Quote by yothsothgothHow old is this
girl? 17-18?
How old is the professor?
No offence, but most people don't know who they are or what their aspirations
are until they're around 24-25 years old. The friend needs to seek proper
counseling as might the teacher...
I don't know the entire situation... did she come on to him or he come on to
her... ? That can be a dangerous as well as illegal situation for them. She
needs to get out of that relationship while she can. u_u
Tell her that you don't want her to get hurt. Older guys (10 years +) going out
with a much younger girl I've only known them to only want sex out of the
relationship. Its awful... she really needs to find someone else... at least ask
a counselor or something.
I just worry that it might be too late or that she's infactuated with the guy.
What if they break up... does she get a losing grade?! Its a bad
idea.... the whole thing. You might want to consider telling someone... for her
safety at the least. If its not such a big deal, why did she tell you to not
tell anyone? You shouldn't get in trouble for dating anyone... and you shouldn't
keep something like that a secret...

I will say my mom was 17 and my dad was 29 when they got married... so,
sometimes the difference in age can be okay... but I'm still a little weirded
out about how young my mom was and how much older my dad was. He treated her
like crap for many years, but now he's a much better person... though he still
has room for improvements.
I could be wrong -
she might truely be in love... but in love and in lust are completely different!
She's underage... which is the main reason I'm against it...
He's like 40ish now...
I've known my share of bright girls with bright futures getting a crappy life
because they fell in love and threw caution to the wind, which is reason number
two why I got involve...
Anyways, it's over now... Problem solved. I threw my caution, along with most of
my emotion and integrity, away. She won't be seeing him, and if he wants to stay
healthy, he'll keep himself a good wide distance away from her...
All's well that ends well, I guess... Not for me though...
Sorry that you have to see what happened between your mom and dad...
Unfortunately I didn't get your message, although I hope you got the one that I
sent earlier ^^. It's after all coming to this that it's easier to communicate
through letters ;]
Quote by jasmint285I can't go to your
wedding but can I add you to my friendlist?
Sure!
You've always been such a nice person when I see what you say to everyone in the
forums... I don't know why we weren't on each other's friendslist a long time
ago!
awww...thanks for the compliment...^^
my sincerest wishes on your wedding and hope its a lovely and unforgettable
one... ^^
I apologise for not saying a word for so long, but I have been quite busy
lately. No time to chill .
Fortunately I got your letter, and the invitation in it. I am affraid I will not
be able to attend, but who knows what might happen . I am in
the process of writing a reply, and will try to send it soon.
Now, what have been keeping me busy... Well, I dunno how much time you have to
read it, so I will try to keep it short.
Where to begin? Maybe with usual palladin stuff - I am still all over the city
helping everyone who needs it. I had even more to do since the organization I'm
in got new headquarters. And then, we had the culture festival, and we also had
to prepare performance for it. With three people, twenty pounds in our pocket
and two weeks of time . Setting
aside the normal promotion and everything for the festival itself . I also
given some lessons of Polish.
Well, so much for free time . I hope
you have more of it and that you are well. I don't know if you got it, but just
under my last GB entry I written some details about the banner. I am still
learning some things for it, but will make it at some point. Well, anyway, I
will see you around, Ja ne .

