Yeah, I agree with you too. Amongst them I like Michael Ballack the most! I like his curly hairs though! XD *drools* Germany does know how to pick a team Captain! :D

Why you... you don't need to tolerate on me cuz I like Germany.. hehe.. ;) I'm missing the feel of betting too if you are on the same boat as me. You know, Rue-chan is on the same boat as me. So, you wouldn't want to lose to Rue-chan yet, right? :)

Yeah Ballack's been one of my favorite players for quite a while
Curly hair?
That's what most asians dont have haha

Hmm true.. If I lose, I'm losing my pride as a man!...
But then again I dont really have any pride
It's for the fun of it really
And I do have faith that both teams will play well (but Italy will just player better that's all :p )

r q g

i am gonna answer your post later, for the time being.. Game is On! *drags ni-chan along*

come on ni-chan! this match is crucial! T_T we can;t lose twice in a row! :D *hugs*

Yep! Malaysia is consisting of 3 races mostly. They are Malays, Chinese and Indians. Mostly, government schools is Malay schools because majority of the students is Malays. I'm a Chinese but I didn't attend Chinese school because studying in Chinese school is very difficult compare to government school. Example, like the rules and regulations. So, you can expect to see a lot of Chinese people here. ;) Maybe you can spot me too! haha.. :) But no worries, Koreans are abundance in Kuala Lumpur. You can find a Korean village near KL (Kuala Lumpur). Here, got everything that you want back in Korea. Like the supermarkets, restaurants. All the Koreans gather at this area. I always bumped into Koreans students while taking public transport, bus back home from my school. You see, in the same area as my school got 2 international schools and all the Koreans students went there. Yes, a lot of Koreans came here to study. If you wished to study here, you must really investigate the college background. I do prefer you to study at the renowned college in Malaysia. Those kinds really offered the better choices. I have no doubt that you will make a good choice regarding to your future. ;)

Wow, you are interested in Malaysia cultures? In which part dat capture your attention?

Haha.. well, my friend learned advance English language in language center. Maybe because of this she was able to capture French easily when she has a cousin who speaks French. At that time, her cousin stays with her for 2 months and she is already capable of speaking and listening! What an incredible memories! Oh, I meant never learned "formally".

Japanese sure is hurting my head! Are you learning the hiragana part or the katakana? I still remember the final paper that I took had more than 500 questions and I got 4 hours to answer them.
There is one time when my friend tests me on the numbers in Japanese. So, I easily tell her from 1 to 10 in Japanese and she wonders why I could remember them so well. It's all because I'm a fan of Bleach anime and there are 13 Soul Society protection squads in it. I can go well till 1000 too. ;) Animes is so wonderful! XD

I see that's very interesting
How did the Chinese and the Indians get there?
There must be a lot of culture clashes
Wait if you're chinese, is your nationality chinese or malaysian?
Well if they're that many Chinese people, I probably cant find you
Come to think of it, my other Malaysian friend was also Chinese....
Aah personally I dont want interactions with koreans
Dont really like them anymore.....
Thank you for your encouragement

Well especially the one you just told me about the 3 racial groups

She must be a language genious or something
Making me quite jealous

Yes Hurting my head too
I must say it's very similar to Korean both in grammar and vocabulary but it's still very very hard
I memorized both Hiragana and Katakana but sometimes I still forget
Hahah anime has helped me quite a lot as well XD

Quote by vatican92Ahh yes that was quite unexpected
My Dutch friend will be quite upset because of that

Oh... hmm I was thinking of cheering for Spain since I think they have better players.... and as you said they have a cooler uniform X-P
But I'll bet on Italy since they're just as good

But for the next match, I'm betting for Germany :p

Quote:
How come you bet on a team that I had my eyes on! ~_~
It's not FAIR.... X-O
Maybe you are scare that I might win too many matches against you eh? So, you make your move first?! :\
Whatever the reasons is, I will always cheers on the team that have a better UNIFORM! XD
GO GO GERMANY!

