when I saw that "chika pose" in the anime I thought it would make a
great wallpaper...hehehe....
It seems like I wasn't the only one who thought so eh...hehehe...
your vector works are great!
ja...ganbatte neh...
Quote: ammm..that won't be
easy...lest's see...
firstly, a good manga should have nice drawings.that's very important for me
aaand...i definitely don't want to read another manga with "love at work
and men in suits".it's like reading the same thing all over again.and i
could swear they all have the same style!:hmpf:
light stories, cheerful and mysterious guys, passion and powerful feelings, and so
on and so on
i don't think you understand anything from this but
if you will make me a list i'll love u forever!
I compiled the list in the order of artist. These are just a few that i mostly
read from.
Fuwa Shinri - great story and art. She
draws really good man in suit stories. Check out Zettai Unmei Houteishiki,
Tsumasaki ni Kiss (Side Story), Gravity Eyes (Side Story).
Hashida Yukari - i like her work a lot,
veru humorous. "Waru" is a pretty fun read. But I think you will like
chapter one of "Kimi no Koe ga Kikitai" because the story has a good
twist.
Ike Reibun - very pretty art work. Try
Aoiro Keiyaku, done by Nakama.
KAWAI Touko - light, good story.
"Cut" is my fav because it's a bit angst. A lot of ppl like
"Loveholic". Mochi*Mochi - an old
scanlation group, but they have some really good works.
Mishima Kazuhiko - cute and very funnt
stories! Try "Love Neco"
Tasukawa Kazuto - A lot of ppl like her
work because it's very detailed and GORGEOUS.
Yamada Yugi - she writes the best stories
ever! It's one of those artist that you over look the art work and just focuses
on the story. Attractive
Fascinante has a good amout of her work. "Yume wo Miru Hima mo
Nai" is one of my favs. It's about two guys wanting to be become pilots.
you can get this at Nakama's
forum
YAMAGISHI Hokuto - good art, try
"wild fangs", "wild flower" is still on going.
YAMAKAMI Riyu - writes more angst
stories. Her style has improved a lot.
I hope you read "Love Mode" because it's the BEST BL story EVER!
Some popular artist: Kisragi Hirotaka, Takanaga Hinako, Kotobuki Tarako (sex
pistol), Shimizu Yuki(Ze), Sakuragi Yaya, Kanbe Akira(Freezing Flame series),
Oki Mamiya, SUGIURA Shiho (Silver Diamond)
If you have problem finding some of them, let me know and I'll see what I can
do.
Quote: how about the anime?did u
see it?
and talking about anime and manga, if there are series that are both anime and
manga what do you prefer: reading the manga first or watching the anime?
Actually I am not that into anime at all. lols. I am a manga fan from head to
toe. I would always prefer manga because it's where the origin and heart of the
story comes from.
But I do give anime a try from time to time. Nana & Trinity Blood are the
two I have seen that are quiet popular. I also saw one called Heat Guy J, which
is a really under rated anime.
I usually don't go for the hype/popular series because i like something that no
one has heard of. But I am glad that Junjou Romantica can bring in new fans of
BL even though the manga series has been out for so long and ppl didn't notice
it until the anime.
With anime, i rather prefer movies. Arashi no Yoru ni is the most current one i
have seen and it's SO GOOD. An forbidden story about wolf and goat. There's a
hint of boy love theme. lols.
I have 2 days of morning classes as well and it lasts till 9 at night. I get
really worn out during those two days.
Good luck with classes
I hope to talk to you soon.

hi, how's it going?
Now it's my turn to apologize for the late reply. My classes just started a week
ago, so I am still trying to get use to the schedule.
Quote: i'm always after new
things.of course, after i read a good manga i'll look for other mangas from the
same author i can't even remember most of the mangaka's alias.good thing that
at mangatraders.com all i have to do is "push a button" and i get the
list of all the works of a mangaka
I use Baka-Updates to
keep track of releases. It comes in really handy because they actually put an
icon of the manga you're reading next to the new releases, so you will never
miss it.
Quote: btw i recently found a
manga, i haven't read it yet but it seems good and it's a bit similar to nanao's
style.u can check it out if u want: http://www.mangatraders.com/manga/series/3822
what have u read lately?recommend me something.i'm rea~ly bored
Ah, SADAHIRO Mika....*blushes* There is only one word to describe her work,
"hardcore". You'll find at least one H-scene in each chapter. The
relationship development kinda makes you question about cheating, is it possible
to stay with a person after they had sex with another person, etc. There is a
lot of that in her work where the uke or seme have sex with another person or
rape....
I have read a lot over the years and as of now, I am kinda in this retreat
phrase from manga in general. But I would definitely recommend most of
Dangerous-Pleasure's releases, they have really good quality manga. One of the
best scanlation group out there right now. very consistent with their releases.
But if you give me what type of manga you like to read, i can compile a list for
you.
Quote: omg i just love watercolor
artbooks!i've been collecting a lot of artbooks lately (on my computer of
course.if u can't afford them then, trust me i don't even dream of owning one
).
i'm a photoaddict i have like 8 thousand pictures and there's more to come .what's
ur favorite artist?
