What are you fav horror/psych. thriller movies?

Now there's more films for my list. The only ones I've heard of are The Village and Misery (seen it once on TCM, a channel for old films), it's well done! I've also read the book a couple of times (big fan of Stephen King!) and most of the films made from his books don't do them justice, but Misery was quite good (I watched it at night and couldn't help looking at the door from time to time )

I've seen The Shining...3 times? I was surprised to see how many things were changed from the book, like the ending -I preferred the ending from the book because it tied up all the loose strings, the one from the film was open: we don't know what happened to Wendy and Danny, the hotel remained the way it was before etc. You should read the book if you haven't, the concept of "shine" is explained more than in the film! And I agree, that scene is basically the "cover" of the film, it's even on the cover of the novel I have

As for others, I'd mention
- Pink Floyd: The Wall: not quite a thriller but still weird and the music is <3
- The Doors: the strangest film I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot
- The Others: psychological thriller, creepy atmosphere and a nice twist in the end!
- The Triangle (2005): messes with your mind a lot; it's long but it's worth it!
- A Clockwork Orange: it's sinister at some parts, the book is also good.
- The Birds: OK, people might hate me for this, but I don't like how Hitchcock made it. The actors are annoying and the ending is disappointing. You should read the book, it's much better, but I guess it's personal opinion

But seriously I think your explanation would go better with the game than mine.

Ah I still remember my first console fondly, it was the Sega Meag Drive and my first video game ever was "The Lion King" for that console (my brother got Batman, lol). My favourite games for that console are Soleil and Landstalker. Next we got a SNSE for which my favourite games are Illusion of Time (Illusion of Gaia in America I think) and Yoshi's Island 2.
Now the giant leap to PS1 and 2 on those I like RPGs the most like Suikoden (1+2, 4 sucks big time), Final Fantasy series(my favourite is 9), Final Fantasy Tactics, Breath of Fire series and Grandia (1+2). I also like more action oriented (not that much action actually ) games for example Vagrant Story (best game ever) and Project Zero series (Fatal Frame in America). When I was a little (=a lot) younger I also liked to play some Beat'em-ups like Tekken or Soul Blade.
So what do you like to play? Is your list completely diferent from mine?

Inside the Vietnam War this would work wonders with anything from Akira.
Zombie Strippers you can find awesome scans for this poster in the DOGS gallery. You can find everyone in the poster, including the old man who smokes. The design is also very good and a bit funky, as you like them (personal fav)
Bet Your Life You can make a Code Geass one using this scan or this one. It also fits with the character.
Saawariya Indian movie, but if you're in a pinch, you can find a lovely couple everywhere and fit it into a green bg. lookie, erase the blood and voila X3

I'll look for more if these aren't enough. But it's quite difficult. Also sorry for forcing quite a bit Code Geass on you

I thought 6 months was the time that FOXDIE would kill him and 3 months was when it's be unstable enough to kill others. In the beginning, he mentions that he has a year at the most, and Otacon pretty much confirms it.

But considering he was put together like a puzzle after suffering heavy burn wounds he still looks too darn good.
About Snake's future I looked it up on the metal gear wiki, so the new Foxdie (he got from Drebin) is going to mutate too but it's assumed that Snake will die before that. Wether it's due too the old Foxdie or the accelerated aging I don't know.

I'm finally going to be able to vote, and I don't like any of the options Unfortunately, I had already registered before all of the campaigning started, so it's too late for me. But enough of politics... They make me oh so bitter... Where I live you don't have to have a license to get called for jury duty I wouldn't mind jury duty so much, but here they expect you to spend your entire day at it and they don't even pay you enough to cover the money you have to spend for parking. So basically it really hurts if you're working, which is when I got called. I lost an entire days worth of work and came out still having to pay out of pocket.

I'm actually about 75% done with my wallpaper... It didn't take me nearly as long as I thought it would to vector the scan. Maybe I should make you guess what it's about I will at least say that it's an Asian Horror/Drama Film

Nothing like a good ghost movie to liven things up! I couldn't agree more, horror/psychological thrillers are the best. I'd choose Silence of the Lambs over Prince of Darkness anytime. Though I do love a line someone over at the IMDb boards once said about the main character in Prince of Darkness: "evil Satan juice canister" I still laugh when I remember, some things will go down in history as being totally stupid but good nonetheless! Which are your favorite films? I'll have more to watch that way *looks at list with over 100 films waiting to be watched *

I was actually thinking about downloading Prom Night and watching it just for the laughs -as you can see on IMDb, it fails as a horror film (and from the plot outline, it reminds me a LOT of Carrie). I don't know if it's worth wasting 1+ hour of my life on it, though

Maybe it's just because she wasn't emphasized as such a super genius in the first game so it kind of rubbed me the wrong place. Probably it's so easy to establish her as super intelligent and talented because there isn't really technology on the level shown in the game developed yet, so you can't quite compare it with anything. About FOXDIE I think they gave some kind of explanation about the way it affects cells, maybe I should look it up too see if it's even slightly possible.