Well I let you bet on Russia and Spain so I'm betting on Germany for the next match
Fair isnt it?
Well then we can both cheer for them
Sometimes I dont get your taste in uniforms

Maybe this wills clarity a bit. In a match, between two teams, I will choose whoever that has the better look. For example, Germany Vs. Turkey. I don't feel like liking Turkey uniform. It's all red and doesn't have any nice color other than red on it. Well, that's what I think of. Germany on other hand has more color variation. Their national flag looks good too. ;)

Alright, it's fair enough to both if us. You can have your bet first. ~_~

I cheer for the team with my favorite players.
I personally prefer the Germany uniform as well (and the flag) but it's because they have my favorite players like Klose, Ballack, Lahm, Podolsky and Schweinsteiger

Okay since you insist on Germany so much I'll bet on Turkey
I like their style (although I dont really have a favorite player there  )
And it's no fun if there's no bet

ey... watching tonight...think I will stay up! man, never done this before...almost feels we live next door and are school friends! lol watching something at the same time cross borders! :)

ni-chan..I really wish I could have you as my real sister T_T

btw, talking of business, I am betting on Spain. Hopefully, this time we are gonna win the bet? you watching the match right?

r q g

This time... I guess I lost the bet
But I'll be sure to win the next one X-P
Who knew Russia would pull such an upset?

Here are same too! The homework and assignments are given out each week. The teachers wouldn't remind us to pass up the homework because they want us to do it voluntarily. If you care about your marks then you pass up your homework. If the teacher left the classroom, he/she will not accept your homework for that week. My teachers are very strict. For some reasons, my class always gets to go back late. Usually after the bell rang, we have to stay put for another 5-15 minutes. Even though there is nothing to teach or learn but we still have to stay longer compare to the other classes. I wonder why? :/

Dress codes are mostly the same among all the government schools in my region. Some schools are different like in Chinese schools; it's stricter than any other schools.

Well, I learn Japanese before but that's only for 3 months course (in college). I only learn the basics, the hiragana. My friend attends Japanese class for one year and she learned katakana. Within a year, she can read and write Japanese words and also speaking & listening. She comes very handy when I attend Japanese class with her. At final exam, she manages to get perfect scores and she is the top Japanese student in my class. Haha.. Although she is good in Japanese but she is better in French. She didn't attend any French courses or learn any French before but she can speak and listen. Only writing and reading is not very well. Japanese is very fun to learn. But need a lot of memorizing. If you have a good memory then you will excel in capturing this fine language.

I will cheers for you if you go to Japan to study! I prefer to go somewhere else to study than in Malaysia. A lot of Malaysians choose to go to Australia. Australia education system is a lot better than here. Many who cames back can find a decent job and have their future guaranteed. Haih... I wish I can study in Australia too... :(

I see
I think it's good that way because then you learn the importance of responsibility and earn the grade
Our teachers accept the homework even if they're sick
They call a substitute and ask the sub to collect the homework
Here, some teachers are nice so they let you turn in the homework by the end of school hour but some teachers want the homework turned in at the begining of class
That's quite odd... maybe you should ask the teacher why
That's wasting 5-15 minutes.... time is precious indeed :\

Hmm Chinese schools?
Are there many Chinese people in Malaysia?

That doesnt make sense
How does she understand French if she never learned it?
Yes a lot of memorizing indeed.... my brain hurts
It even has a different name for all the dates in a month @_@

Thank you :)
I see... Some of my friends are aiming for Australia too
My father suggested England too but for some reason those 2 countries dont interest me
Seems like a rather dull place to be in..... and US, costs too much and I dont really want to go to the US either
I just wanted to go to Malaysia because I really do hate korea.... I mean korean colleges and I thought the culture was interesting although I've only seen a little
Also I heard that Malaysia was improving rapidly under a new president or something (it's just what I heard so I dont really know)
Well wherever you are, if you study hard and put effort, I think it'll pay off

I wanna bet on Russia too but I know Holland is not a team to mess with either so I'll put my money on Holland
Wow... What you do? I stayed up till 4:30am
But now I know that they dont show Euro matches here

