shiningdays-saann!
i've just dropped by here because i saw your gallery and it is FANTASTIC xD
lol
it's really different / unique and colorful~
also, i absolute agree 100% agree about ipod walls... although there are SOME
exceptions.. ;p
they're so cliche these days it's not even funny anymore... *o* heehee <33
btw, i adore your id <3333
Quote by shiningdayswow. and here i
was expecting to click and find some filter-whore wall. instead, i find a wall
gone slightly mad D
i can't quite comprehend what's going on here and i'm quite fine with that, it
seems. it's a tad bit too busy for me. i agree with revan on the white parts;
there's quite oblong shapes in the middle of the wall that seem oddly pixelated
and that stand out in a bad way from the rest.
good use of colour and an interesting wall.
maybe if i put some nice character, will be no look so weird!
Quote by shiningdaysi was gonna
comment on this at session zero at AP, but i guess i'll do it here~
the background seems a bit grainy in contrast with the vector (which was done
quite skillfully) and one almost wants the glow of the city to be white and not
a slight yellow as it is; but other than that a charming wallpaper.
Thanks for commenting, doesn't really matter where;)
It's true, the contrast between the background and the character is a little
stark, but so far I haven't been able to find a way of texturing it without
having it look "too textured" (does that make sense?... finals
everyone..) Actually, the glow was white in the beginning. But it was kind of
too bright for me, and felt a lot colder than I wanted it to be, so I changed it
to a slight yellow.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the nice comment!

Watch Mushishi. :P
haha, well I loved the first anime you recommended me, you loved BECK, and we
both loved kino. Chances are MT will be bombarded with walls from this
"Mushishi" if our tastes meet on it as well.

AND I'LL CLOCK IT ANYWHO D:: *cries for E7-obsession leading to spoilers* man, i
should just cave and watch the raws, i can handle the japanese anywho..
D:
(oh god the spoilerific pain. BUT IT'S OKAY!)
not really a fan of the straight lines going across the piece in places (the
ones on diagonals too) but overall i really like it - there's such an eerie
feeling to the entire wallpaper. the text could have been more.. tactfully? done
i think but there's good composition here.
ooomg the spoilers are eating me alive BUT I CAN'T STOP LOOKING
I think this is one of those walls where, no matter the simplicity, you can't
stop looking. the more i stare the more i like...
+favs.
Thanks a lot for the comment and fav! Im glad you like it so much, and since you
like it so much and made comment about the text not being quite right...I
updated it with what striket had commented on about the lensflare reflection and
moved the text around as well, so here's a freebie if you like here
Keep in mind this is the largest version I made so you can resize it to whatever
your needs! Seeya!

ICK! My bad dude, photoshop makes things a LOT brighter than they are really,
the 3rd version which I gave you was WAYYY to dark. So I went back to the
version you fav'd but added the missing lensflare reflection to it!
Quote by shiningdaysmmm; high style
vectoring at its finiest this is a
marvelously done wall; you have a way with vector art that most people don't.
the only thing i'm wondering is what that blue shape in the bottom (with all the
grays) is; it's a bit out of place; but really this wall is fabulous.
composition and style are great, the pink and gray are fun and flirty together.
well done and +fav ^_^
thx a lot for this comment, the first
I see for the blue sharpe, maybe a little mistake ^^
thx for the fav too
bybye and cya arround !
hahaha! yeah. i like the l337 language but it gets annoying fast. i stick to
regular english. ^_^
i could be wrong, but i'd think in a profession like web-design the people who
want you to design their pages would want something new/original/ innovative.
but like i said, i could be wrong. you're the professional, not me. ^_^ but as
they say, if it ain't broke...don't fix it. right? in summary i don't see a
problem with sticking to what you know. i just find it fun to venture out of
'the box' sometimes. anyway, yeah i like the wall, and your other works. keep it
up.
Quote by shiningdayshmmm... i dunno
about the texture on the snow (it seems a bit jarring in such a soft wallpaper)
but other than that it's cute.. i like the bunnies D
Thanks for the comment....... the texture.... from a
scan ^____^
*Have a nice day*
Quote by shiningdaysi like it. Leiji
has wonderful flow in his work and you reflected that nicely.
this is probably one of the more interesting vectors i've seen in a
while.
Hello shiningdays,
yes... Leiji always combines his characters with their surroundings... and I
like that very much and tried to capture it in my wallpaper as well. I'm happy
that you like the vector... So thanks
for taking the time to comment on my wallpaper. I appreciate it! Take care and
see you around!
Thanks very much for the highlight on Sickness/Lover - having been here for just
over a month and having two highlights under my belt is a bit surprising but i'm
not complaning
I'm glad you liked the way the scan was treated; i wasn't quite sure what to do
with it all (the scan's ultra-busy) so i just kinda messed around
so yeah :3 thanks and happy camping!
Hey no problem! In fact
Revan told me that if I hadn't highlighted it then he would've
It was really quite impressive how you handled the scan, because it's not an
easy one to wall. That's exactly the kind of beautiful and original imagery that
I love to see, but so rarely gets used in wallpapers... so if anything I should
thank you for stirring up a little creativity around here

