Well you got it right I take some years of rest and enjoyment between each tattoo which can be hard sometimes since it becomes very addictive, I know friends that weren't able to resist and they had many tattoos done in no time. Also each time I go for something bigger because with the previous one I get used to the size and often tend to see them as little as time passes by... but also each time I want something better and more detailed and for that it really helps the size because it can be worked much more.

And the truth is that I wouldn't like to have all my body covered with tattoos, but who knows? maybe I could change my mind later on, but for now the plan is to get Quetzalcoatl done and get something for my left arm, and then stop for some years and see if I feel that I want more or I can settle with those.

LOL I guess it could be har to pronuciate Quetzalcoatl for the first time... its formed by 2 words: Quetzal (that is a green bird with a really long tail, I believe the still populate somewhere in Central America) and coatl (which in ancient aztec language means snake), but the pronounciation is ketzalcoatl. It is portrayed as a snake with feathers behind the head most of the times, the important is that it has a snake body the feather decoration differs very much.

Regarding pain, well... it hurts, but it depends very much on the size and place of the tattoo, if you do a small thin on your back (not the spine) then it doesn't really hurt much. However if you do it in places where the skin is thin (for example the neck) or near the bones (like the ankles) then the pain is quite considerable. The other thing that plays a roll is the since, since large areas to be tattooed now are done with magnum tattoing machines than can hold up to 18 needles at the same time, for isntants if you do a rather big tribal design that has big black areas then no matter where the tatto is getting done the filling up will hurt very much, but what can I say? even though I do not enjoy pain at all, I'm always willing to put up with it because it is really worth it to me. Besides, women tolerate much more pain than men.

The time it takes also depends on the size of the tattoed being done, but overall it does take quite some time, mine will take 4 sessions to finish, I've already been to my second so to more to go . The first session which was the design of the head and most of the shading work took up to 4 hours. The second session involved finishing up the head completely and the designing and preshading of the complete body, almost another 4 hours and for the upcoming session about 70% of the body should be finished up so it'll be the longest and most fearfull of them all... I'm guessing it'll take more than 5 hours and just to start thinking about it I'm already hurting . But for smaller things it could take like a couple of hours and be completely finished.

Well that could be a weird thing to do but you can investigate what kind of inks they use and in other place find out if you are alergic to them... truth be told, unless you have a very severe skin illness or a problem with coagulating blood there should not be a problem, because tattoos are pretty much scars with ink

Well I bought an Opel Astra Hatchback dark grey. It's got leather seats, sunroof, it's automatic (traffic around here makes it pretty bothersome to drive standard) and well I really like it, it's got some nice features.

It's true that not only occidental religions have a dirty view towards sexuality, but in Budhism and Induism it's rather different and I guess that al realigions derived from Cristianism are the ones that satanize sexuality the most.

But you see, though I agree that religions were created by men I still fail to see the convinience for the male gender... everyone is perjuticated by those views towards sexuality, I mean I'm not talking only about women's virginity but the imposed guilt when having a sexual encounter... that is even for all men or women and that's why I think is a loss because we should all be able to enjoy our bodies.

I see your point, but for me fanatism does invlove going one step further that what anyone with a bit of common sense would realize is not apropiate. So one can be very passionate for things but the moment it turns into something so obsesive and blinding it becomes fanatism, the example I use for religion and auto-punishing themselves seems like going one step too many. And I can see what you'll try to reply on this... tattoos for me, for some it may seem something out of any reasoning to do and yes it may be considered as a sort of fanatism, because it involves me taking a passion one step further by cosciously inflicting pain to myself for another purpose. But the thing is that I do meassure and don't become blinded by it and there for me is the main difference, I realize the consecuences of me getting them and willing to deal with them.