If you like watercolor, you should check out ENO on MT. She's my favorite
chinese water color artist so far. Very original works.
but recently I have gotten into a lot of painters that have incorporated manga
style into their work:
Audrey-Kawasaki - she is my
favorite so far. I love her girls, very sensual.
Aya Kato - you
can also find her gallery here on MT. Love her style.
Stina Persson - I
like the way she blends the colors.
I am really glad that you liked Tangka & Shel's work. I really want to
introduce more artist to MT. ^^
I haven't read nabari no ou. It's really hard for me to start a long series. I
usually wait till it completed scanlated. The series seems really
popular.
Quote: just as i thought.nanao's
mangas always make me laugh.i have no idea why :X
lols, that's why i love her work so much. Every time I read her work, you'll see
me grinning at my computer screen like an idiot. lols
Quote: are u influenced by such
things when reading a manga?like mangaka's gender or personality?
I assume most of the yaoi mangaka are female. (I can't tell by the name as well.
)
not at all. sex got nothing to do with my preferences. Though sometimes, it's
nice to see yaoi in a man's eyes. There are a few male yaoi mangaka out there.
Ishihara Satoru, Sakura Haiji, KUJOU Aoi are just a few. But it's really hard to
tell because a lot of mangaka write under alias, so there is no WAY to really
tell unless specified.
But I do like to read manga according to mangaka. However, I still like to try
out new mangaka I have never read before.
I can't wait to read Silence when it's completely finished. *sigh* it looks very
good. I am so tempted to read it. lols
I posted the stuff I got on Yaoi Heaven.
I can't really afford Japanese artbooks, so I bought a lot of artbooks by
chinese artist. I have come to like them a lot because most of them are done in
watercolor.
don't worry about the late reply. I'll be sure to comment on your work when I
have more time.
Quote: Naono Bohra ?hmm...i don't
really like his works .sorry, i don't want to offend u or anything, but his style is just
too...rough.i mean, even the uke looks like one of those bodyguards that go to
the gym everyday and can carry his 10 big-breasted-girlfriends with one arm i've
never see a style that resembles Nanao's
what's your favorite Nanao manga?i'll read it if i haven't read it yet and maybe
i'll even change my mind.i'm very open minded with this kind of things
Not at all. We all have diff. taste, so I like to hear what you have to say.
Naono-sensei is a she. ^^
I actually have read every scanlated work by her. Three Wolf's Mountain was very
memorable because it was those first manga.
You know, she actually did a oneshot where the uke was a bit chubby. You can get
it here: http://www.aarinfantasy.com/scanstaff/projects/sin_is_above_skin_level/
To me, i like the way she pays so much attention to the details and tone of the
body. But it's the story that makes me fall in love with her work.
Quote: i go for mangas with a
more...how should i put it...seductive style and a heartwarming story.that's why
MINASE Masara is my favorite.was.is.i don't even know.like i said-open minded
'cause there are others on my "hot" list just waiting to be eaten
I have been reading her work also. But she's those hit or miss mangaka for me
because her story isn't always that good. But her boys is VERY pretty.
Quote: Takamiya Azuma caught my
attention with Silence
and i have YAMAGATA Satomi's manga Fake Fur and the sequel Manic Love. the last
ones were my birthday present from myself hehee~
tasty!
i can't wait for Christmas to come
Oooo....i haven't read Silence yet, but I'm planning to because it's still
unfinished (I like to read a series when it's completely scanlated. I hate
waiting.) I like Takamiya's boys a lot. Her style is so gentle and soft. You can
expect some pretty scans by her during Yaoi Heaven's 2nd Anniversary.
Lucky you to own the two manga. ^^
Christmas is coming early for me. I am getting a lot of stuff I ordered last
year. It's been a long wait.
Quote: wow i didn't really expect
u to actually like it
and it looks like i didn't have to tell u how good Ken's drawings are.u already
knew
i'm touched
thx a lot
oh,and u are really lucky to have Boys Next Door as your first yaoi manga.it's
very good
no wonder u became addicted
I love a good story in yaoi, especially angst ones. Inariya Fusanosuke is my fav
angst yaoi mangaka.
Homerun Ken have a very specific style that was very hard to forget. Besides, i
always like her boys. They're just so adorable!
lols, yes, the first few years of yaoi was really crazy and there are still a
lot of artist I haven't read. It never ends. ^^
Any artist that you really like?
I am a Naono-holic. Naono Bohra has become my all time favor mangaka. I love her
humor and style. So if I brag too much about her, please let me know.
Quote: i replied here because i
really want to personally recommend you "I Want to Become Your
Bird"
i know it's not as yaoi as it is more shounen-ai but it's my favorite and it
would mean a lot to me if you'd read it
it's a manga full of feelings and it's one of the first yaoi manga that i've
read
hmm...first yaoi manga, the first one is always so memorable (mine was Boy Next
Door by Kaori Yuki).
I did read this one a long time ago. But it was very memorable, i still remember
parts of the story because like you said, the story is so full of pure emotions
(and lots of angst). This manga is actually one of my fav Homerun Ken's work.
Her boys always have these pretty eyes and eye lashes. ^^
I am a bit on the downlow with new yaoi releases these days. i should really
revisit some older manga like I Want to be Your Bird. *sigh* I really do miss
the story a lot. So thanx you for remind me this beautiful manga. ^^