Well, my local national network got live telecast of Euro matches but for certain matches only. Yesterday match start at 3am and I watch till 1st extra time. It's already past 5am and I just can't stay any longer or else I'm going to die. Today, I was going out for shopping and I was like a zombie trying to get my eyes open wide... o_0

Nyeh, I'm resting tonight cuz I can't get to watch Holland Vs. Russia on live. Next matches will be Germany Vs. Turkey and the final. I will stay up late to watch both. ;)

Which country are you living? I'm from Malaysia. Here, everyone is a football maniac. All the cafeterias, restaurants, clubs, bars, are full with football fans. Yeah, Holland is a very strong team. I don't deny it either. K, let's hope my team will win today's match! XD GO RUSSIA! *cheers*

Lucky you.... in this country, the national sport (or watever) is basketball so they dont really care for football
I see... I was bored yesterday so I just spammed on MT till 4am, read a book and went to sleep
This is my second time.... I was hoping to watch the Russia vs Sweden match but found out they didnt show it and I waited yesterday but they didnt show it yesterday either

Hoho I see
I would love to watch all the games but they just dont show it here *sigh*
So I'm being updated by my friends and the internet

I live in a very far country from yours.....
Just joking... very close actually... not as close as Singapore but I live in the Philippines
That's quite close isnt it?
Very inconveniant living in this country.... there's a basketball court every few blocks but they dont have a soccer field
Everybody in Korea (I'm a korean btw) are soccer fanatics as well
I lost interest in football for few years but recently i'm finding it quite interesting again
I'm sure both countries will do well but I guess since I have my money on Holland, i'll have to cheer for them

Oh, you are Korean, living in Philippines.. I got a friend from Philippines too. She always go back to her hometown near Manila. A very small fishing village in a quite remote town. From Malaysia only took 2 & half hour flight to Manila. Do you know how to speak in their language? Geez.. I forget what they called it. I think it sound like Mandalau or something like dat, I can't remember ady. Speaking of Korean, I like to watch Korean dramas. All of them are so touching! XD But I can't stand watching every single Korean girl crying for every scenes. Too much tears for me. ^_^'

What are you doing in Philippines? Studying?

Yah... way too many koreans living in this country....
It's called Tagalog but unfortunately I didnt learn the language
It's like a mixture of English, Spanish and... some other language
Meh... personally I think Korean dramas are rather dull and cliche
They need to revolutionize the plots because it's always this rich dude and this pretty girl doing this and that and then getting married or dying or stuff like that

Uhh... intially our family was meant to go to Libyia but we had twists here and there so I lived in many countries and now I'm here...
It's just because of my parent's work...
But I'm glad I didnt live in korea though

So coincidence! I used to have a friend from Libya too. His uncle is a diplomat in Malaysia and he is an Arabian. But I'm not close to him so I don't learn much about his country. Yea, it's called Tagalog! But I thought it's a mixture of Bahasa Melayu (Indonesia and Malaysia national language). I still remember she explain to me that some words are exactly the same as Bahasa Melayu. Like the pronunciation and spellings. I learn a few words like how to say "I love you", "brother" and "sister". But I forget all ady.. haha.. XD

You sound like you don't like to stay in Korea. Why is it? Too much pressure?

Wow you know a lot of people from different countries
Well... I'm dont know much about the language but they use both English words and Spanish words in the sentences...
They just use English alphabet here

Well it's just that I have a very bad stereotype against Korea
I used to like it there but living outside made me look at the bigger picture and how korea has so many bad things compared to other countries
And.... since it's my country, I know about it in more detail so I know the bad side (the ones they dont show on TV)
And if I stayed there, I would've been a dog to their education system
They just kill all their young people with excessive education that doesnt even help

Yeah, my college is an International college so I guess I met a few others from Korea, Japan, Russia, Turkey, South Africa, India, and others. I don't really know them well cuz they are in another courses and I always meet them when they are having classes. We all are using the same classes for lectures. Besides, my lectures rooms are all visible from outside. The walls are made of glasses, no bricks!