I think 18 is the age requirement where I live, I'm not sure if it's a state by state rule, however. If it's the same for you, then I'm sorry I hope you don't have to go through it anytime soon. It's not exactly what I'd call fun.

I had already talked to MapleRose when the contest was first announced. She told me that painting some of it is okay, but it has to be mostly vectored. It's just hard for me to not paint most of the image I picked because A) It lends itself better to painting & B) I like painting on the computer But so far I've behaved and only painted in a few small places. I'm just hoping it turns out as nice as it looks in my head, but I won't know that until I'm further along.

So what did you think about Naomi's part in the game? Personally I found it weird how she got elevated to an all-round genius. Now she's a doctor, developed nano-machines that make you immortal, can write superior computer viruses D: it's a little much for my taste. Otacon seemed so useless because he basically got outdone by Naomi and a little girl, he didn't even build the Mrk.II himself but with Sunny's help. The poor guy also seems kinda cursed when it comes to women he likes, though I couldn't bring myself to find her death scene that touching, Eva's seemed much more tragic to me.

Oh, mine end up turning out completely different than the original idea as well. It's just that I have so many concepts swimming through my mind, that I at least always have some sort of idea to start with. As for the difficulty factor, same goes for my work. Which is why I try to do things that people might not think about, you know? Like vectoring a completely HARD image in a unconventional way.

You're lucky to have so many ideas, I usually start vectoring something and end up with a waller's block when it comes to the background! Honestly, backgrounds are so difficult to think of, in my case! Even the vectoring of a difficult image is easier than coming up with a bg for it

It is pretty funny looking back on it now, but it was kind of scary at the time because a teacher started yelling at me when I tried to leave the room, and I wasn't sure how to handle it. I ended up having to show her my ID to prove I wasn't a student.

I guess I don't really wish that I was taller, just that my little sister wasn't considerably taller than me. She has more of a childlike look than I do (since she's thirteen), but given her height she has the same issue that you mentioned of being mistaken for being older, but then so does my brother. At least at your age you don't have to worry about jury duty. I'm always afraid that I'll be summoned during the summer since I can't use school to get out of it

I'm working on an entry right now, but some of my relatives are in town so I'm not sure how much of it I will get done. I'm also having to fight the urge to paint the majority of it since it's a wallpaper for Vector-Wallers (don't think they'd appreciate that for an entry)

You'd have to play the other games to understand why he looks like an old farty guy in the new game. I'd attempt at explaining, but that's count as spoiling things for you in case you do get into the series.

The background that I made fits this particular scan of snake better. This is because the scan is from MGS2, in which Snale's part of the game took place on an oil tanker in the New York harbor, whereas the snowy miltary base is from the first game. I was gonna submit it as just a vector, but it was created specifically for my brother as a wallpaper for the PS3. But to each his or her own opinion.

I think the reason why I'm much more active with Dark-Wallies is because I joined when there was like... 10 members. So I've kinda been there from the beginning and I've seen it grow and it wasn't as overwhelming as the larger groups. But yeah, we all share an interest with dark wallpapers.

Not all of my titles are nice. A lot of my older ones are boring or stupid, lol. My newer ones may be better, but that's because I'm older and I have a bigger vocabulary.
I'm listening to music constantly - like almost every second of the day. I'm a huuuuuuuuge music buff. I used to not know one thing about music. But now I do. Also, I used to be like you in that I only listened to Japanese music. But then a friend of mine recommended some songs from some Canadian and American bands, and I fell in love. Over time, I came to listen to music in English, Japanese, Korean, French, Italian, Indian, Spanish, Swedish, and Russian. I listen to almost every genre of music too (the only one I don't listen to is rap and country). So if you're ever interested in listened to something new, just tell me what kind of music you like (as in sound of the actual music part - not lyrics) then I might have some recommendations. Who knows, listening to other stuff might inspire you in new ways.
