had lessons i kept wanting to have nothing.i guess that's what they meant by
humans are never satisfied.but its not fair to us to have lessons during our
holidays right?i mean , for the whole of jun we got a break, but for me and my
class, we got lessons from monday to friday till the last week of june.which
means techinically our break is only one week and we got
tons of homework -stares at undone homework gathering dust in the corner- which
i have hardly any intention of completing >:i but i know i will in the end
with
such hectic schedules, i'm not surprised kids nowadays are more suicidal here,
theres this 10-yr-old kid who has everyday planned out for him, from the time he
wakes up to the time he goes for tuition at night and to the time he
sleeps.unbelievable -shakes head-
Quote by RegenbogenSorry, I am really
late this time! I've had university on the weekend as well. And yesterday
working from 8am to 23pm only breaks to eat something, shower ... very little
procrastinating! That's why I will stay away from MT for some more time because once
you start to get in here... it's not easy to get out. At least for me. But I've
already seen this wallpaper last time I was on here and I have been using it on
my desktop. I really like the whole composition. The background looks so much
like Range Murata. Really good! I think it was actually good that you
"screwed up" the first background. You put so much detail into the
bolts, but that's part of what makes the whole wallpaper look really good... and
professional. ^_^
Well what more is there left to say: I'm loving it! Oh today
Australia plays against Japan in the worldcup! I always have soccer on...
because I cannot stand the silence of my room!
I hope you're okay and sorry that I'm not visiting UA site at the moment! I
simply have no time at all... after tomorrow it might be a little bit better...
but just a little. I'm looking forward to your next wallpaper! Till then,
Misa!
Oh it's not a problem at all! I'm just glad you're still around :P we're all a
bit busy and all so don't worry about it ^^ I'm glad you enjoyed the wallpaper-
I tried to make it as Range Murata as possible so I'm happy that message got
through :P
Oh soccer I want to watch it... but i have to get my lazy self to go study
instead T.T
*stares at the senseless pile of essays to read* @__@;;
Hope all is well with you and schooling and all I'm
looking forward to your new wallpaper Whenever
that shall come I'll be all ready and waiting
Quote by RegenbogenHello PAche!
A new wallpaper from you! It looks really interesting... I like how the letters
came out, the different perspectives. Maybe I would have chosen another color
for the trousers because it is almost disappearing in the background. Whereas
the rest of the character's clothes stand out strongly.
I hope to see more wallpapers from you again! They always stand out to what you
usually see at Minitokyo.
hey thanks for the nice comment ^^ glad you liked it.i
know the trousers sort of blend in, but then, i've tried other colours and they
dont match ......
are you very tired from school or something?cos like misa, you sound(or look
since technically, i can't hear you) different from usual.more..mellow if you don't
mind my saying
I see your userpage is back to normal. Has that much time passed already since
I've been here? *lol*
Oh I am procrastinating as usual. With this weather I just don't want to work
anymore!
I hope you are all well and healthy again? I luckily am.
I've been thinking... couldn't we start something for UA like a "talent
search"? That is we start a thread that we are looking for new talents to
be member of our group and the person who is best then can use it in his or her
sig or something? Well maybe this sounds boring and weird but I was just writing
in UA group site and I don't like how there are no real discussions about
wallpapers taking place. And I
would like to find new talented wallers instead of always seeing work of the
same people. But maybe my wishes are only illusions and can't happen in reality.
But the usual competition that we have is only for UA people. And most people
don't even know about it. So since everybody is complaining about how boring the
UA guestbook is... we just need some fresh spirits... ?
Hm, that's it for today, my mind is rather empty.
I'll be seeing you around. (^_^)/V
Howdy Regenbogen! *just came back from dinner *
Indeed the faulty post has gone off the page Well I
guess not that much time has passed... I suppose I was lucky to have people post
despite my deadness
The talent thread is a great idea It's not
boring at all! My only concern (and others) was that in Mt2 advertising groups
in the forum was not allowed (I did advertise it and I was lucky to have my
thread not closed... I wasn't caught in the act other
threads did get closed, however). I'm not quite sure even if advertising is
allowed now in Mt3... I never really got around to reading about it. I'll check
it up anyhow and if the light is green we'll think up of a strategy and it's all
go go go !
It would definitely be nice to get some new people... application rates have
been very slow as well because it's kinda hard to find the group... strategy
alright *__*
Very glad that you posted despite being busy
*cookies*
woohoo *throws confetti* finally got down to finishing it
-is feeling guilty-i'm supposed to be studying now that my "O"s is so
near but I'M TIRED OF STUDYING.we got this stupid chinese intensive lessons
that's brainwashing me X_X
Quote by RegenbogenSorry Revan,
I am so late with my answer... 2 weeks! I guess I took a little Minitokyo break
and I was also a bit ill. Anyways here I am again.
Did you check out the UA group page? I think it's all just about getting used to
the pen tool. And recently we've also had a few discussions on UA... about
highlighting system, quality of submissions... *lol* That probably was too
exhausting and I had to go on MT holiday.
I lack time at the moment to really work on wallpapers. I can only do very
little every day and that's why all my wallpapers take ages to finish. I wonder
how all this will be when I will someday finish university and get a job. o_O I
guess I won't have more time then but I am still looking forward to it. I am 23
and I must really say I finally want to have my own money and I am sick of
writing exams. Oh well, I won't use this comment to write off my frustration.
Well I'd be happy to hear about how your vector skills are developping. So make
sure to keep me informed!
Until then and take good care, you too! ^_^
Hii
Regenbogen!
It's ok, don't worry if you take your time replying, sometimes I also do that
and it's ok... I understand that there is life away from the PC and other
circumstances that take up our time. So really don't feel bad if that happens I
can wait and understand. What I'm sorry is to hear you were a bit ill, hope it
was nothing serious and that you are doing good now.
By the way, I did check the tuts at UA... and I've had some time to give it a go
(not as much as I'd wish though) and still... well I'll say it as it is, I suck
big time. The only thing I really learn is the actions tut but
I mean I'd be a complete tech retard if I hadn't. Unfortunatelly I did not have
that much time to take a good look to the group and the discussions you were
having. The impression that I got is that this group is actually active,
something that's nice since most seem not to. So what is it you were discussing
about the highlights and quality submission?
I understand you... if only too well, I also have little time to sit in front of
my PC at home and get something done with my photoshop. Plus I've also kinda
lost inspiration recently, only thing that got me going was making the UP for a
friend of mine... and I haven't even finished but I'm
spacing off now. You wonder if you'll have time to wall once you start working,
I think you will... what would be difficult is if you try to study and work,
then I think you wouldn't really have any time left other than sleeping and
attempting to have a social life if you know what I mean (by the
way... you can complain around here, it's only not allowed if it's got something
to do with an item getting deleted LOL j/k
j/k).
Now that you mention you are 23... I can only remember the good old days
;______; it was fun being that age... well at least noone though I was a freak
for being so childish hahahaha.
As for my vector skills developing... well don't know how fast would that be
happening but I still will try and eventually get it, sure I'll let you know
how's going. By the way, thanks for the watch... though I'm not sure it'll be
worth something, haven't submitted anything in months. Well I'll get my
inspiration back... some day that is on the
other hand I think I'll be gaining by adding you.
It was fun dropping by... have a nice day! I'll see you around.
Vielen Dank fuer deinen Comment und den Fav und natuerlich, dafuer dass du mich