Hm, even in Korea also got some issue bout education system. Here is same too. I was in government school till the secondary level. The teacher is always lazy to attend classes and let the pupils to do whatever they want in the class. I'm considering lucky to be in the top class for all the years. If you go to top class, you can aspect the teachers to do some teaching. If not, you are just attending a class without learning anything. In government school, it's called "You do it yourself effort". Whether you choose to study or not it's depends on you and the teacher will care less about you either. Mm.. I didn't know much about your country education system so I will not say a thing. Every country has their own dilemmas.. :\

My school is international too but most of the population is dominated by Americans and koreans
Wow... lucky you... we need more diversity in our school....
Maybe it's because of the overwhelming number of koreans in my school that I dont have a good view of korea....

Well they always had a problem with education in that country
I see....
Well in Korea, students spend more time in academies and doing private studies with tutors rather than in school
The only thing they care about in school is tests and they dont really give homeworks either
Also, there's a big exam in the last year of high school... it's like the Korean version of the SAT
The day when that exam is being taken, they dont even let planes take off because there's a listening section and students might not hear properly
They make students study like crap but even if you study like hell, it's very hard to get into the university in the capital or even if you graduate a good university, it's hard to find a good job

merged: 06-21-2008 ~ 10:53am

Quote by nisnoopy3

It's the same for Korean (in Malaysia) to enroll into international school cuz they can't adapt to the schooling cultures in local school. The education system is very hard on them. Here, emphasis more on giving homeworks. They will make you sweats with tons of homeworks to do whether is school day or holidays. They will give out many homeworks and if you didn't do it, you have to face the punishment like getting canning or scolding from teacher. Canning and scolding is very popular in Malaysia's school (sometimes slaps is included if very serious). If you enroll into a Chinese school, the rules and regulations are very strict! Like hair for boys must be short and not touching the eyes brown. Girls have to wear only a pair of earring and only small type will be allowed.

We do have that kind of exams. We just need to get as many As in the final papers then we hope can get a place in public university. It's called SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia). SPM is not very hard. If you do some past years exam questions and revise a bit then you can get score As for all the subjects.

Our school kinda crams everything
They give us a project every week and a ton of homework
And many tests above that
But our school period is shorter than other schools
We have longer breaks and get dismissed early.... but the bad thing is too many assignments
Hmm I see... I dont know about Korea since I've never been to a korean school but in our school, the teacher just deducts 30% of the homework grade if it's late

Our school have dress code as well
The boys' hair cant touch the eye (not the brow), and the side hairs must not cover the ear and the back hair must not touch the collar of the uniform
I dont think it's too strict on the girls though except for the length of the skirt

Oh I see...
I was thinking of going to college for Malaysia (since I hate korean universities)
but now I'm aiming for japan.... although I have to master Japanese in only 2 years

It's alright if you spam my guestbook cuz I'll do the same with you too! XD *spam, spam, spam*

I have no idea that the whole situation you're facing is totally the same with me during my college life! Are you sure you are not spying on me? hehe.. >_< Hearing this, I think u and me have the same experiences and the same bitterness all this time. Me, too are not very good in expressing my emotion to my friends and my parents. I have many things messing in my head that it emotionally affected me. Sometimes, I will just smile and doesn't say a word in the class. I will keep myself numb and spacing off a lot. Close friends will notice my behavioral changes but some just acted that you are that way because of the status as a "brilliant student who got a scholarship". When my parents ask me, I'll always answer them that I got lots of issues in college and I don't aspect them to understand my situation. So many complicated things and I also don't know how to tell this to them. I'm taking a 2 year course. Each year got 3 terms. Each term got a team assignment. Whenever, a new term started, I will feel depress because I know there will be all sort of things that will happen. My class will join with the juniors. Choosing the teammates is done by the lecturers so they will choose whomever that is wicked is to be with the good students. My team always gets the bad types. Imagine having to ask them to do the work that I assigned them to do is asking a child to understand the philosophy of life. It is so hard on me! I have to call them up and do some checking whether they are doing the job or not. Some of them are working part time, so I have to accommodate their time with mine for meetings. Some agree will attend but they didn't show up. Then the dateline is closing in. Do you think I'm doing these for fun? After all, the works that I assigned to my teammates are all done by me! I have to do their parts for the sake of this team assignment! And then they got the same marks as me for the little efforts they put in. Do you think it's fair for me? I didn't even hearing them saying "Thank you" to me. Worst, I have to put a smiley face in front of them and discuss nicely so that I don't upset them. If I did, I think they will not participate in the meetings or have done anything at all! How many restless sleeps have I face for this past 2 years?

