How long does it usually take you to do a vector? I keep hearing about these
people throwing something together in an hour.
If someone throws a vector together in an hour, they aren't doing it right.
Vectors can take hours and days to do. Most of mine are done over the course of
days. I would say on average most of mine take around 12 hours atleast if not
more for some. It's a long process, but it has a very nice out come.
Quote by TinbadHi Fluke, its been a while.
I was wondering a few things about vectoring. what method do you use to do the
line art?
Someone just asked me the same thing on my blog, that wouldn't have been you
would it? xD Even so, I'll just copy over what I responded to him.
I use a combination of 4 brushes when I illustrate, you might be able to see
what brushes I'm using in the .ai file you downloaded...I thought it should show
up, but I could be wrong. I use a default brush, just that round one for like
some connecting parts where a sharp point isn't needed. I use a Artistic Ink
brush, the very bottom one that comes with Illustrator already (it's thick in
the middle and has points on both ends) and then finally the Jimro brush set
that you can download here - http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/26865887/.
A lot of what I do is messing around with line thickness to see what looks
right, I also play around with those brushes changing between them until it
looks right to me. For really long lines I usually use the Artistic Ink brush
that way it doesn't look too thin of a line. Then for the shorter more fine
lines I use the Jimro brush set.
Quote by Tinbadabsolute wonderful job on
this. love they way you used the ink.
hehe. hey Tinbad san! thanks for commenting, it's an awesome paper i used,
however it's only mechanical pencil and adjusted the levels in PS. glad you
liked it.
Quote by TinbadIts always wonderful to see
your work. Such great attention to detail and scale.

you know, you could also have excluded the pixie and faded the side of the guy.
Or done the ultra tough thing and reconstructed the character XP, then again
that wouldnt be the same
hehehe. great idea, i might as well try that.. ! i shoulda thought of that
earlier... ... thanks for commenting!
*Jumps into guestbook.* Wow, the letters are all...Black...Wtf am I writing?
HELLLOOOOO?! Oh, if I highlight it I can see what i'm writing. I wonder how much
of this i'm misspelling. Um, anyway. HI TINBAD-SAN! ^^ How are you? I haven't
talked to you in a long time. Oh, we all miss you at World Of Darkness. You
dropped out a long time ago. Wow. @.@ You should come back. Jeno-san is telling
a story as of right now, but we'd love for you to come back.
Quote by TinbadAbout your "gotta have
something.." submission. For some reason the thumb is blank but when I DL
it I can see it. Im not so sure about doujin these days, but MT has gotten a
little more strict on sticking to anime based art, there are some small
exceptions though.
Yea, I noticed that. I think there's something wrong when I uploaded it. If you
view it full screen, you get it in all its huge scanned gloryness. Just download
it and make it smaller or take a screenshot or what have you. It's coolies ^_^

Quote by TinbadAwsome wall. I love the
look of it and the quality of the images in it.
the only small issue it seems to have seems to be more evident in the thumb than
the full, it looks a little stretched because of persective. But the content
more than makes up for that tiny detail.
great job!
hiya Tinbad
thanks
does it really?
the image hasnt been stretched, its just due to the perspective
Hollaa, Thnx so much for the comment on my Vlad the Impaler, I like to much

Yup, the lines are just paths not objects.
I know that... tis one is a really beautiful scan... and it's very difficult to blend in a wall and more if it's differ in style...
Thanks for the comment in my weird wall!