Hallo Regenbogen!
Danke schön für deinen comment und
für deinen fav! Ich bin
sehr froh das es dir so gefällt. Diesmal habe ich keine Baume

Quote by Terra-chan Vectoring and Walling are two very different
processes. A Vector is taking and image and recreating so that the image is a
better quality. A wallpaper is taking an image and an idea and using new design
elements and various artistic skills to create a new image that would look good
on a desktop.
I can recreate things, but making something new
eludes me.
Hello again,
I know that vectoring and walling are different processes. I won't force you to
believe in your walling ability. You know
what do you have to do to make a wall look good. First of all you need to have
some skills, which you have. Then you must find inspiration somewhere. And you
must most probably have an eye for what looks good and what doesn't. Especially
for walling you don't even have to be able to draw or something... You are not
creating new characters or at least you don't have to.
So I think a lot of making wallpapers is just exercise, patience and motivation.
If you start making a wallpaper thinking "oh I suck so much in it"...
yeah then most probably this will be the result. So instead
of wondering about that I would get started, making more walls... if you would
like to make better ones.
And you are still using that sig about losing in TREC.
Ah, but you see, I'm good at realizing the aesthetic qualities of something, but
I'm not good at excecuting them, and I rather suck at subtlety - which is the
main point of the really good walls - they don't shove your face in them. I've
got terrible technique for walls, but I'm a good critic. And Yeah... TREC was
what made me realize how poor my walling skills are... I just... can't turn my
ideas into reality well.
Quote by RegenbogenHello Rhonda,
I like the atmosphere in this wallpaper... even though, yes the moon looks a bit
weird... the tree also. How do you
make grass? Using brushes? I have never made grass so far... *lol* But I might
try it for my next wallpaper so I'd be grateful if you could give me a hint.
Your grass looks really good. I think the moon in your wallpaper should be a
little bit smaller and maybe a little less stars. But I enjoy the atmosphere.
^_^ Good luck for the competition!
Thank You for commenting on my wall! hehe, sorry about the moon and tree.
Yeah I just use the grass brush on photoshop and kind of hold and drag around
then make small grass and do the same thing. I probably do better if I took my
time. lol. But I have exams and I feel really sick. Well enough about that, well
then I look forward to seeing your next wall! And also thank you for the good
luck. You are so nice. Well hope you are doing really well! Take Care!

Terra-chan,
the vector is really clean and absolutely flawless. I don't know Karin and I
have no idea what it is about... She seems to have big breasts... that's all I
can say *lol* Oh well...
Anyways why do you keep saying "I suck at wallpapers"... that's not
really motivating, is it? I just think you can vector something in such a
perfect way... you can also make good wallpapers! o_O
Vectoring and Walling are two very different processes. A Vector is taking and

taking an image and an idea and using new design elements and various artistic
skills to create a new image that would look good on a desktop.

And Karin is the story of a girl named Karin Maaka (or Marker) who is a
bloodmaking vampire and her various embarrassing moments (seriously, each
episode is called an "Embarrassment") It's a great show and a lot of
fun.
Oh! Sorry to hear that you're sick :/ And yeah, love to the new userpage +
nageni-kun... I suck at designing userpage/siggies type of stuff. And yeah, now
that finals are over, I'm all done So I've
broken loose in PS. The walling break sort of happened but didn't... I think I'm
really addicted now
And you're welcome for the invite! Hopefully we can all learn a lot from each
other. Good luck with work, and see you 'round for sure
how are you? I've read that you are sick? I hope you are better by now. I am a
little sick too... I am surprised that there are no flames coming out of my
throat yet since it is burning that much. Well that
is why I am a little late on answering... gomenasai.
Lol I'm a bit better than yesterday because the throat doesn't hurt, but now the
nose is blocked I hate this weather lol. One minute it's warm and the next it's
raining And you're not late at all! I'm the one who's slow @__@;;

and I want to do it so well. But yeah I know I might be working more than most
"average students" even though I always think I am not doing enough.
Just look at all my long comments in the UA guestbook. And all the Anime
episodes I have been watching lately. Too many... Guess it's called
procrastinating...
Lol! I guess everyone procrastinates Those who
don't are machines
I've got a lot of work to do but I'm not even starting to work on it at the
moment. I even took today off uni to have a bit of a rest and I open up
photoshop instead My oh my, this half of the semester's not going to be pretty

now! I really didn't know that but in his last comment on my guestbook DREAM
wrote something about our discussions on the MT "Highlights" as well.
So people do just go there and read! I never really considered this. We
must make sure then to express our opinions more! UA rocks! *throws confetti and
dances*... Sorry I am a bit crazy today, I hope I don't get a fever.
*lol*
Lol! It's okay I didn't really realise how many people stopped by at UA until I
realised when people seemed to be very updated with our discussions (since our
guestbook is relatively active), and UA was linked, and overall questions were
asked about UA in general *__* It's a great source of information for everyone
and collating ideas lol
Quote by RegenbogenYes, I am so in
love with the Tsubasa soundtrack. But Xuan, my chinese friend gave me lots of
her chinese songs on mp3. And I found them most relaxing. *lol* Maybe it's
because I don't understand the lyrics... but the Japanese and Chinese music that
I've heard so far... I can even work while it is playing and I love the
atmosphere that goes a long with these songs. Maybe they are just so foreign
from the European and American music and that's why... I don't know!
Lol I enjoy listening to foreign music I simply can't understand because it
gives me a chance to either interpret it for the music and not the lyrics, and
to also interpret the lyrics myself when I have them in front of me It's like
a two way thing- I enjoy my music and I learn a language from it But I'm glad
to hear that you like to listen to the Chinese music too I don't
really listen to it much ; Strange
considering that's my language

No problem My nose is completely blocked at the mometn and a lime is not very appetising

*lol* Hello!
Thanks a lot for the comment. I am happy that you like "Garden of
Eden"... but the character there should not be called a "naked
chick". *lol* She is more than that! Elegant, beautiful... not like some
naked hentai chick! It's also because you don't really see a lot, do you?
Someone on Animepaper compared it to Hentai! That totally shocked me! O_o I
think even though she is naked, she's esthetically beautiful... but well I love
Leiji Matsumoto's art. So I am proud that my wallpaper is the first one with a
"naked chick" that made it to your desktop!
I read in your last comment on my userpage that you got fired from your job? Why
is that so? You don't sound too sad about it though.
I don't really know you well... but you always sound so funny. I enjoy
reading your comments, always a pleasure and they are so cheerful.
Hope to read you again soon! Keep on smiling!
(^_^)/V
She is definatly not hentai! She is much too elegent for that and has too much
poise....she's dignified, ya know. Glamorous, yet almost simple at the same
time. Kinda like how someone would describe a sunset. Naked chick, not supposed
to be deragatory, sexist, stereotypical nor a degredation upon ones character
just
a quick descriptive with a little bit of jollies. I really
do appreciate a fine piece of artwork wich is what it is, esthetics and all
Defiantly not sad about the job lol, (Already workin again, now all I need is a
second one ) it was a gas station that was in a crappy part of town that got robbed alot.
The manager was a loon who wrote me up for working overtime... reason I worked
overtime all the time was because 3rd shift always arrived atleast an hour late
and the nut says that I have to clock out whenever my shift ends and work for
free till he got there, I was like F$%# that! THe job went downhill from there
lol. She was so angry with me she tried to get the cops to remove me. But its
ok, i make more money now
Ah, something else we have in common lol, dont know u that well either we'll have
to fix that lol! You would be a wonderful addition to the people I know Hey if I
can make something so ordinary as the everyday comment into a one-liner of
love...Ill jump on that saddle! If im leavin someone a comment it better be
specialer then all the restest and most definatly the bestest cuz thats all I
download LOL! It has been a most honorable pleasure with a heap of humble
gratitude on the side. ...and many
more to come my dear. Take it easy! ^_^
btw I love your layout! I need to find someone who can make me one! Me and the
tutorial didnt get along lol!

