Hello there shin sama ^_^

Thanks for dropping a note in my GB... I understand better now the situation, hope they don't start throwing things at each others (though i have no idea what a fish could actually throw... maybe i'll have to ask the Monthy Pythons about it, they'll come up with something for sure :) ). I haven't seen the movie, since my brother told me it wasn't so great.

Anyway, i'm doing alright, it's the end of my holidays (let's call it Easter holiday, though it was only one week, and not for Easter either), so i've been able to study a bit ^_^'... I have exams coming in a little month or so, gotta work hard *puts on the hachimaki*. I hope your sister's doing good in her studies too (i have to support fellow med students i guess... you never know who's going to cure you ^_^').

I just bought the Robot artbook (number 1), it just arrived in France, and it's pretty good. I've seen many Range Murata scans these days (lots by you.... ahah and i couldn't help but want that new artbook of yours... shame on you for making me drool over it *grrr*).

Anyway, take good care, have fun etc

anj :D

Quote by shinsengumi niomea, first, let me apologize for my extremely delayed response. Things have been a bit hectic on my end, but as the saying goes, better late than never!

Thank you for your sentiments. Your contributions, particularly in plot synopses, were always very well-written and as such very much appreciated. Sometimes I do miss being a moderator and therefore and therefore being able to interact with dedicated contributors on a regular basis, but at the same time I'm not sure that I have the willpower, time, or even the desire to do so again. That said, I'm still around, and do check in at least once a day, though these days I spend more time browisng the galleries rather than snooping around the forums or flipping through reviews.

I wish you the best of luck as well, and would like to let you know that your offer of friendship is most certainly gratefully accepted. Take care, and hope to continue seeing you around!

Perhaps I'd better start believing that friendship is more a mysterious chemistry between hearts than a simple linear logic between teo people. I have always enjoyed reading your reviews. It inspire me to write, and above all else - I don't know how - continuously invite me to write. Your ideas are remarkable, and runs really deep. There are numerous time I find myself drifting in my thoughts as I browse for titles that haven't got a synopses yet, and it brings me great joy submitting one, knowing that it will end on the desk of my admired Senpai.

I am still writing synopses even now, but like you said, the fire is not lit as bright as it used to be. I spend more time taking good care of my Shinigamis in the group, but Shinsengumi are also well known as the God of Death on earth no? so
thank you very much for your acceptance. I am looking forward to see where our thoughts bring us after this.

Feel free to write me if you need anything. Helping a friend would e an honor for me.

Hi there shinsengumi, thanks for the watch. By the way, thanks for all the help with Arete. Couldn't have done it without you, you truly did quite well in bringing all the results in. I'm sorry I couldn't get my scoring sheets on time; I was away. I only get to read your PM this morning. Sorry about that. But I really appreciate for what you've done. Thank you!

May we meet again.

r q g

Hehe, it was my pleasure! Thank you for participating and helping to make this contest a reality. . . and thanks for being one of the few participants to get their scoring sheets in =D

No problemo...thanks for the nice comment on the wall and in the competition :)

r q g

hey shinsengumi- i just wanted to stop by and thank you for bringing closure to Arete. I really appreciate that. Also im glad you posted the autographed Murata artwork. Strangely, Murata-san is the only one of my favourite artists to which i do not have an artbook.

hmm- btw did you snag the scans in IRC? or?

au revoir

r q g

Hello Shinsengumi,

thanks for adding me to your watchlist. ^-^ But I also wanted to say thanks for bringing Arete to its end, even though I was not responsible for the competition... but it feels good that it's over now... started to feel a little frustrating. ;) I remember I wrote my comments and scores during a time when I was rather stressed, and I already thought it would have been for nothing.
I have never been a judge before... so this was a very new, yet interesting experience for me. It was interesting to see how yours and artgeek's scores and comments were different from mine. I see... "Amano ladyfan" has been highlighted. That's probably the best example how different taste can be. I looked at the wallpaper again... and I still would have given the same scores. :) Interesting! As you said... on the other hand some of our scores were almost the same.
Oh well I am happy that my first judging experience didn't end in a disappointment so thanks again for doing Omni's work in such a quick time. I admire your website skills! O_o
So hopefully we'll "meet" again as judges... *lol*... or here on Minitokyo!

r q g

Quote by shinsengumiThank you! It was really my pleasure!

I think that in judging I've found something I really like doing on MT again. . . I used to really enjoy the forums, but now I absolutely detest them. Judging exposes me to the other side of Minitokyo that I never had the time to really immerse myself into in the past, and I'm finding that I really enjoy it.

Speaking of which, are all entries in for UA 9?

I understand what you mean about the forums :P I try to post i nthe Sandbox... but it's really tedious >_< Nothing really interests either- lol *thinks of all those funny thread titles*

Unfortunately the UA 9 entries aren't all in, because I added in another theme (namely trendwhore). I think pretty much all the geometric entries are in. Activity in UA has been pretty slow lately. Maybe I need tactics... *contemplates*

Thanks again for taking the time to sort out Arete for everybody...domo domo arigato :)

Quote by shinsengumiFisrt post! As I noted in my Arete comments. . .

Simple and clean, elegant and effective. This entry certainly makes for a very good wallpaper, and the idea of drawing the pattern on the kimono into a tree that blossoms from the flowers in the subject's hair is extremely novel, making very creative use of elements of the scan and weaving them into something completely different.

Kudos to misa for being able to flesh out so whimsical and imaginative a concept!