gosh; what a fabulous wallpaper. i love it for its simplicity and style; and i
like that you didn't really do much to the original manga image (the dot pattern
of manga shading works well for this composition.)
Unique character placement and the balancing effect of the letters works well in
this wall.
fa'ved
Thanx for the comment and fav, i just update the wall, hope you like it now , is more
dark and the text change a little bit, anyway, just came here to say that ^^.
the vector is skillfully done; fun and playful, colourful and great, everything
a wall should be. i don't particularly like the poping-out-ness of the eye from
the rest of the wall but w/e, the rest is so great that it's all good. great job
That eye was the most vital point for me but whatever...
Glad you like the rest
I realised that you are completely right about the quality of the scan I modded
in Hippie Hardcore, so updated it in better quality. I was only able to do minor
improovements, you might still want to check it out if its really
better...
i enjoy how you filled the text with some FLCL art; i like the dots in the
background; i like the vector (and mamimi in general) and i like the
simplicity.
Just came here to say that im becoming fan of your work since i see the Holland
wall in the front page, really like your style, hope you dont mind if i add you
to my WL.
Btw, your last exile wall is part of the AWR gallery, i really like the style
and concept of it, thanx for trying something different in this old
community.
Quote by shiningdaysthe test needs
some work; as mentioned above it's a little too simple, too unincorporated into
what otherwise is a great wallpaper. Again, as mentioned above (by BluSake);
this s an extremely striking wallpaper; positioning of Integra anywhere but the
center would have been sheer folly; and the trees flank her so perfectly that it
almost seems as if everything was one image - a desirable effect in a wall like
this. everything but the text is perfect; really. perhaps adding a slight
texture over the text and an outer glow would work well in such a wall.
Fav'ed
Thanks for the comment and fav on "Integra"! I'll see what I can do
about the text, though that won't be much since I suck at working with text
Quote by shiningdaysi really like it.
such a small res; but w/e, it's great anywho
the use of texture and such light colours really works well in this piece. the
contrast between the overall blue/green (cold) feel of the wallpaper and the
pink of her blush and smile also work really well together to accentuate her
cute little smile ^_^ there are few people, i think, who can use colour contrast
without making it look ugly and clashing. Well done on this wall, and i do
beleive i'll be faving it
*hugs* Thanks! :3 <3 Btw, mind if I add you to my watchlist? Because your
walls're blinding me to death <3
it's nice that you kept the original motion of the image (the fishbowl
perspective is what i'm mainly talking about here); since, as you mention, the
scan is such a cool one. i like the use of the wanted posters, but the one in
the veeery front seems a bit.. flat? oh well, it's all good. i dunno about the
use of the dup'ed layer + blur around luffy and the horn, i thin kthe wall could
have done without it, but overall, very nice
Thanks for the comment on "Arabasta Desert"! I'll see if I can make
that poster less flat-looking

mhmm mhhm, I was dragged down to the communist paradise. ^_^
actually, I don't like the color of the text either but I tried so many damn options and was utterly disatisfied with them that I gave up on that one.
P.S. you do have to watch it...its..its just so...good.