Salut Lord DREAM,
thanks for all these compliments... I am not
sure whether I deserve them though...
I note down the "Dream userpage project" then. At the
moment I am stuck in trendwhore thoughts... *lol* So I don't think it would be
the appropriate time. I have been browsing through so many kitchy galleries
yesterday. Then I finally thought "Okay, let's use this one" and I
started working on it but maybe I'll drop it again and start another one. There
are actually quite many categories filled with cute girls who could be part of a
trendwhore project. But it feels difficult to me... I don't know what I should
do... make it look really trendwhore-ish? Or rather like Kuroimisa's entry...
that is seeking a middle way in my point of view. And then even if I really
decide for the real trendwhore way... I am not sure whether I can do it. I am
not that used to Photoshop and Illustrator yet... especially not with all these
sparkles, clouds, moon and romantic landscapes. So as far as I can tell now...
the trendwhore entry is not really easy...
Oh back to your userpage wish. I also noticed the words in square brackets.
I really don't understand why they deleted your recent Amano scans. As I said I
was browsing the gallery yesterday and I saw so many scans in low quality. Yours
are never in low quality... and yet they get deleted whereas those can stay?
Doesn't
make any sense to me. Especially since they are lamenting about the colors...
which can be easily changed with programms such as Photoshop. And how does there
have to be a certain number of colors in an artwork. What a regulation...
Hmm... maybe in summer I'll find time for my website project... yes... I will
need the help of my friend or my sister though. No way I can figure that out by
myself... I am happy though that you are progressing with your
"project" to upload sei-ki.
I do have an account at deviant art... but I only started mine for my sister, to
comment on her drawings... *lol* She wants to study "communication/media
design" (they have so many names for that...) and she has to create a
portfolio. However so many people want to study this subject so it's hard to get
a place on one of the universities. So far she failed. And I thought maybe
deviant art would help her to get some feedack and some positive words to help
her motivation. But it's simply too crowded there, so that wasn't a good idea.
... I just went there... took me some time to figure out the name that I've
used. Usually online I'm always as "Niji" but here at Minitokyo and
Deviant Art that name was taken. So I had to change it to "Ni-ji"... I
just made one submission there. The
original sketch of the character that I've used in a doujinshi here... And I
also see that my sister deleted all her drawings of the page. What I also think
about deviant art is that it's too commercial already. I hate it when you are
reminded of subscribing all the time by having an advertisement in the middle of
your page. So I can't really imagine of getting comfortable there.
And well in addition to that. Isn't deviant art a place where you can only post
items that originally were made by yourself? There are so many people there...
and almost everybody wants to be an "artist". Oh well... who is an
artist anyways?...
Bleach... I just started watching it. I wanted to know why so many people love
this Anime. I have seen 25 episodes now and I think I do understand. It looks
and feels "new"... The colors, the design of the characters, the music
etc. I have to say I'd really like to know how it continues but I still have to
get the next episodes... hmm but I don't feel the need to make a wallpaper of
it.
So, have you managed to "break rocks"?
I have to get back to my work now too...
A bientot... and merci beaucoup for the link to the Amano scans.
Salut Lady Regenbogen!
You deserve all the praise your walls get. ^^ re: the "trendwhore
wall" i have no idea how far you have gone but why not pick a scan you
like.. and add your own personal touches as well as a few
"trendwhore-ish" qualities that are so popular here. I have read that
you don't believe in the highlight system here much- i can agree to that to a
degree. i am especially dissapointed in the "abstract art" section.
you have at least 4 walls that warrant highlights- imo. I have
been a huge fan of yours since DernierCri pointed me to your first Amano
wallpaper last year on IM.
yes, i still cannot understand the Amano deletions. i mean this is Amano... but i am
glad you enjoyed the scans. Amano is easily my favourite artists of all time..
i am glad I found you on deviantart and would love to see you submit more works
there. i joined there simply to discover new artists and i have done that. i
have found a good way to discover artists is by checking your friends
favourites: MINE .
btw- i don't expect to have much of a gallery there as i noticed today that 2
walls have been deleted. i gave the original artists credit and vectored the
artwork.. oh well.. hehe
from what i understand deviantART is sort of in a tumble. i also am
dissapointed by the lack of critical comments as well. its a shame really- since
there are so many talented people whom could easily help other artists out by
simply writing tangible comments..
the average comments rival those found on MT- "hot, + fav". on the
plus side a bunch of Mt-ers are on deviant..
i wish your sister the best of luck. i can understand her frustration.. in a way
art is difficult to measure as it is in a way.. subjective..
"artist" very interesting question. what exactly is an artist? first
let me say this: i have become more open-minded towards art in general but i
still can instantly recognize art i like. i believe art in general must have a
point or purpose. or in other words say something. i don't care what people
create as long as they say something.. this allows artwork to transcend being
just a pretty picture and have meaning. i also like to challenged.. i love to
see art [be it a poem, music, drawing or a wallpaper] that make me think about
what their meaning is. so, Regenbogen in answer to your query- i would say art
could encompass anything a person creates that has meaning to them. i by no
means consider myself a "great artist" and have lots to learn about
digital art but I feel i can create something that has meaning and purpose. as
my friend Lady Kotter tells me "be creative". All people have a
capacity for creativity on some level.
sei-iki is now ...... updated. haha, I spent all last week figuring out how the
code works and is set up. Dreamweaver is a very good program for creating and
updating websites. i highly reccomend it. today i
had to delete about 10 entries in the gb since someone spammed me. they wrote
strange entries and posted links to drugs i have never heard off. i am used
to getting spammed at my yahoo e-mail acoounts but my web-site?
ah, you enjoyed "Bleach"? i just finished watching
"Gilgamesh". you must watch that series if you have a chance.. it's
awesome.

