Quote by animangaBad acting...not good.
But I guess it's better than bad singing - you can just shut
your eyes during bad acting, but you can't block out the sound that's telling the story.
The thing that sucks is that it's a heavy acting role, the
character has to go from crying with joy to heartbroken to murderously jealous
in a span of 5 minutes. And this is on top of playing a sweet innocent girl for
the whole show up until that scene. Back when they originally cast the show in
LA they got a Hollywood actress (who coincidentally happened to be an okay
singer) to play the role, you may have heard of her. Jenna Leigh Green, she's
most famous for playing the snobby classmate on Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Well anyway I went again last night and the good actress was back, which made me
happy. Unfortunately it being the day after Valentines Day, nobody wanted to
change seats and me and my friend had to sit 6 rows apart.
In other news I hear they announced the leads for the Australian production, and
one of the male leads is famous from being on Australian Idol. That's not very
encouraging.

I wish, she was totally deadpan

Lol, only two (maybe even only one) American Idol winner has had lasting fame,
and she was the one who won the first season. Lately another of the winners won
a Grammy and has become quite popular again, she might be the one you heard. Her
name's Carrie Underwood and she sings country, which I usually don't like, but I
do love her top single because it's so sassy ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSG4Cml7HXs

Hey hey, just got back from that thing I told you about, kyaa. I sold some of my
old textbooks (and a few of my current ones that we don't use that much ).
Great lot of fun, I've never bought a top-level ticket before, now I know what
I've been missing out on! Not only did I show up all the ushers who thought I
was in the cheap seats, we had complimentary sushi and drinks afterwards and I
met so many people, it was a blast.
I was so sad when I got there, I didn't have my camera with me, and I was
sitting next to the mayor of Ontario who was recording everything on his. And on
top of that, at the after-party my camera ran out of batteries so I only got a
few pictures, and really... I don't look very good in the ones I did get.
I might crop myself out and put some of the pictures on Wikipedia though, it's
tough business getting good shots of celebrities.

Well at least *I* know a bunch of famous people used my pen. Still, I wonder
what I was thinking...

Quote by animangaI think they got all
the best singers, then held another audition with the people that got through to
see who could act the best. But I did get the feeling that some of the best
singers didn't get through because they weren't as...aesthetically pleasing, as
the school would have liked.
But I don't know what the Hell was going
on at the audition my friend was at. When
she told me she was the lead I should have congratulated her but I didn't really
say anything, I was too busy trying not to say "WTF?" in front of her.
That is one major YOU SUCK to recieve! Considering they probably dished out
extra money just to hire professionals. But if
people usually got in because they were pitied and not because they had real
talent, then I guess they wanted something to be really exceptional.
In my school they tailored each audition for the part you
wanted, depending on what they thought was the most important skill for a
particular part.
Anyway, this whole month I'm seeing Wicked every Friday. Fun stuff, all my
friends wanted to go, but they're sold out of seats next to each other. So
I'm taking them one at a time and hoping people will switch seats with us. One
Friday down and no problems switching seats, but we ended up next to the
creepiest guy... total fangirl, and I accidentally let slip that I know most of
the actors by reputation and he just latched on. It was otherwise enjoyable
though. I guess. Except that my favorite character (though fairly minor to the
show) was being understudied by someone who was awful at acting.
Quote by animangaYay! I've wanted this
since I saw a tiny image in Newtype USA. Thanks!
Good evening.
I'm sorry that the reply slows.
Thank you for writing the comment.
There is a thing that wants to ask you.
I think that Anime from which the parody of Code Geass comes out has increased
recently.
Especially, the parody of Lelouch sees a lot.
Quote by animangaI probably liked the
first singer best, her voice was...younger, is the only word I can think of.
Clearer, or something to that effect. Though I did like the second singer's
voice - just not as much with this song.
I might be biased because I hate almost all her other
work. She has a beautiful upper register, but her speaking voice sounds like a
stuffy-nosed chipmunk.
Quote by animangaOur school announced
that it's doing several senior productions this year - though our school has a
tendency to create its own musicals.
How do those turn out? When I was in high school we did some
nice shows, Pippin, Chicago, and The Secret Garden, and...one more I forgot. It
was probably Grease... I never got to be in them because I'm an awful dancer and
only a mediocre singer. Doesn't help that I'm an alto either, they have like no
parts, ever, except in the ensemble I guess.

