I see that you put now the background picture in your layout. ^__^ It looks very nice.
You can make the table/box backgrounds transparent. Just leave the textbox in 'Box Background' blank. Don't enter any value in it. And also in the 'Quote Background' if you want to make it transparent too.

You can put a background in your userpage by using firefox. Don't use internet explorer in uploading the pictures!!
You can read this forum thread by exentric to understand customizing the layout:
Custom Userpage Layout Tutorial
Be sure to read it.

I've seen that your guestbook doesn't show up using internet explorer... Me too it happened to me. But I can see your guestbook in firefox. ^^