Salut Lord DREAM,
I just wanted to ask you about your favorite of Arete... but I already see it in
your favorites. Oh well I gave most scores to Kuroimisa's entry... Mostly because of
its originality. And oh it was something I would have never thought of...
Anyways I understand your choice... "Snow-white rose-red" is
beautifully made, but it's the more"classic" way. I am impressed how
Kuroimisa interpreted the Amano scan and made something completely new out of
it... trying to open new ways of intrepretation.
Ah the Amano contest- i myself didn't enter since the artwork seemed complete..
I felt that i could not add anything to it..
I understand- i believe why you liked Lady Misa's wall. Do you know how i first
meet Lady Misa? Why though an Amano wall. See a trend
here? hehe; Anyhow, i am a huge fan of Misa's but my heart always skips a beat
as she mentions how this is her "last wall" etc.. please Misa
don't quit...
I really felt that the Arete artwork should NOT have been vectored. To me-
vectoring the artwork took too much away from it and loses the essence or
"soul" of the work. But i must confess her use of the tree and
branches was sheer genuis. I wouldn't have thought of that.. I favoured Lady
Cyd84's work because it felt to me more in line with the whole essence of the
original. The bg, color coordination, and text really worked well -imo.
Lady Niji [i like your names] means "Rainbow" right? i want to thank
you for writing in sei-iki and demanding i update the site. DernierCri and his
wife put a lot of time setting it up, so i have a duty to make sure i update it
in a timely fashion. hmm , perhaps i will provide more scans you will enjoy..
^^
:leaves Lady Regenbogen a red rose:
Merci beaucoup et a bientot

univery... but okay, I admit we didn't work too much.
I'm pretty tired too, and you write a lot for "not a lot" You work a

only reason why I'm so tired is because yesterday I was walking around the city

deliberately do that so it angers you to post, or if the thread creator didn't

With the trendwhore wallpaper I feel so out of place now... we are trying to
find something new at UA... and my motivation for trendwhore has disappeared.
Maybe it's just because of this weekend, I didn't even open Illustrator.
Don't worry too much about finding anything new- with trendwhores, there's one
simple answer: a wallpaper you make without thinking at all.
Which is what most people do. They look at a scan, possibly extend the
background, add some sparkly thingies here. A cloud, some birds. Change the
colour scheme a bit and voila~ don't worry too much about it
Quote by Regenbogen
Yes, I agree with you. You said you were happy with the recent comments at UA...
but it's always the same people. Where are the 25 other UA members? Anyways you
shouldn't worry about it. There are enough other things that cause worries in
life.
I mean sure I can see it is your group but worries... they won't even make a
change. So try not to worry.
I also keep on thinking on what there could be done to get more active members.
But then I always think that most people are rather lazy to write comments apart
from short spamming sentences. And if we want more members making wallpapers...
hmm... and they don't want to join because it seems uncool to them to be
underappreciated... really difficult situation. To me
UA always felt cool! And
I think it is no use trying to make up strategies of how to "win" more
members when they won't be active members again. Just gathering members I don't
think is SO difficult but to find people who will really be active? Maybe I am
just too pessimistic about society and their desire to write, read and think
though...
Well, inactive members was always a problem with UA. We always tried to solve
it, but it's impossible. It's the same with other groups- there is no one
completely active group. As for the 25 inactive members, I won't worry about
them until next year I'll just
simply remove them all. By then we'd probably get a few more applications in
anyway, so I'm not too concerned about the inactive members. The reason why I
want to remove them is because they'll be getting page hits "for
free". It doesn't concern me that much, but I think it's unfair for those
who work hard and post, whereas they haven't done a single thing- not even vote
for a simple fortnightly competition.
Again, you don't have to worry too much about any member recruitment I think
everyone's more or less happy with the members we have now, and any members who
genuinely want to join, will apply and be active. We can't really force anyone
lol. I guess it might be because of all the "hard work" you might need
to put in for UA? Like here you must pick which wall you like 1st, 2nd, 3rd and
vote... whereas in simple-ism, you just pick which one you like and vote for it
in a short little post. I'm not quite willing to make UA have such a simple kind
of structure though, because what we're dealing with is complicated... and if we
weren't complicated, we'd lose the group's character O_O;; But it's true- people
naturally don't want to read or write unless it has something beneficial to
them. That's why most people would rather reply in gbooks "thanks for ur
comment, ur so nice i'll add u to fl" because it's much easier and well,
beneficial to the "faves" factor
Argh... ignore that too :P Hehehe
Quote by RegenbogenHmm and I hope you
were not upset about my comments considering the discussion about quality of MT
submissions. I keep thinking now of what to do... but that method doesn't
work for me. I will just try around. It's difficult because I don't know so many
things about Photoshop. Compared to you... So I am
not sure whether I can be of any help! But I am trying my best!
Not at all! I just didn't think about it from the other perspective, so you
brought it up But now I know what topic I need to bring up to get all the posts
flowing into the guestbook lol. As for the quality of submissions, we can't do
anything about them of course, but I didn't mention in the gbook lots of elites,
and mods even come to visit UA. If we can't do anything about the quality, we
can at least let people know. In a subtle way of course. We're not blaming
anyone - we just want something done- like stronger requirements for
highlighting or something. That's not for us to worry about though lol. We write
something, other people will think about it.
Quote by RegenbogenOh I wanted to get
"Tsubasa chronicle" soundtrack 1 and 2 from ebay. And that guy
wouldn't sell it to me because I am "abroad" since I am not in Germany
but in Austria. Can you believe it? And the record company is just a fake one
anyways. So he wouldn't see me a illegal CD! Well I am glad I didn't spend money
on copies... because I did find them... somehow... *lol* So happy... I love the
music. Some songs are so relaxing!
He wouldn't sell a pirated CD? But
it's good to hear that you found them by other means Anime
music was what got me into anime I only have
a Rurouni Kenshin, miscellaneous anime and an Evengelion soundtrack... the
instrumental music is nice for a change ^.^
Quote by RegenbogenOkay Misa, I hope
to hear from you again soon. Good luck for this university week!

PS: Oh no... you seem to have a problem on your userpage that is familiar to me!
Just tell a mod and the bug is fixed? This seems to happen quite often...
Hehe well someone forgot to close a quote, but I guess it's fine. I'm a bit lazy
to go and get it fixed, so I'll wait for all the posts to shift down the page
and it should be fine again
Hope this week will be a fine week for you too ^^/~~

I don't "claim" to be super busy... I am... but I've also learned that
I need to give myself free time to do the things that I enjoy doing. Stressing

I have so much work uni. I did that already... and I got the results for it.
That was I was mentally totally exhausted but I only realized it when my body

once you get that far... you realise that you have to change something. I am
still stressing a lot about my uni work... but I am definitely improving... no

for next weekend. But yeah... it's okay... I "just" have thousand

do what I can do. So I am still here making a userpage if I feel like doing one.