Teehee thanks for the comments and taking the initiative of organising the final commenting and scores of Arete! :D

Quote by MasterDiablovn_So nice, this poster at DPG is too large (6000x4186) so I can't upload it <_< I wish I could buy an Artbook too, but I'm living in Viet Nam so it's imposible T_T

I shrank the DPG scan down to size because I was getting the same "image is too large" error when I tried to upload it earlier. Anyhow, I purchased the Wani Special Limited Edition of form|code, which is signed and numbered by Range Murata. It set me back by 19,450 yen, but was definitely worth every last cent.

Unfortunately, because Wani only published as many copies as there were pre-orders, it's extremely difficult to find copies of form|code now. Your best bet is to wait for the normal (non-limited) edition, which will be coming out soon.

_Wow that's cool .. But even though, I can't buy the Artbook, I said it before, I'm living in Viet Nam, there's no Artbook here. I wish I could buy one too T_T OH LIMITED EDITION! T_T

Time sure flies when we are cruising the real world isn't it? But it's faster when it comes to lose a friend. It was only yesterday that I sent my synopsys and chatted with you, but surely, browsing stories is much more quiet without you around.

However, time is flowing eternally in our heart, and I do wish that we can remain friends even after your retirement. There are plenty of interesting thoughts from you that I always admire, and I wish that I am permitted to still be able to see it coming from you in days to come.

Wishing you the best luck in your real life and on the net, please accept my bow of friendship.

r q g

How's it going? You've been very quiet since your retirement. I hope you didn't actually turn old and decrepit. =P

Anyways, I promised to let you know about my college decisions. I've been putting off telling you because I couldn't decide where to go until tonight.

Georgetown University Class of 2010. Hoya Saxa!

So I'll be staying close to home. But I think it'll still be a great experience since I don't think anyone from my school is going to Gtown.

The other schools I got into were NYU Stern, UVA, and UMD College Park (for full Banneker/Key Scholarship). So it was a tough choice. But I realized this week that I'm not ready to commit myself 100% to just business and that I'd like to explore other things in college. Nonetheless, I'd still like to have a good school with a good reputation to help bolster my resume when I look for jobs and internships. So I felt that Georgetown was the best choice. That, plus I loved the campus.

That's basically the run down. It's probably much less exciting than your experience, Ivy League and all. But hey, maybe I'll get another shot for my MBA, though maybe I'll go out west for that.

r q g

hi, shin.

thanx for the fav on winter nights. i'll see ya around...

r q g

Hey there Shin-san how're things going with you? Classes not too stressful? (I hope!) If I remember correctly you'll be graduating soon? I've still got another semester to go, but I'll probably stay for the full year and take full advantage of my scholarship... X-P Did you have a nice Spring Break? Well, just thought I'd stop by, say hi, and see how you were doing! Take cares! :D

r q g

Quote by shinsengumiHehe! Looks like they finally acted on my suggestions and have gone ahead and knocked your username sideways! I love the italics, misa, they're well-deserved. Take care, and see you around!

Lol (-^^-);; Thanks so much shinsengumi ^_^'
*sends a hug across the internet* XD

r q g

What? Why are you now elite member? What retirement? Are you tired already or you haven't time for MiniTokyo?

r q g

*Stepping into the lines of the police troop*

Konnichiwa desu, Shinsengumi-sempai. I was just wondering about the MT control panel contest; it should be over by now right? Are you still in charge of this even after your retirement? Or has someone else taken over?

When are we gonna know the results? When will the winners be applied to the control panel options? Are all the icons gonna be the same? Do you support Commodore Perry? Why do pancakes grow on trees?

*Oops* Sorry... Too many questions.... ^_^'

Hello! I´m new here and i don´t understand how I can make to create a reviews that everyone can answer and another question as how I can notify an image that this in one category mistaken

Thank you very much
I hope you can answer me

r q g

oh sorry, I'm not too familiar with this site, I just sent those synopses to the link that was posted on each page. I didn't save copies of my own. If it's not a pain, could you either FWD them back to me or to the proper person.

Thanks!

r q g

Whut up!

Well, I installed Oblivion- the intro and everything went well until I tried to play it. Basically, everything's white. I can see a few outlines of some shapes, but everything else is white. Basically I think it's not liking my video card; it's a Radeon 9000- the game install guide says it only supports 9500 and up for Radeons. I'll try re-installing DirectX and the other obvious stuff, but I might be in the market for a new video card. Given my motherboard, I might be in the market for a new computer altogether :hmpf: Of course, if I'm already considering dumping big money into a high-end videocard, I could just say "In for a penny, in for a pound" and go for a new laptop- think it'd work? lol

So how's retirement? BTW check out the mod forum, I've been busy ;) Ciao!
:pacman:

r q g

Hey yo Shin. How's college so far?
I hope you haven't forgotten me because you most likely did. xP
Anywho, thanks for helping me last year with that project.

And oh yea, you gave up being a mod? Good choice. It takes too much work. XD

Shinsengumi i appreciate your reply but i have learned about the patriot act, i had to do a 6 page report on it, and i do understand the basics of the act. I may not know as much as you on the subject does not make me ignorant. And on the point of you telling me " do not swallow what you hear from friends" i would like to say this: i am not a Naive little boy who just takes one opinion, I am someone who reads books in libraries, listens to NPR Radio and strives for a better understanding of life. I appreciate both sides of an opinion but choose my own. I even at the age of 15 went door to door campainging for John Kerry, i did this on my own accord not on someone else telling me to.

Thank you for you comments shinsengumi, but do not Judge who you do not know. Sorry to inconvenence you.
