I saw your comment in DarkPrinces thread and just had to reply in
person.
It is illegal to download Fansubs so in that respect you are absolutely correct.
However, The Japanese producers do not actually lose any money from fansubs
and so don't mind their production. They have already made thier money by
selling their anime to the Japanese TV studios.
The main reason a fansub becomes illegal is American Licensing. Once an Anime
is licensed the company in America that licensed it stands to lose money if the
Fansubs are available. Most subbing groups remove the file from their servers
once the series is licensed.
i have seen at least one producer quoted as saying he views fansubs as free
advertising. And that he has no problem and indeed the japanese production
studios as a group see no problem with fansubs as long as no profit is made from
them.
Main reason I wanted to let you know this is because some shows take years to
completely release. Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid is currently airing on
Japanese TV and will probably only be available on DVD in another 1 to 3 years.
And I probably will buy it when it releases. And if you intend to buy the
original anyway their is no reason why you shouldn't enjoy the series
now.
I disagree with your comment that the Producers lose money, as I said above the
producers have already made thier money, They make no money from DVD's what so
ever. The american licensers make money from DVD's, From one point of view I
want to have originals so I do buy them and if the American companies lose too
much money they may stop purchasing the Licenses. But from another point of view
I don't actually care about american licencing profits.

Hey there screenlooker. It's a long story about the Osaka cover... I took it
down because I wanted to have my "newer" works in my gallery. If I
have time in the future I'll put it back up. And yeah, so far what's on the

i dont have a link but the ps3 is incredible
i have seen 30 minutes of previews and the graphics are the most amazing thing i
have ever seen
it has two nvidia 7800 whatevers and is capable of 1080p
most dvds are 480i and xbox is 480p at best i think
it might even have linux
it has wifi and can play just about any disk
6 usb ports
wireless controllers
and so many other awesome things
it is the most incredible system i have ever seen
besides, bungie hasnt promised that they will release halo 3 in spring

in my job position I get to check the systems out personally =)
but besides all that, they want opinions and I'm giving them mine, such as the
reasons I don't like that subject or the reasons why I do, doesn't mean they'll
think the same.
and I have news for you the new PS3 isn't going to be as good as the websites I
mean the community sites are putting them you have to look into the depths of
the systems and specs mate and for their little own made processor their putting
in the system isn't as stable as they wanted that's why Mac turned it
down.

and as for the videos and community sites don't really listen to them when it
come to comparing the systems go to the systems sites and see the specs
there.
also I think it is very disappointing that they promised alot of things in E3
and recently found out that they can not fulfill those things because of the
cost budget so now the PS3 is not going to have alot of the things they promised
in the E3 kinda like the patch that EA put out for BF2 how it had the memory
leak makes you not want to download another patch from them unless you have
comfirmation thats it legite, its the same with Sony your not sure if you want
to listen to the crap anymore about them saying they are going to this and what
they can't do it, it is very disappointing especially in the Sony name.
and there is alot of other things(too much to type right now)I would be happy to
share with you if you'd like, but theres something to think about =)