PAche,
thanks for dropping by. Well... "so many userpages"? It's my second

new one for months already until I finally did it.

stress?so its possible, i've been wondering about that for quite awhile.and
uh.you think being in school from 9am-5pm is long?lol in singapore its not
suprising for pupils to stay in school till 6pm and that cos the school gates
close at 6 otherwise they'll stay longer.and we start at 7.30am.but i guess i
ought to be happy i have such a "stable" life and not worry about
money and stuff
here's a reality check: anything, whatever that is, is considered fun and
enjoyable when its not compulsory or when it doesn't have much influence in your
future life.i find graphic designing fun cos it most probably won't have any
effect on my future career.i like playing computer games because that won't be
my job ever right?we like things because there's a sort of, limiting factor, a
"special edition" kind of thing.
i suppose its a good thing that you found a hobby that'll stop you
from...collapsing ._. thats pretty scary.actually, its downright scary *shiver* maybe you need another hobby and then
everything will stop since one
just prevents you from fainting, maybe two would eradicate the problem.
btw, i'm not always straight.i can be evasive too when its
neccessary that is.but i also know how to summarise things so maybe thats why
i'm always writing so short i'm a wierd
person i guess.a split-charactered, strange person.LOL i sound like some
psycho.
well i'll stop here cos i gotta do other stuff for my mother like vacuuming
etc.i wonder how many other teenage girls help do the household chores like me
i'm
being bullied.and they are so very kindly forcing me to go to this dinner with
my aunt's boss.who is freaky from what i heard.grah.they just make it sound
nicer than what it is, forcing is forcing no matter how much you make it up to
be
how are you? I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was very lazy... I didn't do
anything for university... well almost nothing. But I also feel a bit frustrated
about some things that I am not going to bother you with.
Yesterday I had fun though with my Chinese friend. We were preparing our
presentation and started our cooking exchange. *lol* This Sunday I made lunch
for her and soon she'll show me how to make some Chinese food.
Hohoho my weekends are always... scruffy lol~~ we
can be frustrated people across the world Chinese
food <3 It'd be interesting to see what you'll learn to make There are
so many different types according to regions and stuff ^^
Quote by RegenbogenWell I don't have
complete freedom there are still regulations... but it's like you need
"media managament" as a lesson... and more than one teacher offers
that kind of lesson. And what you do in these lessons depends a lot on who your
teacher is. So if you start to always pick the lessons with "easier"
teachers you can avoid some difficulties. Anyways there are also some lessons
where there is only one and you have to take it with that teacher no choice at
all.
But about what and how many lessons you choose each term... that's completely in
your own hands. Somehow it's cool but for some people it's also really difficult
because you must organise everything by yourself. Like if you are actually
lazy... then this may lead you to be really slow with your university progress.
Oh yes- compulsory blocks And
choosing~ haha! I get what you mean Sometimes
you wonder "do I need to study this... or not?" and "is this
required?" hahaha. It's a tough choice. Always I guess it's
sometimes nice to let the administration do stuff
Quote by RegenbogenOh well here all
the money seems to vanish in new computers too. It always has to be the newest
technology for the computer sciences but we with language and media studies get
the old stuff. I guess it will become even worse now since the new
headmaster loves computer sciences even more... So we actually have everything
worse than they do... we sit in the old building... *lol* whereas they get the
very new building with cool new technology. Oh well at least I am not studying
French, English or Slovenian those people have to sit in the cellar. *lol* Not
so many students... so they get the worst!
Hahah that reminds me of my high school- we got free computers from the
Government, but we also collected a technology fee, which went towards buying
even more computers. What happened was we would give away our old computers to
the boys' school (and by old I mean really old). The boys would run out and jump
around yelling "look we got new computers!" and get really excited...
but we were always feeling a bit bad because we had LCD screens ;
Quote by RegenbogenHmm I took a look
into the Sandbox again. Compared to the other forum topics it's probably still
the more interesting. Well I don't really know but I read the topics sometimes
of the forums and hmm... they sound a bit... weird? Or sometimes as if you were
in some soap opera forum.
Oh definitely it's more interesting. I find it more dynamic and at least worth
replying. The forums long turned into a large mess of duplicate threads and
quite redundant topics.
Some people even avoid the forums
Quote by RegenbogenMy trendwhore
wallpaper... yeah I am working on it every night actually but I am a bit stuck
with it. I am not happy about the result so far and I only have the character. I
am trying to improve it but maybe I will simply take a new scan. I will see...
so far you and me seem to be the only ones who (will) submit a trendwhore
wallpaper. It is difficult and so far my entry is nothing like trendwhore!
Anyways I still have fun with the theme... So
hopefully some more UA members are going to try it.
Lol! (it's a bit like geometric, anything is geometric and anything is
trendwhore) *cough* I don't
know if anyone else is trying it, but I sure hope that we get some people at
least saying they will It's always
easier to say than do~ I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with
<3
Quote by RegenbogenMaybe we should
make another competition next time... like making nice cool banners...? Or a
inventing a logo competition. I think it would be fun too... but maybe that's
just me. I think the browsing galleries thing is a nice idea too to make the members
recognize each others' works more. However it's always the same people posting
even though UA has more than 30 members.
We actually had a logo making competition thingy maybe 9 months or so ago. We
had rotating banners, and then when we won the collab I quickly threw together a
banner and put it at the top. It looks bad (I know that :P) but I guess it
reflected our group in the way that we are a casual and humorous bunch ^^ But if
anyone makes a good banner, sure I'll change it any day I'm
just too lazy. We might give the banner thing a shot again ^^
I actually borrowed the active members thingy from Nugen. They had a criteria
saying that only active members could stay members- those who weren't were
deleted. I'm going to delete those who still haven't bothered to make a single
post next March... whilst we got an influx of some really active members, the
number of inactive members worries me
Quote by Regenbogen
I actually can somehow understand why Bleach is so popular. It is not one of
these romance Animes... That is why I like it because the girls there are
different and not again a cute looking girl who behaves like a baby... *lol*
because she always depends on her savior. The characters are very different. The
music sounds very modern so does the design of the characters. The story somehow
IS new and exciting... I just think the fights are a bit annoying sometimes. And
some of the characters CAN be annoying to... But yeah I
still want to know what is going to happen now. At the
moment I am watching Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle though. I like how it is
drawn... and the music. But again such a female character who is mainly cute and
oh so pure and heart warming... that's what is annoying me a little.
Okies... I must read some now... it's already past 6pm... maybe I can still read for
some hours.
See you soon... (^_^)/V
*teehee* Feminist values here we come!
Lol well, one common trait about anime (especially the long ones) consists of
fights that last more than an episode, Slam Dunk had a basketball match lasting
3 episodes (ahah!) and mega flashbacks (Naruto).
Hehe true- it's always these things that lead you to suspense and wanting to
know more. The mysteries!
Oh cutesy girls The real life ones are annoying too
Mwahahah
Alrighty I'm pretty much done
Sorry once again for the late reply!
yo nice layout you sure got alot of time for someone who claims to be super busy,
making so many userpages
just saying hi again thats all i seem to be saying nowadays maybe cos i
dont really have much to say unless someone asks me to elaborate on something.so
anyway TODAY IS A FRIDAY!YAY.i wanna sleep in my chinese
teacher has been getting me to wake at 5.30am to get to school by 6.30am.and she
got this killer glare that i dont want to test plus
my exams are really...irritating.the fact that i'm growing up too fast is too.i
wonder where is wonderland i really
do
How's everything? I hope that great... around here it's been a bit crazy so
that's why I've taken longer to reply... sorry
And you might notice that my GB has not been very alive recently... must be
because I've not been able to visit some and the others seem to be busy so I guess
that for a mod I do not get that comenting and friending you thought we had.
It's good though, I really do not enjoy people wanting to friend me just because
I'm a part of MT's staff.
Thanks for the link to the group page, I'll try to have a look this weekend at
the pen tutorials so hopefully I'll be vectoring in no time ...
*sigh* yeah right
guess I'll try the pen tool for extractions first and then when I get
familiarized with it move to Illustrator and try vectoring.
Anyways, time to go, I'll be seeing you around... until then take good care!
Quote by RegenbogenHmm... I don't know
Yotsuba... I also like how the girl and the pole stand out more. In the right
edge there might be some left over lines? But apart from that it's a very cute
birthday wall. To me it looks as if the girl was climbing up there to get
another view? So hmm "Enjoy everything"... no matter where you are, no
matter what you do... and from her perspective she now sees a lot more... well
that is how I interprete it.
Your comments always make my day Yotsuba
is definitely very much about enjoying life to the fullest :3 I'm also glad you
liked the Range wall, and... *curses finals to the bottommost level of

