hoo.. it's kinda painful to write a summary since watching that OVA was so
bad... but anyway...
First we get a bunch of stupid recaps for the eps before 50, while Rey narrates
about humans and for some reason, sounds like he makes a reference to Adam and
Eve. Then Cagalli goes telling Meyrin to look after Athrun, whether or not they
used animation from Phase 46, I don't care. Kira then launches followed by
Athrun, Rey and Shinn. Rey then says that he can't forgive Kira's existance.
Yay.
Then we get a crappy opening using the Vestige song! Sure the new scenes are
nice... but there's not a lot of new animation, and the scenes barely even
animate. Most of them are from previous OPs and they look horrible trying to
match the song, IMO.
And zomg we enter the battle!
Shinn takes animation from Phases 38 and 42, and attacks Kira! Oho! But Kira
dodges and takes animation from Phase 42 and launches a counter attack! But Rey,
using "new" animation attacks Kira! Athrun attacks back and we enter
Phase Final PLUS! Then the Orbies go saying how bad their situation is, even
though I thought they looked pretty fine to me... Animation from Phase 37 and up
are used for the battle between the 4 gundams and their lines are fixed up,
which is good. It's still pretty much the same thing though.
Athrun tells Shinn to stop, saying he doesn't want to fight him. He tells him
this isn't the kind of strength Shinn wanted. Shinn tells him he understands
what he's trying to say, but he still thinks the world cannot remain unchanged.
Athrun tells him to cut the crap, and still slices up his sword. But Shinn
doesn't go "WHY AM I LOSING TO YOU?!?" instead he goes "Shit...
why are you here...? Stop interfering!" And then after some lame dialogue
exchanges, Shinn snaps and charges at Athrun, Luna jumps in the way, Shinn still
gets the flashback of Mayu and Stellar but this time he shouts their names
before screaming "STOP IT!". Athrun still takes him out... but for
some reason when he's taken out, we see a crying and fading Shinn spirit
thingy...
After that... Athrun pwns the Minerva with the help of the shitty ship Archangel
who thought they were playing Starfox and barrel-rolled the ship. Oh wait...
they did that in Phase 50 as well. How nice.
Kira invades the fortress as usual and Athrun goes in along with him... but the
only thing Athrun says is "Rey..." and "Gladys Kancho..."
and BOOM! Down goes teh Messiah...
And wow... Lacus goes talking again and everyone just listens to her cuz they
didn't even know what they were fighting for and have no reason to continue...
THE END OF THE BATTLE! YAY! =D
...Hellz no...
Anyway... after that Athrun picks up Lunamaria and Shinn (OMG how the hell did
you manage to remember that, Fukuda?) and Shinn goes to the grave... he doesn't
even say a thing to Meyrin and Athrun about the killing thing. All Lunamaria
does is talk a bit to Shinn and smile at Meyrin... and then Kira comes in, gives
Shinn a few flashbacks about Phase 34 and Phase 8 and shakes Shinn's hand. He
doesn't say much at all, which is pretty lame, considering all they've been
through. All Kira says is
Kira: *tries to shake's Shinn's hands* Can't I?
Shinn: *remembers Killing him* Um... um... but... I...
Kira: Even if it trampled over, we will replant them.
Shinn: *remembers Phase 8 and cries* Yes. *shakes Kira's hand*
TA-DA! THE END!
Oh yea and some pointless animation after the credits too about Cagalli and
Lacus.