Quote by animangaMost of the cast don't
actually sing though (lessons, choirs - whatever) and so they didn't really sing
with their full voices. Kind of like they held back because they were too
nervous to do otherwise. And the auditioning is really stupid too, you all sing
at once and they walk around and listen out for good singers. My friend
auditioned for a production that way and got the lead part. And she is one of
the worst singers I have ever heard.
I was thinking, "Have they heard you sing, by yourself ?"
Hahaha, at my school you
had to sing by yourself and act in a pair, only dancing was in a group. And as a
general gauge of talent you could see what year they were in, lower years had to
be GOOD, higher years (especially those about to graduate) usually got in
because the dance and theater teachers pitied them.
Also funny, they'd hire a professional orchestra for the performances, big YOU
SUCK to the school orchestra, lol.
Hmm come to think of it my sister just started high school this year and it must
be coming up, I should ask what they're doing.

It might be good today.
Long-awaited Code Geass R2 was broadcast in Japan.
I also saw R2.
To tell the truth, it is shock.
Spoiler:
Lelouch seemed to give up the life. However, it was a lie.
Lelouch had been brainwashed to Britannic.
It was used to lure out C.C.
The development in the future is the enjoyment.

Great lot of fun, I've never bought a top-level ticket before, now I know what I've been missing out on! Not only did I show up all the ushers who thought I was in the cheap seats, we had complimentary sushi and drinks afterwards and I met so many people, it was a blast.
I was so sad when I got there, I didn't have my camera with me, and I was sitting next to the mayor of Ontario who was recording everything on his. And on top of that, at the after-party my camera ran out of batteries so I only got a few pictures, and really... I don't look very good in the ones I did get.
I might crop myself out and put some of the pictures on Wikipedia though, it's tough business getting good shots of celebrities.
God and now that I think about it, I let them all use my pen to autograph stuff for other people and I didn't get a single one for myself! :/
Well at least *I* know a bunch of famous people used my pen. Still, I wonder what I was thinking...

In my school they tailored each audition for the part you wanted, depending on what they thought was the most important skill for a particular part.
So
I'm taking them one at a time and hoping people will switch seats with us.
Anyway, this whole month I'm seeing Wicked every Friday. Fun stuff, all my friends wanted to go, but they're sold out of seats next to each other.
Good evening.
I'm sorry that the reply slows.
Thank you for writing the comment.
There is a thing that wants to ask you.
I think that Anime from which the parody of Code Geass comes out has increased recently.
Especially, the parody of Lelouch sees a lot.
Do you think it is good?
Heya, thanks for the fav on Domeki the Archer! I really appreciate it! <3 Much love directed at you animanga =D!
I might be biased because I hate almost all her other work. She has a beautiful upper register, but her speaking voice sounds like a stuffy-nosed chipmunk.
How do those turn out? When I was in high school we did some nice shows, Pippin, Chicago, and The Secret Garden, and...one more I forgot. It was probably Grease... I never got to be in them because I'm an awful dancer and only a mediocre singer. Doesn't help that I'm an alto either, they have like no parts, ever, except in the ensemble I guess.

Hahaha, at my school you had to sing by yourself and act in a pair, only dancing was in a group. And as a general gauge of talent you could see what year they were in, lower years had to be GOOD, higher years (especially those about to graduate) usually got in because the dance and theater teachers pitied them.
Also funny, they'd hire a professional orchestra for the performances, big YOU SUCK to the school orchestra, lol.
Hmm come to think of it my sister just started high school this year and it must be coming up, I should ask what they're doing.