Quote by Regenbogen Oh
thank you. I am glad that you like my comments! It's my pleasure... I enjoy
looking at your wallpapers so I always feel like saying something about them.
Your last one is on my current desktop. I'm actually surprised that I love it
that much because usually I feel uncertain about all these techniques that you
used. But in this wallpaper... they simply look cool. I wish I
was anywhere near to using these techniques in such an effective way. And the
blue around her... well I love looking at it. Hmm and it's Range Murata after
all. I wish I had enough money to collect artbooks... Well at least I can see a
lot here with the help of DREAM. He must have so many artbooks!
And about your finals... usually time passes really quickly when there is so
much work. So try to look forward to the time when you can relax again and get
back to Photoshop and Illustrator. May I ask you something... when you were
drawing in your recent wallpapers... which programm did you use for it? May it
be possible that drawing actually is easier with Photoshop? Or maybe I haven't
figured out the brushes system in Illustrator...
Okies... I got to return to my books. I wish you good luck, flyin... and
hopefully your finals will be over soon.
Wah... can't take credit for that last wall, most of those colors and effects
are Gid's good work. I doubt I'd be able to pull off something like that by
myself. I can't afford any artbooks either, but I just finished downloading
Range's new artbook. It's pretty cool.
Sadly since I got myself into walling madness I can't stop thinking about
walling. Oh well. Just a couple more finals to go... =_= And well, I've used
Illustrator for all the basic vectors work but lately I've exported them all
into psds once I finish with them. It's just a lot easier to tweak with effects
in photoshop, like add the gradient shading, play with layer overlays and
whatnot. And also I've discovered that making jpegs straight out of illustrator
files create jaggies like mad, but for some reason most of them disappear after
the file's exported to photoshop.
I guess it really depends on your preference for sure though. Like, crap does
all his vectoring in photoshop, and his vectors are hot. The clover one I did
Oruha's line art + colors + bg windows and rain outlines in Illustrator, and
added gradient shading, more rain, bg buildings, and lighting effects in
photoshop. The Range collab wall on the other hand was pretty much all PS...
patterns, stock, + masking work 'cause Gid's not a huge fan of vectoring The white
line and the helicopter outline though was off a jpeg of doodles I did in
Illustrator though, so yea...
Dunno if that helped or not But
yeash, the answer would be that lately it's a huge mix of both, but if you're
used to vectoring in photoshop then you definitely don't need illustrator,
unless you want to play with uber illustrator tools like the mesh gradient tool
and whatnot, 'cause PS is easier for effects. I just like using illustrator
'cause that's what I got used to
iiintresting page...

hey how're you ^^ just dropping by since i'm so free
today's my
first day of an actual break and i already feel so bored
but when i
had lessons i kept wanting to have nothing.i guess that's what they meant by
humans are never satisfied.but its not fair to us to have lessons during our
holidays right?i mean , for the whole of jun we got a break, but for me and my
class, we got lessons from monday to friday till the last week of june.which
means techinically our break is only one week
and we got
tons of homework -stares at undone homework gathering dust in the corner- which
i have hardly any intention of completing >:i but i know i will in the end
with
such hectic schedules, i'm not surprised kids nowadays are more suicidal
here,
theres this 10-yr-old kid who has everyday planned out for him, from the time he
wakes up to the time he goes for tuition at night and to the time he
sleeps.unbelievable -shakes head-
anyway, i've rambled more than enough
so seeya
Oh it's not a problem at all! I'm just glad you're still around :P we're all a bit busy and all so don't worry about it ^^ I'm glad you enjoyed the wallpaper- I tried to make it as Range Murata as possible so I'm happy that message got through :P
I want to watch it... but i have to get my lazy self to go study
instead T.T
I'm
looking forward to your new wallpaper
Whenever
that shall come I'll be all ready and waiting
Oh soccer

Hope all is well with you and schooling and all
hey thanks for the nice comment ^^ glad you liked it.i know the trousers sort of blend in, but then, i've tried other colours and they dont match