I'm kind of person who doesn't show off my emotions even to my best friends. My parents might know something did happen but sometimes they never ask me about it because they knew it's a very complicated thing for them to handle. I just don't want them to worry about me because they have their own issues as well. Basically, I often hide my sadness behind my smile and always have a cherish face all the time. ANIME is definitely the BEST cure in my dictionary! I must agree with you! This one anime that I found in love is Fruits Basket. The jokes in it make me want to cry! It's just so silly! >.< Then, I found this comedy anime early this year, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu! I watched this with my relatives back at home town. Me and other 2 relatives squeeze into a small room with no good air ventilation and under a very hot afternoon, using a laptop watching this anime on the floor. It's just that all the rooms with power sockets is taken up and only left is this room. We just laugh through the whole afternoon till dinner time. Haha.. Imagine watching anime 3 & half hours straight without leaving the room!

Friends become enemy is really a very sad thing. They will think that you betray them and they have loss all the confidence at you and don't trust you anymore. Trust is a very important value in searching a friend. I may have no experience in this kind but I do feel a little of this. Hopefully this will in turn become the most important values in life. In other words, I think it's good to have gone through this kind of situation. It had shaped me to become who I am today. I hope it will do the same to you too! Cheers and stay positive always! ;)

Best regards,
ni-chan.

And it gets longer and longer muwahahhaha!

Yeah I actually rented a spy satellite scanning all over your place... you may want to contact the authority to take it down for you lol XD though I think you should think twice for there will be implications for your actions X-P

Nothing beats the fun if you watched anime with someone. I remember the first time I have watched Dragonball Z with my father. Although he is not into anime, he liked that series. There will always be an intense atmosphere here whenever the protagonist is fighting with a villain. We rejoiced every time the main character is winning, and felt really nervous when the lead char is kinda in pinch. It sure was a good old times... hmmm this quite makes me feel I'm growing older >.<

When it comes to friends, I give almost all of my trust. I try to be very loyal to them. Trust as you said is very essential in friendship. I believe it would be pretty impossible for one to build up this kind of relationship without it. I would like to compare it with a piece of brick. As the time goes by, you gradually add some cement to at least strengthen its outer layer which you try the best you could to let the brick as tough as it can be. It is inevitable though not to accidentally drop that brick. This will actually test how hard you may have built your brick. If that crack is still pretty manageable, you just plaster it and continue to add cement. If it's not, well that's it, although it can still be mended through one's perseverance. Nothing will always begets nothing unless you tried.
After all the end result determines it all.

Have I said this to you? Minitokyo is my first and only forum and you together with Rue-chan, chaoscraz and all my friends here in my list are also my first and only online friends. You may not realize this but I give it my all to trust you guys hoping we can build a strong bond of friendship. Take care and have a nice day!

thanks. your userpage is pretty cool too. i'm not much of a item collector, i just have a few swords and posters. i haven't read the manga in a while, but i'm up to date on the anime, although i don't really like the new episodes(because they completely ignored the Arrancar arc, which is the best so far). i can't wait till they get back to it again.

and you're not the only one who had trouble spelling Ulquiorra. it's not much of a prob now, it's trying to pronounce it. i keep hearing it in the anime and still can't pronounce it right.

anyway, thanks for stopping by. later.

Well, in my term only got 6 students and I'm considering lucky to be ranked top student although my seniors are far better than me. I'm not so bright but I did try my hardest to pass the finals and get credits from them. Everyone in college including the lecturers believes that I'm the best in everything. Maybe because I got the scholarship to study there and they assumed that I must be genius! It is so not true at all! Everyone looked up at me and take me as their model. Sometimes, I feel so tired from their expectations. I didn't think highly of myself because there are times when I need their helps. But they never consider my feelings and not letting a hand when I need them the most. It's so frustrating...

