A vector is an imitation of an image, such as a scan, to improve the quality.
The best program to use for vectoring is Adobe Illustrator, though you can use
Photoshop. When creating vectors in Photoshop, you're going to come close to the
colors of the scan and use the Pen tool to create those colors on different
layers. Adobe Illustrator is better in that the Pen tool is more versatile, so
the line appears smoother. There are a few threads in the forum about vectors,
but this is the extent to which I can provide information. You can use the
Search box for "vector" and you should get some results. I hope,
however, that this helps you out. Take care.