mind my saying
Howdy Regenbogen! *just came back from dinner

Indeed the faulty post has gone off the page
Well I
guess not that much time has passed... I suppose I was lucky to have people post
despite my deadness
The talent thread is a great idea
It's not
boring at all! My only concern (and others) was that in Mt2 advertising groups
in the forum was not allowed (I did advertise it and I was lucky to have my
thread not closed... I wasn't caught in the act
other
threads did get closed, however). I'm not quite sure even if advertising is
allowed now in Mt3... I never really got around to reading about it. I'll check
it up anyhow and if the light is green we'll think up of a strategy and it's all
go go go
!
It would definitely be nice to get some new people... application rates have been very slow as well because it's kinda hard to find the group... strategy alright *__*
Very glad that you posted despite being busy
*cookies*
check out my new wallpaper Perspectives by PAche
woohoo *throws confetti* finally got down to finishing it
-is feeling guilty-i'm supposed to be studying now that my "O"s is so near but I'M TIRED OF STUDYING.we got this stupid chinese intensive lessons that's brainwashing me X_X
Hii Regenbogen!
It's ok, don't worry if you take your time replying, sometimes I also do that and it's ok... I understand that there is life away from the PC and other circumstances that take up our time. So really don't feel bad if that happens I can wait and understand. What I'm sorry is to hear you were a bit ill, hope it was nothing serious and that you are doing good now.
By the way, I did check the tuts at UA... and I've had some time to give it a go (not as much as I'd wish though) and still... well I'll say it as it is, I suck big time. The only thing I really learn is the actions tut
but
I mean I'd be a complete tech retard if I hadn't. Unfortunatelly I did not have
that much time to take a good look to the group and the discussions you were
having. The impression that I got is that this group is actually active,
something that's nice since most seem not to. So what is it you were discussing
about the highlights and quality submission?
I understand you... if only too well, I also have little time to sit in front of my PC at home and get something done with my photoshop. Plus I've also kinda lost inspiration recently, only thing that got me going was making the UP for a friend of mine... and I haven't even finished
but I'm
spacing off now. You wonder if you'll have time to wall once you start working,
I think you will... what would be difficult is if you try to study and work,
then I think you wouldn't really have any time left other than sleeping and
attempting to have a social life if you know what I mean
(by the
way... you can complain around here, it's only not allowed if it's got something
to do with an item getting deleted LOL
j/k
j/k).
Now that you mention you are 23... I can only remember the good old days ;______; it was fun being that age... well at least noone though I was a freak for being so childish hahahaha.
As for my vector skills developing... well don't know how fast would that be happening but I still will try and eventually get it, sure I'll let you know how's going. By the way, thanks for the watch... though I'm not sure it'll be worth something, haven't submitted anything in months. Well I'll get my inspiration back... some day that is
on the
other hand I think I'll be gaining by adding you.
It was fun dropping by... have a nice day! I'll see you around.
Vielen Dank fuer deinen Comment und den Fav und natuerlich, dafuer dass du mich in deine Watchlist genommen hast.
Ich selber lebe momentan in Baden-Wuerttenberg und hoffe hier auch studieren zu koennen. Falls du "In the Mood for Love" mal sehen willst der Film kommt heute abend auf Arte.
P.S.: Geniale Userpage
Hallo Regenbogen!
Ich bin
sehr froh das es dir so gefällt. Diesmal habe ich keine Baume
benutzt.
Danke schön für deinen comment und für deinen fav!
Ah, but you see, I'm good at realizing the aesthetic qualities of something, but I'm not good at excecuting them, and I rather suck at subtlety - which is the main point of the really good walls - they don't shove your face in them. I've got terrible technique for walls, but I'm a good critic. And Yeah... TREC was what made me realize how poor my walling skills are... I just... can't turn my ideas into reality well.
Take Care!
Vectoring and Walling are two very different processes. A Vector is taking and image and recreating so that the image is a better quality. A wallpaper is taking an image and an idea and using new design elements and various artistic skills to create a new image that would look good on a desktop.
I can recreate things, but making something new eludes me.
And Karin is the story of a girl named Karin Maaka (or Marker) who is a bloodmaking vampire and her various embarrassing moments (seriously, each episode is called an "Embarrassment") It's a great show and a lot of fun.
Oh! Sorry to hear that you're sick :/ And yeah, love to the new userpage + nageni-kun... I suck at designing userpage/siggies type of stuff. And yeah, now that finals are over, I'm all done
So I've
broken loose in PS. The walling break sort of happened but didn't... I think I'm
really addicted now
And you're welcome for the invite! Hopefully we can all learn a lot from each other. Good luck with work, and see you 'round for sure
Lol I'm a bit better than yesterday because the throat doesn't hurt, but now the nose is blocked
I hate this weather lol. One minute it's warm and the next it's
raining
And you're not late at all! I'm the one who's slow @__@;;
Lol! I guess everyone procrastinates
Those who
don't are machines
My oh my, this half of the semester's not going to be pretty
'
I've got a lot of work to do but I'm not even starting to work on it at the moment. I even took today off uni to have a bit of a rest and I open up photoshop instead
Lol! It's okay
Lol I enjoy listening to foreign music I simply can't understand because it gives me a chance to either interpret it for the music and not the lyrics, and to also interpret the lyrics myself when I have them in front of me
It's like
a two way thing- I enjoy my music and I learn a language from it
But I'm glad
to hear that you like to listen to the Chinese music too
I don't
really listen to it much
; Strange
considering that's my language
No problem
My nose is completely blocked at the mometn and a lime is not very appetising
PS: with sore throats, swallowing a huge gulp of honey sometimes works. And recently, brushing my teeth helped somewhat *__* Hehe take lots of fluids and rest well ^^/
(^_^)/V
Hehe it's just a list if anyone needs it
Take your
time
She is definatly not hentai! She is much too elegent for that and has too much poise....she's dignified, ya know. Glamorous, yet almost simple at the same time. Kinda like how someone would describe a sunset. Naked chick, not supposed to be deragatory, sexist, stereotypical nor a degredation upon ones character
just
a quick descriptive with a little bit of jollies.
I really
do appreciate a fine piece of artwork wich is what it is, esthetics and all
Defiantly not sad about the job lol, (Already workin again, now all I need is a second one
) it was a gas station that was in a crappy part of town that got robbed alot.
But its
ok, i make more money now
Ah, something else we have in common lol, dont know u that well either
we'll have
to fix that lol! You would be a wonderful addition to the people I know
Hey if I
can make something so ordinary as the everyday comment into a one-liner of
love...Ill jump on that saddle!
Me and the tutorial didnt get along lol!
Yw.
I liked the background, hehe. It blended in with the rest of the details.
See you
around MT.
Salut Lady Regenbogen!
You deserve all the praise your walls get. ^^ re: the "trendwhore wall" i have no idea how far you have gone but why not pick a scan you like.. and add your own personal touches as well as a few "trendwhore-ish" qualities that are so popular here. I have read that you don't believe in the highlight system here much- i can agree to that to a degree. i am especially dissapointed in the "abstract art" section. you have at least 4 walls that warrant highlights- imo.
I have
been a huge fan of yours since DernierCri pointed me to your first Amano
wallpaper last year on IM.
but i am
glad you enjoyed the scans. Amano is easily my favourite artists of all time..
yes, i still cannot understand the Amano deletions. i mean this is Amano...
i am glad I found you on deviantart and would love to see you submit more works there. i joined there simply to discover new artists and i have done that. i have found a good way to discover artists is by checking your friends favourites: MINE . btw- i don't expect to have much of a gallery there as i noticed today that 2 walls have been deleted. i gave the original artists credit and vectored the artwork.. oh well.. hehe
i also am
dissapointed by the lack of critical comments as well. its a shame really- since
there are so many talented people whom could easily help other artists out by
simply writing tangible comments..
from what i understand deviantART is sort of in a tumble.
the average comments rival those found on MT- "hot, + fav". on the plus side a bunch of Mt-ers are on deviant..
i wish your sister the best of luck. i can understand her frustration.. in a way art is difficult to measure as it is in a way.. subjective..