You're very welcome. I think many people in the religion forum are quite
hostile, so it can be scary in there. I was even called a liar for saying to
someone that 'he cannot have proof that God exists because he has no faith'. For
many religions, faith is the basis of belief and is the proof for their
belief... so if you have no faith, you'll never have proof in that sense. Right?
(It makes sense to me but the guy either didn't read it or didn't care about
others thoughts on the matter.) Its one thing to disagree or to not read it, but
to flat out call someone a liar... its rather weak. I asked the guy why he even
made a thread about something that he wasn't going to be open minded about or
listen to what others were going to say.
I believe that 'you can't win them all, but winning isn't the point... its
getting that point across that matters.' They say "a narrow mind has a
broad tongue"... I guess I should just get over it.
I may not agree with everything that you've stated in your replies personally,
but whether or not I agree with you... you have still stated your point clearly
(unlike 90% of the responses there). That's very important. I also appreciate
someone actually giving the topics some thought while being rational about it.
Anyways, that's my speil.
Oh, if you're interested in having other things posted in your guestbook besides
your past mishap... let me know.
I'm sure I can hook you up with something random to brighten your day... if
you're not interested, no worries. ^^
Take care, have a nice evening, and see you in the
forums.
The hostility is common for such topics on forums. I get what you are saying
though about making thought out and reasonable points and listening to others
arguments and trying to understand them, whether you agree with them or not. One
reason I stayed at another forum for a while instead of coming back here was I
found a few people whom, although we disagreed on many issues, both sides were
trying to make reasonable points and appreciated that the other side had at
least put some thought into it. We would often rebuke our own sides for ignoring
what the other side was actually saying if such a situation arose.
I guess while you've mentioned it though, I should say that although for some
faith is the basis and proof of belief, that is not the case in all religions,
nor is it always the case within those that sometimes it is the case. You might
want to be careful with the wording there, you walk a tricky line, since it
could almost be interpreted as "it is true because I believe it is
true", although I don't think that was the point you were trying to make.
In any case, you might find Descartes "Proof of God" interesting,
since for him, he became an atheist (lack of faith), and denied everything in
general in his philosophy (lack of trust or faith in anything), before building
up what he could again (I don't think he gets much beyond a certainty that he
himself exists as a thinking being and that God exists, though).
Quote by yothsothgothFor being one
of the most well spoken and most rational people who post in the religion forum,
I'm shocked that you have so few guestbook posts. Not that it matters since you
don't know me and I'm some random person on the internet, but I just wanted to
tell you that its refreshing to see someone state their point clearly in that
forum without ranting. It gets so hostile in there that its difficult to keep
your composure after awhile. Thanks for being 'a breath of fresh air' in the
forum and I look forward to your future posts.
BTW: If you'd like me to take this post off of your guestbook after you read
this, it'd be no problem - just let me know. Thanks
for reading and have a wonderful afternoon.

Thank you. Part of my lack of quotes is likely related to my hiatus of months
at a time. Once that was do to being muted for a while because some people
thought I had done something I didn't, it was eventually cleared up but by that
time I was well situated at another forum that suited me better. Thats probably
most of what IS mentioned in my guest book actually. Another reason is likely
because many didn't like me back when I posted more (not all, but many were
rather hostile toward me), partially because of prejudices against what I was
saying, partially for the very reasons you have complimented me, I suspect
(though I can not say definitely).
Quote by yothsothgothI was wondering

My doujin's not the best, but she is a half-breed.
Somewhat proto version of what I have in mind. Lemme know if not too spicy, but
unfortunately I had problems with finding the proper image of girl...

Maybe it is a bit of my fault here, because I hadn't told you exact details.
Actually, this is very eraly proto version. A complete one is supposed to
feature lot's more of flames engulfing them both, much spiffier texts and I am
trying to make this as if the fiend (about him in a minute) is spawned from
flames coming out of the place where the gun bullet will come out (except there
is no bullet, 'cause it's an Evoker, but about it in a minute as well). And
generally the text with your nick is going to be in another place.
Let's get few other things clear, shall we :] ?
So, the fiend is Indestructible, kind to Disturbed band of what Eddie is to Iron
Maiden. Their brand persona or whatever you call it. It kind of reflects the
aspect of my personality that had awoken more than two years ago. For the best
result, listen to the song "Indestructible" by Disturbed. . (And
"Inside the Fire" while we are at it, just the song without the
musicvideo)
Right. About the Evoker. There is a game called "Persona 3", it's
about a bunch of teenagers saving the wrold by using a power called Persona (in
a big short). So to call Persona, you must 'shoot' yourself in head with an
Evoker. Truly a japanese way of summoning creatures. Anyway, it's briliant and
that's where idea and the girls comes from.
Setting that aside, it is damn good to see you again . Having
said that, I must tell you that you completely not need to worry about any kind
of gifts. Just pure handwriting is the best gift of all, and quite unique in
it's nature, might I add.
About blood giving; I would probably give blood, even for free, if nopt for the
fact that I faint at the sight of my blood.
Ja Ne, my Indestructible Friend, I hope all will be well for you

Hello there, dear friend.
I apologize for the silence from my end of things. Wish that I could say that
things have improved form before, though to be honest things are the same as
always. Thinking about planning a trip sometime in the near future, but I have

I pray that things are well for you too. ...well, at least not too tense for you
to handle. To be honest, I worry as well when I make the calls. Sorry for not
calling; to be honest, I have no excuse to defend my actions. In any event, I
pray that things get better for you. ...I do agree with you that all it takes is
a little faith to keep us strong. Just have to keep having faith that things
will be good, and keep on working towards that goal.
Take care of yourself, and I'll do my best to keep in touch.