All these happened for 6 months till I graduated. My seniors are my best friends and they are the ones who understand my situation. But they graduated half year before me and I was feeling lonely without them. We share the same hobbies (3 of us likes anime and manga) and enjoy every single time together. One of them always provides me with animes and goods related to my fav animes. There is my happiest time in college.

Everything is in the past now and it will remained in my memory forever. I don't feel grudge to my friends nor the lecturers because it is a waste of time and energy to keep thinking of them. I got plenty of things to care of after graduated. I need to start off my training soon and if I didn't get the training maybe I will consider getting a job or something like that.

Yeah, Azirah-chan is throwing me a party! Yippee! Yes, we must invite our good old friend, Rue-chan! *dancing around* What is the theme will be? Must be some crazy ideas... Hehe.. I'm thankful for having so many good friends in Mt! All you people out there is receiving my thanks and thanks again for listening to me all the times and writing to me too! In returns, I will helps as much as I can as long I'm available.

LoL you're in college now? I lost track of u since our last chat.. Gome... -_- How is your college life? You sound like taking a 4 year course. What course is u taking? Life is like a rollercoaster, I've heard this in lots of movies.. (no offense) hehe.. You just firing off from the starter point and u got 3 years to complete the ride from now on. I don't have to worry about you because I believe you can past all the points till the last pit stop. For extra caution, I think I will prepare a bag for you incase u do get nausea. hehe.. X-P

Best regards,
ni-chan.

You know ni-chan I just just love to spam in your book that's why I quoted it XD haha. Yes I'm in college now and taking up Computer Science. Why? Simple I love computers and someday I'm going to marry my compie lololol X-Pjust kidding here.... Somehow I can relate to you, I do sometimes feel that I'm being pressured by my profs and classmates. I too am a scholar and getting good grades so everyone thinks I'm genius, smart and can do everything. But what they do not know is it's really hard for me to keep pace with their expectations. Every test they expect me to get a perfect score, or prolly highest score in the class. Okay I can still bear with that if the lesson is still manageable. Of course some profs will praise me for it and I hope they do not do that. Why you may ask? There will be someone who will just tell me behind my back that my head is getting bigger figuratively, and worst even calling me a sycophant and favorite of the teachers that's why I get high grades. It is as if they replace my efforts on attentively listening to every lecture and reviewing before an exam to brown-nosing those professors. Hell I don't even talk to my profs before, after or even during the class so how can I do that. I totally almost blew my top on this one but there's no point arguing with them and I just ignored them. I know I'm not doing anything wrong and getting my desired results because I worked on it. And here are the projects which will always be made by me, a solo effort without getting any much help with my group mates. They just think I can do it effortless as I am a 'smart guy'. There will be times when I can get help from them when I tell them that I cannot do it myself but most of the time they will just ignore me and depend on me. So what is the essence of having a group if only one is working? It would be better for me if I just made a solo trip than working on a group. Don't even let me start on assignments and exams. It is worst -_- When I think about it, I sometimes feel that being branded as such is really a pain and hoping that I am just one of those mediocre student. Though I can do that, I can not afford to sacrifice my scholarship and my future. All of that I surpassed in a year and now starting my 2nd. The mistake I have done in the past is that I tolerated them because there's always this fear of mine that they would be angry to me and will treat me as their enemy if their wants is not fulfilled. It is a different story but to make the long story short there's this best friend of mine that became my worst enemy, it's really tough I say. But now, as I have adjusted to the life of being a college student and made a few friends, I will change my attitude so these will be controlled.

Hmmm I may have ranted but these are my emotions that I did not share with my friends, and even with my parents. You know I have a hard time expressing my feelings yet I easily tell you that. Yes that is me, i rather keep my feelings on myself than share it to others. Maybe there would be a factor that you don't know me in personal because you just met me online but really after reading your post, it all just came out. Thanks for reading if you have reached up to this point and for preparing a bag as well ;)