"artist" very interesting question. what exactly is an artist? first let me say this: i have become more open-minded towards art in general but i still can instantly recognize art i like. i believe art in general must have a point or purpose. or in other words say something. i don't care what people create as long as they say something.. this allows artwork to transcend being just a pretty picture and have meaning. i also like to challenged.. i love to see art [be it a poem, music, drawing or a wallpaper] that make me think about what their meaning is. so, Regenbogen in answer to your query- i would say art could encompass anything a person creates that has meaning to them. i by no means consider myself a "great artist" and have lots to learn about digital art but I feel i can create something that has meaning and purpose. as my friend Lady Kotter tells me "be creative". All people have a capacity for creativity on some level.
sei-iki is now ...... updated. haha, I spent all last week figuring out how the code works and is set up. Dreamweaver is a very good program for creating and updating websites. i highly reccomend it.
today i
had to delete about 10 entries in the gb since someone spammed me.
they wrote
strange entries and posted links to drugs i have never heard off.
i am used
to getting spammed at my yahoo e-mail acoounts but my web-site?
ah, you enjoyed "Bleach"? i just finished watching "Gilgamesh". you must watch that series if you have a chance.. it's awesome.
Ah the Amano contest- i myself didn't enter since the artwork seemed complete.. I felt that i could not add anything to it..
I understand- i believe why you liked Lady Misa's wall. Do you know how i first meet Lady Misa? Why though an Amano wall. See a trend here? hehe; Anyhow, i am a huge fan of Misa's but my heart always skips a beat as she mentions how this is her "last wall" etc..
please Misa
don't quit...
I really felt that the Arete artwork should NOT have been vectored. To me- vectoring the artwork took too much away from it and loses the essence or "soul" of the work. But i must confess her use of the tree and branches was sheer genuis. I wouldn't have thought of that.. I favoured Lady Cyd84's work because it felt to me more in line with the whole essence of the original. The bg, color coordination, and text really worked well -imo.
Lady Niji [i like your names] means "Rainbow" right? i want to thank you for writing in sei-iki and demanding i update the site. DernierCri and his wife put a lot of time setting it up, so i have a duty to make sure i update it in a timely fashion. hmm , perhaps i will provide more scans you will enjoy.. ^^
:leaves Lady Regenbogen a red rose:
Merci beaucoup et a bientot
Alrighty then
I'm pretty tired too, and you write a lot for "not a lot"
You work a
lot more than I do for University
The
only reason why I'm so tired is because yesterday I was walking around the city
with some friends to study a bridge (Uni work) and then went shopping (non Uni
work
) and we ended up shopping more than bridge photo taking
Oh I'm so
terrible when it comes to work
They are :P There are some thread names that look so stupid you wonder if they deliberately do that so it angers you to post, or if the thread creator didn't think when they created the thread
Don't worry too much about finding anything new- with trendwhores, there's one simple answer: a wallpaper you make without thinking at all.
Which is what most people do. They look at a scan, possibly extend the background, add some sparkly thingies here. A cloud, some birds. Change the colour scheme a bit and voila~ don't worry too much about it
Well, inactive members was always a problem with UA. We always tried to solve it, but it's impossible. It's the same with other groups- there is no one completely active group. As for the 25 inactive members, I won't worry about them until next year
I'll just
simply remove them all.
Again, you don't have to worry too much about any member recruitment
I think
everyone's more or less happy with the members we have now, and any members who
genuinely want to join, will apply and be active.
Not at all! I just didn't think about it from the other perspective, so you brought it up
But now I know what topic I need to bring up to get all the posts
flowing into the guestbook lol.
He wouldn't sell a pirated CD?
But
it's good to hear that you found them by other means
Anime
music was what got me into anime
I only have
a Rurouni Kenshin, miscellaneous anime and an Evengelion soundtrack... the
instrumental music is nice for a change ^.^
Hehe well someone forgot to close a quote, but I guess it's fine. I'm a bit lazy to go and get it fixed, so I'll wait for all the posts to shift down the page and it should be fine again
Hope this week will be a fine week for you too ^^/~~
It's sure been a while! Sorry for this late reply ^^;;
Hohoho my weekends are always... scruffy
lol~~ we
can be frustrated people across the world
Chinese
food <3 It'd be interesting to see what you'll learn to make
There are
so many different types according to regions and stuff ^^
Oh yes- compulsory blocks
And
choosing~ haha! I get what you mean
Sometimes
you wonder "do I need to study this... or not?" and "is this
required?" hahaha. It's a tough choice. Always
I guess it's
sometimes nice to let the administration do stuff
Hahah that reminds me of my high school- we got free computers from the Government, but we also collected a technology fee, which went towards buying even more computers. What happened was we would give away our old computers to the boys' school (and by old I mean really old). The boys would run out and jump around yelling "look we got new computers!" and get really excited... but we were always feeling a bit bad because we had LCD screens
;
Oh definitely it's more interesting. I find it more dynamic and at least worth replying. The forums long turned into a large mess of duplicate threads and quite redundant topics.
Some people even avoid the forums
Lol! (it's a bit like geometric, anything is geometric and anything is trendwhore) *cough*
I don't
know if anyone else is trying it, but I sure hope that we get some people at
least saying they will
It's always
easier to say than do~ I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with
<3
We actually had a logo making competition thingy maybe 9 months or so ago. We had rotating banners, and then when we won the collab I quickly threw together a banner and put it at the top. It looks bad (I know that :P) but I guess it reflected our group in the way that we are a casual and humorous bunch ^^ But if anyone makes a good banner, sure I'll change it any day
I'm
just too lazy. We might give the banner thing a shot again ^^
I actually borrowed the active members thingy from Nugen. They had a criteria saying that only active members could stay members- those who weren't were deleted. I'm going to delete those who still haven't bothered to make a single post next March... whilst we got an influx of some really active members, the number of inactive members worries me
*teehee* Feminist values here we come!
The real life ones are annoying too
Mwahahah
Lol well, one common trait about anime (especially the long ones) consists of fights that last more than an episode, Slam Dunk had a basketball match lasting 3 episodes (ahah!) and mega flashbacks (Naruto).
Hehe true- it's always these things that lead you to suspense and wanting to know more. The mysteries!
Oh cutesy girls
Alrighty I'm pretty much done
Sorry once again for the late reply!
yo nice layout
you sure got alot of time for someone who claims to be super busy,
making so many userpages
just saying hi again thats all i seem to be saying nowadays
maybe cos i
dont really have much to say unless someone asks me to elaborate on something.so
anyway TODAY IS A FRIDAY!YAY.i wanna sleep in
my chinese
teacher has been getting me to wake at 5.30am to get to school by 6.30am.and she
got this killer glare that i dont want to test
plus
my exams are really...irritating.the fact that i'm growing up too fast is too.i
wonder where is wonderland
i really
do
Hola Regenbogen!
How's everything? I hope that great... around here it's been a bit crazy so that's why I've taken longer to reply... sorry
And you might notice that my GB has not been very alive recently... must be because I've not been able to visit some and the others seem to be busy
so I guess
that for a mod I do not get that comenting and friending you thought we had.
It's good though, I really do not enjoy people wanting to friend me just because
I'm a part of MT's staff.
Thanks for the link to the group page, I'll try to have a look this weekend at the pen tutorials so hopefully I'll be vectoring in no time
...
*sigh* yeah right
guess I'll try the pen tool for extractions first and then when I get
familiarized with it move to Illustrator and try vectoring.
Anyways, time to go, I'll be seeing you around... until then take good care!
Your comments always make my day
Yotsuba
is definitely very much about enjoying life to the fullest :3 I'm also glad you
liked the Range wall, and... *curses finals to the bottommost level of
hell*
merged: 05-03-2006 ~ 01:42pm
Wah... can't take credit for that last wall, most of those colors and effects are Gid's good work. I doubt I'd be able to pull off something like that by myself. I can't afford any artbooks either, but I just finished downloading Range's new artbook. It's pretty cool.
Sadly since I got myself into walling madness I can't stop thinking about walling.
Like, crap does all his vectoring in photoshop, and his vectors are hot. The clover one I did Oruha's line art + colors + bg windows and rain outlines in Illustrator, and added gradient shading, more rain, bg buildings, and lighting effects in photoshop. The Range collab wall on the other hand was pretty much all PS... patterns, stock, + masking work 'cause Gid's not a huge fan of vectoring
The white
line and the helicopter outline though was off a jpeg of doodles I did in
Illustrator though, so yea...
Dunno if that helped or not
But
yeash, the answer would be that lately it's a huge mix of both, but if you're
used to vectoring in photoshop then you definitely don't need illustrator,
unless you want to play with uber illustrator tools like the mesh gradient tool
and whatnot, 'cause PS is easier for effects. I just like using illustrator
'cause that's what I got used to