But I refer to establishing acomplishable limits bound within some kind of reality, I'll use a silly example... you cannot set as a goal to grow wings so you can fly, but a more acomplishable idea would be to be the one able to build attachable wings so you can fly. You know, we faced a whole month of office rebuilding, so I was at home... internet deprived... bored... and very miserable. I'm finally back! Woohoo! We are making pies but not the ones that is like cakes . . . they are with cheese or meet and we are hidding a coing in the pie . . . and we believe that the one that finds the coin is the lucky one of the year. We cut the 2 pies on the New Year eve one at the afternoon when the children sings around and the other one at the 12:00 o'clock . . .

Ok, so let's see how I explain this. Cuba is not a very religious country, so to speak, or maybe we have too many different religions, not all of them Catholic based. And since X-mas celebration is a reliegious one, you can say some people celebrate it and some don't. I belong to the completely non-religious part, so for me and my family, it's all a get together party to celebrate... the fact that we have some days off and can get together? Yeah, something like that.
As for traditional dishes, we have a lot of them, but I think the most famous is what we call "congris", a delicious mix of rice and beans. Other than that, we usually eat dishes made of pork in this days... the most popular (and yummy) is taking a not so big pig, stuff it with rice and beans and rost it in a stake, so that the rice and beans cook slowly inside the animal with it's own grease and stuff. come to think about, I'm really bad in describing this kind of things... not enough food vocabulary, lol. I'll have to work on that.

Hum... most of people are like that, I think. We are all selfish in our own ways, and even if some people would never take advantage of other's disgrace, some will, cause that's the way human beings are. However, I find kinda difficult to follow your reasoning cause I tend to think the exact oppossite. That is, I always think about the bad side in people, not the good one, so I guess no one would ever call me naive. Maybe I've been told that I'm too harsh to judge people, but naive, never. To give you a very easy and understandable example, my husband spent five years (yeah, 5) asking me to marry him. And I spent those same five years thinking if he was worth it. Yup... I have 4 tattoos... the 4th is still in progress though.

Eto... let's see, my first tattoo is a black sun with a sad face. I got it when I was 18 but it's a cover up for one crappy tattoo I had done when I was 16 (some bizarre line scratches). The second tattoo i got was when I turned 23 a tribal bracelet around my right leg, that one was a bit bigger then my third came when I was 26, a chinese dragon on my left leg with a kanji, it goes from behind my knee down to my anckle. The fourth one is the one I'm doing right now and it's Quetzalcoatl [Reference: Quetzalcoatl was a crature of the aztec mythology, the Sun God... it was portrayed with a feathered snake. Historians believe that it was originated because the Vikings had arrived to the Americas before the Spanish], now the design is the biggest so far, the head is on my right shoulder and the body goes through my back and right next to my neck (on the left side) goes a bit downwards to my chest

Regarding dangers out of allergies, I don't know... it really depends so you should consult that with the apropiate person like a dermathologist, because you may have an allergy to the ink used.

I'm glad of it because the things that I scan are in good quality, so I don't have to clean part etc (except when I have to assemble many pages but this is another problem), I hope that I'll scan more things for MT

And, happy new year! I wanted to answer to your post last week, but I couldn't find the quick reply box no kiddin! I hope you weren't too lonely for the new year's eve, even though I spent this day with my cousin and her friends (it was decided at the last minute...when I say I don't really know where I'll psend NYE lol) but as they were older so it was a kind boring for me, so I decided to spend new year's eve with youngsters like me or alone in front of my lonely tv (I would like in your town with good red wine but it'll be difficult^^). The only fun thing was my drunken brother and me trying to drive him back at house with his ù$'"/+- of car in the mist...Damn weather!

But I didn't drink red wine, my town makes red wine but it's not so good, so it was Champagne and white wine called "Sauternes" (very very good, but not the kind of wine you can drink every day because of the price, unluckyly ;___;)
And to eat tartiflette you should go skiing in the "Alpes", this is the good region to eat that, but the price is quite high for a stinking cheese, so be careful =___=

And don't worry, for sure this year will be better than 2005, because...because...yeah...because we decided it! yoooosh!*hugs back Ithnadml*
